Weave Krokbragd on a Rigid Heddle (Tidy Edges!)
This video shows a simple way to weave krokbragd on a rigid heddle loom with just a pickup stick. I also demonstrate a technique for achieving neat edges in Krokbragd without floating selvedges, which can also be used on a floor loom (or any other kind of loom).
Note: The wrapping method takes the pattern edge-to-edge for a very pretty front face of the fabric, but it is not reversible.

QUICK VERSION
Shed 1: Heddle UP, over-under with pickup stick
Shed 2: Heddle DOWN
Shed 3: Heddle UP, under-over with pickup stick
ABC or ABB color blocks:
Start every Shed 1 by wrapping the weft twice over the selvedge thread. No wrapping for weft picks in Shed 2 or 3.
AAB or ABA color blocks:
No wrapping. Just make sure that the very first pick of the block in Shed 1 goes all the way around the selvedge thread.

Great to find details of heddle and warp and weft. I’ve struggled but feel happier to have another go now
Aap bahot acha acha sempal banate hii 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I've done Krokbragd on a Rigid Heddle - larger, wider pieces using the "Crazy Shot" book. Now I've got a 10" Sampleit loom and can use this video for Mug Rugs. BUT I'm also going to try a second reed since the Sampleit has the slots for a 2nd reed. You should do that as a video!
Thank you so much, this is an excellent video and just what I needed to help with my edges
They say you're never too old to learn something new. I am an experienced weaver, and I've always had issues with the selvedges when doing krokbragd. Now I see why! I have been wrapping the cut ends around the selvedges regardless of where they ended in the pattern. Thank you for this simple and clear explanation/demonstration.
Thank you so much. You explain and show the technique very well for this visual learner.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am a beginner, except for plain weave, but you make it so understandable! I love the idea of creating different sheds with the pickup stick. AND to keep the selvedges nice. Wow!
Thank you for this detailed instruction. I've been wanting to try it and found another video a few months back that made it seem a bit more complicated. You've gone over all the tricks and now I feel more confident to attempt it. Again Thank You!
Magic!
Mil gracias que bien explicado está me encanta esta técnica saludos desde México 🇲🇽

Excelente 💪💪‼️ Gracias 👌👌
Very clear instructions, thank you! I have a question, can I follow your pick up stick directions except do it behind the heddle and use a heddle rod (to avoid having to pick up each time)? Will that work out?
Great detailed video. Are you using wool for both warp and weft.?
If you want to have it end the way it started, you can work the sequence backwards the same amount of times as you wove it forwards, right?
Bonjour
The music is so unnecessary.....couldn't watch because of it. Boo
