Weaving the Silk Threads of History
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
At one point, Venice, Italy, was famous around the world for producing some of the finest textiles. Velvet-woven from thousands of fine silk threads-was especially desirable. In 1500, the clatter of 6,000 enormous looms echoed through the streets of the ancient canal-lined city. Today there is just one company left producing velvet in the traditional way; the Luigi Bevilacqua Company. The Bevilacqua family can trace its weaving lineage back to the 1400s, and remains entirely family owned and operated.

Looks like Rapunzel's hair
This is beautiful. Many of of the GBS videos are. Where can someone find production credits for these videos?
HOW IS IT ACTUALLY MADE THO
Great video :) shows how hard work still pays off :)
Fascinating!
Fantastic
Smooth business. #badpun
Where there is no traditions there is no soul, so is family and country and the human race. Great big story proves it again.
That is truly amazing and special. I would love to have one of their products. Maybe someday I can afford a throw pillow. It would never be thrown or touched by anyone but me.
Notice that the men sit and do the bragging without crediting the true artisans doing the actual work. So it has always been and so it will continue--at least in that culture. The end product is indeed beautiful.
😊😍
Beautiful! I hope he pays his artisans a good salary.

He do it for sure! Here in Italy luxury craftsmanship is payed very well because you need a lot of time to learn
Soothing to the human, maybe, not to me. I can't help but feel for the suffering the silkworms went through for us to get the silk strands.
