It’s the losing effect. For most characters, when the bar is leaning towards the end of their side, their icon changes, usually to a losing expression. For this mod, blatandos changed it so that when skid and corrupt pump are losing, the corruption fades away.

I feel bad for him, his tears of pain and fear and worry for his friend really sell it away.

I love these touches: In South skid is half corrupted but is ducking and looks like he’s trying not to make noise so pump doesn’t notice him, and so skid can’t get corrupted again/or gets fully corrupted, but during Chiller Skid isn’t corrupted anymore and thinks it’s safe to go, these touches would be probably what I would do in that situation, nice job blantados!
