You can buy your candy at the holidays and save it. My colors were red and silver so I bought up bags of discounted Christmas candy in red and silver and saved it until the wedding. Wrapped candy lasts for a year. Congrats! You are so fun to watch. Love the comment about the white mailbox with gold monogram, that would turn out so cute.

My wedding is in 2 months and it's also mostly white with clear glass for almost everything and hints of mint green. I want the green to come mostly naturally from the greenery in the centerpieces. I'm leaving so many comments. I should just write as I'm watching and hit Send when the video is over! But I went to a wedding on Saturday and the bride kept her flowers in a beautiful vase on the head table. I'm a wedding photographer and that's a simple detail that a lot of brides often forget. Especially for the bridesmaids too. When you think about how much you spend on the flowers, the last thing you should do is lay them on a table.

Thank you for sharing! I got married in 2013 and LOVED planning my wedding, so it's fun to see your ideas and live vicariously through you! Are you thinking about uplighting? If you're having an all-white/clear wedding, uplighting would play off all of the white well and would really change the look of the room, even if you only have the uplighting on for the dancing.

I LOVED this video! You have such a great personality and it really came through in this video. It was candid and fun. I found myself laughing many times. I felt like I was listening to a good friend talk about her wedding plans. More videos like this!!

I used the blue Knot wedding planner binder, it has all of the lists and questions to ask vendors like the one in the Knot Lists book you mentioned, it was great! As for Pinterest, maybe you can search "mirrored wedding" or "crystal wedding"... even though you may not be using crystals, maybe some of the results may be what you had in mind?

Michael's has 50% off coupons. You can only use it on one item, but if you bring several people with you and use a coupon each, you can get the clear vases you want. Also, if you don't tell the bakery your cake is for a wedding and just say it's for an event, it will be a quarter of the price. I became an expert when planning my own wedding. Hope this helps :)

I wanted a clear box for my cards too but also couldn't justify it. I got a glass box to display a basketball in. Flipped it upside down and had a glass place make 2 glass panels to put on top with enough space between the 2 panes of glass for cards to go in. I secured them to the glass box with thin strong double sides tape. It worked perfect

I recently got married in april. For cake I decided to do a dummy cake. Only the bottom tier of my cake was real. It turned out so beautiful with so much detail. And we just had our bakery bring sheet cake to cut up for our guest. It saved us so much money! We also had a dessert table which turned out awesome. Hope that helps a little!

Honestly, I wouldn't wait until January to send your save the dates. In my life, weekends in June tends to book up to a year in advanced. (Of course I had 9 weddings this year and 13 last year.)

Gorgeous shoes have the photographer take a pic of them💞 you can write something special on the bottom like your wedding date or a sweet quote. As for the glass candy bowls go to thrift stores! Everything under $8

Loved it I've been married for about 18yrs now and still enjoyed watching this!! I love watching wedding videos!! I just celebrated my daughter's Quinceanera ( 15 ) and we had a candy bar yes start buying early candy, and vases I work for Homegoods so every time we got some in or on sale I bought I found they are actually cheaper at homegoods or marshalls compared to michaels or hobby lobby Also check Wal-Mart they have good size vases - just a tip be sure the rim of the vase is wide enough for scooper or hAnds ..also I did my daughters save the dates on Wal-Mart.com they came out really nice and they are not expensive at all they even give you envelopes!!! Anyways sorry for long comment Lol ..Congrats!!!!!!

Hey Alex! Again, congratulations to you and Michael! Love your idea about going modern and clear. Enjoy the planning process, it goes so fast. In regards to your dessert table, if you are looking for a local bakery that does monogramed cookies, you can go to dusty's cellar. They can do the cursive "M" for you and you are able to choose what shade of icing you would wan the "M" to be. Also, maybe a possible idea for your dessert table (while going along with your theme) is using glass cake stands to display some desserts. I made my own by using glass candle sticks from hobby lobby and glass plates from bed bath and beyond and used E6000 to glue them together. I got the candle sticks 50% off so they ended up being One last thing: if you are going to order your save the dates online some good places are minted/ mixbook/ wedding paper divas/ mygatsby(for invitations). All of them have great promotions running all of the time. Also, if you are skeptical about ordering online, just order in samples of the ones you are interested in. Many of the places will send you samples for free (especially minted, they send you an additional packet of all their types of envelopes and card stock www.minted.com/wedding-samples). By the end of my wedding planning process, I nearly had a whole box full of samples! Anyways, you probably know a lot of this, but just thought in case you didn't I thought you might be interested!
