I would have preferred using a dull gray paint to make it less shiny but the store only had gloss.

You can always go bakc and use a flat clear coat to fix that.

@@LarryLeeMoniz Yes, I'm just worried if the flat coat will react to the flat coat that's currently on it. But I'm actually pleased with how it turned out.

This helped me weather a friend's case immensely. I did try a tiny bit of brown wash, and it looked very much like iron rust. I only used a little, as I felt this would be made of a mostly rust resistant alloy. However, that little bit made it really look like metal. I was also given permission to use a file to create nicks and scratches on the corners and faces. The result was really cool.

Fantastic look! Looks exactly like it came from one of the movies!

Thank you! I appreciate that. Weathering always makes thinks look so much more realistic no matter what it's made of.
