I think that was the original purpose. And that's why the person only sells them once in a while, that way she can make 1 of each cake and cut it into slices for everyone in the waiting list to get their cake at the same time. Instead of selling 1 slice and throwing away the rest of the cake. This allows anyone interested in cakes from her will know exactly what every flavor tastes like. If she had to bake 6 cakes for every order the price would be ridiculous

When we pay for things, especially prepared food items from smaller businesses, a large reflection of price is labor because they usually don't have large scale factory grade food equipment to speed up the process. Also each of those cakes are different, therefore boom already 8 different cake batters she has to make, then they all have their own filling, 8 different fillings, now this baker is already up to 16 separate things they have to prepare for this box, and we haven't even counted the individual frostings yet for each cake lol. That alone is already so much work. You also don't know what ingredients she's using. Perhaps if it's unbleached more natural sugar, a stone ground flour, etc. Lastly, if the flavors she's offering are unique, that also ups the value. Most people can find a classic chocolate ganache cake from most bakerys that have a cake program and call it a day. The more unique product you offer, the more you can charge typically. If I want a cardomon passionfruit curd vanilla wedding cake, even sampling, of course its gonna cost more than a regular chocolate cake, theres more materials/ingredients going into it/more time and labor for said additional ingredients, therefore more expensive! Just some perspective into the administrative side of a bakery so you understand why this box perhaps priced the way it is ❤

is there really no such thing in America? Order an assortment of 10 different cheesecakes? Or order a cake that consists of 10 different pieces? I even have an 18-year-old nephew who makes such assorted dishes to order.... and he lives in the village :D It would cost $20 to order such a video from him. And it would be a very high price, I literally said the maximum he would take, given that the ingredients are almond flour, pecans, high-quality ingredients for the cream, fresh self-grown berries for compote and hand-made meringue. Where the hell is ganache, coolies, compote, creme, confit and kurd? There's only bread and cream, it's very insulting to pay such money for bread with jam.

My parents had pink champagne cupcakes at the wedding and oh my god i still think about them. they had an almond frosting and it was so incredibly delicious, it is my favorite dessert to this day.

Earl grey cake is quite popular in Korea its really good in my opinion. I love tea but I still was really not expecting to like the cake to be honest. Of course some places can mess it up but most places I’ve had it have had pretty good versions in my opinion.

I had a friend who got vanilla cake for her wedding not because she liked the flavor in particular but because if there were crumbs left on her teeth or dress it wouldn't be noticeable bc it's not colored. Hello there I just got married in June, we picked Whole Foods Berry Chantilly Cake ($42). It was the best decision. Not one piece of the cake was leftover. We only bought a small round to cut in front of everyone but you can order a sheet cake of it too for bigger weddings. Cut the small in front of everyone and have the sheet cake getting up for everyone.

I bake earl grey cake for tea almost every Saturday and my friends, family & I never get tired of it (I vary the extras tho sometimes it’s just som whipped cream other times som nice homemade orange compote & creme fraiche, the light creme and citrus flavor matches the cake soooo wonderful, u can also swap the earl grey for your favorite chai)

I think this is perfect for when you want to taste test cakes to decide which one you want for your wedding! You don’t even have to leave your house for cake testing. Lol
