Meshing is crucial to achieving good simulation results and a good mesh should achieve accurate results efficiently. In some structures we may have a mixture of geometry that is best analysed by a combination of Solid, Shell and Beam meshes, so this Webcast aims to give you a complete overview of mixed mesh techniques.
Agenda: -
SolidWorks Simulation mixed mesh techniques utilising a combination of Solid, Shell and Beam meshing.

Bravo to you Andy! Your presentation gave me a clear understanding of how mixed meshing works, and the method by which contact sets are created. This is just what I needed. I spent many hours attempting to properly set up bonds between structural members (beams) and solids, but with intermittent success. I now see where I was in error. I have subscribed and I hope others can benefit from your presentation as well. Thanks!
Great explanation, didnt west my time, thank you very much
Thaks! Very good informations
This is very informative. Thank you
Great lesson. Very helpful.
Thanks! Great job!
Great video, lots of knowledge
Thanks!
I have a couple of questions about your explanation with shell model case (Video time - 41.40), 1. In your explanation you mentioned that with mixed meshing we must use incompatible mesh but with shell model option there is no mixed meshing as both the elements are converted to shell elements. 2. During explanation the model appeared to have incompatible mesh but when you were explaining Global bonded contact used in this simulation it had compatible mesh option turned on. In this case, how the model generated incompatible mesh?
Thanks
hello please where did you say we can download the files from. is there a link to where we can download them
Is there any possible way I can get the email of guy working on solidworks? I have a project for the university and I want to do a 3D model and the same one but shell... I did my 3D model and it works. For my shell I have a hard time to contact my stuff.
why u not provided subtitles
