“No love story started with salad” I know a couple who actually met through salad, she combined really weird food in her salad and topped it up with ketchup and he stood next to her in line and started their first convo with “what the hell, are you crazy?” They have two kids now.😂

Could you do a video about wedding ideas for introverted couples? I'm not into partying, dancing, drinking, being around too many people, ect but I still want a meaningful and memorable event to celebrate. Any tips or ideas from weddings you've worked before?

That essentially describes my fiance and I, we are having a low key wedding with no dancing or anything like that. Small guest list, ceremony straight into reception, barbecue buffet, and an early night. The whole thing will be said and done in about 5 hours. We're spending the money in the honeymoon instead and keeping the event super low key.

The last wedding I went to had reserved seating in the front that no one ended up sitting in during the ceremony. Make sure that the people it is reserved for know to actually sit there so it looks like people actually went to your wedding

basically, don’t wear white, don’t wear all black (it’s not a funeral), and don’t wear anything too revealing or flashy or takes attention away from the bride. you can look good, but the day isn’t about you. you shouldn’t be fighting for attention with the bride. outfits should be casual formal. dress up but don’t act like you’re going to red carpet event, but not so casual that you wear jeans and shorts. and again ABSOLUTELY NO WHITE. I usually go for a solid colour knee-length dress with black or nude heels. I don’t wear anything to show cleavage and don’t wear anything too short or super form fitting/tight. because again, the day is about the bride. not about you. at least that’s my own basic rules and understanding for wedding guest dress code

I want an unplugged wedding, definitely. When I was younger, I was just going to ask them not to post anything until after the honeymoon, but then my older sister told me about all of the pictures they had to trash because of all the phones in the pictures. My wedding is definitely an unplugged wedding.🔌📲🙅👫

I’m doing a sign for the bathroom asking people to use the hand towels and not the air dryers in the bathroom until after the ceremony. It’s an indoor venue and the bathrooms are close enough that the incredibly loud air dryer would be heard from the ceremony if someone were to use them. We have a lot of kids coming and so there is a chance someone will need to go before we say I do.

We decided to light a candle next to us and maybe write a little sign that indicates the purpose and maybe even add the names of the people who passed. Theoretically you could also mention her in the ceremony...since it was so recent and such a close relative. I am sorry for you loss❤️

My fiancé and I have 3 relatives that passed which we would have loved to have attend our wedding. For our ceremony, my fiancé and I are going to have 3 chairs set up in the front row of the audience and a pic of each loved one will be on “their” chair it with either a boutonnière or corsage next to it- whichever they would’ve worn that day. Then we will move all of their stuff to a memory table for the reception...you can also get locket/picture charms for your bouquet, play their favorite songs in memory of them, light memory candles, or even save seats in the reception as well like we are for the ceremony. Hope that helps some!

Sorry for your loss... I lost my dad last year, wedding is next yr..I saw one idea with a table set up with photos of missing loved ones, a lantern with a candle inside, and a sign that's said "this is lit for our loved ones who cant be here today." Also, etsy has bouquet charms "dad/mum walk with me today" and a photo on the opposite side..i cant even look at those w/o sobbing though. .

I crochet so I'm actually making something for each of them to incorporate into my wedding. It really just all depends on how you want to express yourself. I love some of the ideas I've seen on here as well though. Best luck to you!

My boyfriend and I are just starting to plan our wedding. We're paying for this thing ourselves and we're on a limited budget, so we also have to plan all of this without hired help. I found your channel earlier this week and I couldn't be more grateful for all the info you've shared! Both of our families have never had a 'traditional' wedding with all the works, and neither of us have attended a traditional wedding, so this is a whole new territory for us. You've been an incredible help, and I look forward to using all this advice in my planning!

Yes thanks so much! I haven't even had a meltdown over signs yet so you've officially pretended it! And I love the one's you DIYd, it's saved somewhere in the diy section of my wedding board (it's the biggest section, no one's surprised). Do you guys do signs for driving directions in the states? They're super common in Scandinavia, usually a sign with the couple's names and an arrow pointing in towards the venue so that guests know they're close by. I love them cause during the summer months you'll see them all over the place while driving around and they just make me all happy and mushy 😍

We had no signs (because I was young and didn’t have anyone to help me and tell me I needed a welcome sign!), and guests were wandering around when they arrived and kept interrupting our bridal party photos because they didn’t know where to go! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Our #1 thing we would change about our wedding would be to hire a wedding planner or at least a day-of coordinator!!! No fun to have to answer everybody’s questions when you’re already stressed out of your mind and just want to get married!

We're doing a themed wedding so many of the signs we bought will go up in our home later. I figured that justified the cost. Or I made them from things I already had in my home. I've had so much fun doing them.

Thank you for this, super helpful. The desert bar opens at X time is a great idea. Didn’t know how to fix that. Love doing away with printed programs, I’d rather DIY a sign. I’ll be doing a welcome sign, order of events, menu, guest book (signing a deer or cow skull) seating chart, and reserved sign for first two rows. I’m probably forgetting some but that’s so far. Love your videos!

This is SO helpful for my wedding!! I am interested to see your thoughts on set up/ tear down. I'm stressed that I won't be able to be there morning of to set up because I'll obviously be getting ready. Who are good people to assign to do set up? / does everybody bounce once it's over and who ends up cleaning up and gathering all the decorations? My reception is in a barn for reference. I guess I can do as many walk-thrus as I need and then provide a detailed list for whoever is setting up of where everything goes? Thoughts appreciated- thank you!!

It is true: well placed signage can really be a stress reducer. No worries for guests about where? what? when? Just happy flow. but also true: brides--don't stress. We, your guests, love you and we will find you and have fun celebrating your marriage. :)

The one "must have" sign for our wedding has to be a "No Admittance Except On Party Business" sign from Lord Of The Rings. We're doing a loosely hobbit tavern tea party theme wedding, and anything in that Tolkien font is fantastic.

I've been binge watching 🙈) You've given us so much inspiration for our wedding, and I'm so thankful for it 🙌🏻 We've been engaged for 8 years (yup... 3 little babies have come along in that time and stolen our wedding funds) We are finally getting hitched December 28th 2020 (12 years to the day we started officially being a thing) Love from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💕

Can you make a video about what to include in a wedding website/Facebook group? Especially for the people coming out of town, or people from other countries, or people who are dear to you but you don’t see that often?
