I agree! Hopefully Ferrari AF Corse and Iron Dames Lamborghini bounce back stronger at Le Mans!

I’m glad the race didn’t finish under red flag but better communication should’ve been made that there were efforts to restart with a modified clock (not 10 minutes before the end of the race) Also the ruling for refueling under red flag should be reviewed just like the safety car ruling was to allow for more sporting fairness.

Jonah In my opinion the best driver of the race was undoubtedly Julien Andlauer who did a great job and took risks all the time overtaking other hypercars but also lapping the gt3s. Also the all Proton Competicion team deserves an honourable mention for their best race in the hypercar category in terms of performance but mainly for recovering after the red flag and finishing 6th, their best result so far .Also in gt3 I want to mention two teams iron dames and lynx and also united autosports as both lamborghini and also both mclaren have had great performance but for different circumstances of race along the weekend.(Case of the mclaren 95 that for having one kilo less of weight they disqualified it when it qualified second or also the lamborghini 60 of having to stop in the last lap) .They could not capitalize that potential and take it to a great final result of race.

I was at SPA that race was incredible, and we all LOVED that the race came back to business after red flag with an incredible sunset oh god, I LOVE WEC

I like when the customer team underdogs can beat the works teams with good strategy. It keeps things interesting. I didn't get a chance to see much of the race so your race review was very informative and gave me missed information I was wondering about.

As a Porsche Fan, its great to see them Win

The Spa 6+ Hours was a classic. Cadillac wrecking (again) at Spa, we were treated to a Julian Andlauer overtaking masterclass at Eau Rouge, a strategic disasterclass by Iron Lynx/Dames handing Manthey a 1-2, and Jota becoming the first privateer to win in Hypercar. Can't wait for Le Mans

Nothing makes me smile more than seeing Porsche 1-2 in hypercar and LMGT3

Thank you for this great review. I was there in Spa and fully agree with your thoughts. Would have been nice for the Iron Dames to take the win, because they showed such a good performance! Yes, Porsche got lucky to win P 1 and 2, but luck is part of the game in long distance racing, right…?!

I can’t you dont mention Nicklas Nielsen. He was definitely driver of the day. Driving the 499P from P19 -> P6 i 1h 33min. Even without help of any vsc, fcy, or safetycar. He even managed to do so on one set tyres.

I was gutted for the iron dames. They ran such a strong race

The Ferrari's had great pace this weekend, a bit of bad luck for them with the red flag, never mind the qualifying mistake. It's worth pointing out that teams were allowed to change tyres on the grid for the safety car restart. Looking forward to Le Mans!

This was the best automobile race across all disciplines since last year's Le Mans. It was better than the Grant Park 220 and better than the Petit Le Mans `23. Let's hope this year's Le Mans makes it a streak of great WEC races!

No, N24 is not a part of WEC so it will not be cover here. A shame, it (and Spa24) are really good races with a ton of teams/driver overlap.

did you mean pit stops after the race restarted from red flag were mandatory, because of those ran out of fuel were almost unable to race? (Sorry Im not an English native so I might not understood your mean sometimes)

Yes. Because some of the cars were very low on fuel, and they were not allowed to get fuel during the red flag, it was mandatory for them to pit for fuel when the race restarted, so they could continue racing. Hope this helps!

If we are counting the 83 Ferrari, I would say yes! That 83 car has the ability to win. If we are talking about a fully privateer Ferrari entering one day, that would depend on IF a privateer Ferrari would enter. If so, I think it could happen!

@@FormulaJonah I hope so. There should be at least higher chances with the 2 IMSA V.series-Rs coming over, those ones seem far more competitive (although maybe the rest of the IMSA grid is just less competitive?). Either way this should be one of the better Le Mans of the past 2 or so decades.

It seems like a bit of both. Experience is super important in racing, and now that the other teams have a bit more, they are capable of competing with Toyota.

Honestly, it was the best race so far, until the big boy arrives. I believe that Cadillac has a better chance of stopping participating in the WEC and moving only to the IMSA, category where they do much better. I also don't think that JOTA will take the direction of Cadillac in the WEC, the Porsche 963 (whether I like it or not) performs much better than the Cadillac. The truth is I wanted any team to win, except Porsche, but being JOTA it doesn't bother me that much. Not to be a hater, and Porsche deserves all the credit for creating such a good Hypercar. I'm afraid that Porsche will become the "Max Verstappen" of the WEC. In LMGT3 it broke my heart that Iron Dames won't take the win, and again, Porsche will win. I hope that at Le Mans things change for the better and the Hypercars are better balanced and finally, I hope, Iron Dames takes the victory.

Well if Cadillac leave WEC they also can't race in Le Mans anymore. That's probably the primary reason they stay in WEC.

@@user-swvn3ti2d I don't see it that way, if there were no BoP they said that Toyota would possibly beat everyone. But that is precisely why the BoP exists. Also, outside of that, in terms of reliability, the car improved a lot.

Hopefully Ferrari wins Le Mans again and makes the Championchip closer and more exciting

Hopefully someone else as Porsche (again Ferrari & Toyota or Peugeot, BMW, Cadillac, Lamborghini & Alpine) winning Le Mans, because a Porsche win can decide early the Championchip
