I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed & learned from your videos. At nearly 80 yrs of age, I've decided to learn to weave wall hangings & your tutorials are so clear & close up to the actual weaving you were doing it has given me confidence to jump right in & try it. I taught school for 31 years & it's very gratifying to find another teacher so dedicated to her work. Thanks again for the five videos on KZread.

I am pretty sure you put your shed stick in the same way as the cardboard. I have done it both ways and find it easier this way. Over-Under.

Hi! I'm glad to find this channel! I 'd like to know if wool is a good material for weaving with this technic. I'd like to make a blanket or maybe a shawl or scarf to wear as a warm garment.

Hello! Just got a Rigid Heddle Loom gifted to me and was wondering if it is possible to do things like this with it? I am a complete beginner with no knowledge on this topic and have been watching a bunch of videos. Would like to create hanging wall tapestries with different textures and sizes of thread and just wanted to know if I could achieve this with the Rigid Heddle Loom. Thank you so much! And great video as well, the finished product is so beautiful!

Thank you so much for this. I can't wait to start. I made my loom, but I put the nails the other way round (more on the inner row rather than the outer) will this matter in the end?

You probably won’t reply but what if your loom has wool at the front and back. Do you still need to leave space at the bottom? Because when you take the weaving off, you’ll have to cut the wool at the back to get it off. So can’t you use that wool to tie it up?

it's actually opposite. if you start your cardboard over then under, your dowel needs to start under over. It creates a cross at the cardboard and will prevent your weaving from slipping down over the cardboard and cause problems later on. hope that helps.

Two dowels with the alternating threads attached to them by string would have made a much faster weave.
