My theory for the larger hilt is because Jaro Tapal was a pretty big dude and Lasat were probably quite a bit stronger than humans. Like if I think about it, the smaller hilt feels good for us as humans, but I feel like the Disney one is heavier and more in scale to be in line with Jaro Tapal's size?

Probably not. If that’s the case then you have to question why the Galaxy’s Edge Ezra saber is so chunky given Ezra’s a normal-sized human.

As much as this theory makes sense, it's complete bullshit in the sense that Disney is absolutely incapable of manufacturing accurately scaled merchandise. This is a problem especially with lightsabers that goes back decades, and no amount of lore explanations will be able to justify it.

I agree with this. But unfortunately also the truth is that galaxy’s edge sabers are larger than their accurate sizes, and that history of criticism falls in line. I will say this, I prefer this to cal’s 2 sided saber, because that one is insanely huge.

As a Scotsman, I rarely ever go to Disney World since it costs an arm & a leg to, yet ever since Galaxy’s Edge debuted I always wanted a legacy saber. Now, being able to get a fairly high-quality saber(belonging to my favourite Jedi) at an affordable price online is honestly a miracle. Just ordered mine a few hours ago after checking reviews for a good while. For that alone, I’m beyond glad that we’ve gotten a saber with the whole kit ‘n kaboodle, especially the blade and the colour changing switch. Also, thank you for this review mate, your coverage of this’ honestly the main thing that sold me on it!

I went to the park and ended up picking this up just two weeks ago. I absolutely love it!!!

I bought it as soon as I realized it's like the old Jedi Fallen Order Version. The key to a solid workout is duel-wielding both Legacy Sabers or them together as a staff.

I really want this… but the fact that it’s not in a collectible box really makes me hesitate. That’s why I haven’t bought Yoda’s yet. The collectible box is one of the main reasons I buy the Legacy sabers, I love displaying them in the boxes.

I am if the same mind. I waited for the Ep3 Kenobi hilt and bought the limited edition set with Anakin's too in the end. Unfortunately tho I believe Yoda's will never release in plastic crate form for the simple reason that the blade is unique to that saber and cannot be purchased separately. Currently saving up for Qui Gon's and then il have to think really hard about the Yoda one since it'll be the only one in a huge cardboard box.

Finding the force is the one place I go before I get a lightsaber so I know what I am getting Thank you good Chanel 🙏

Goo gone is good for removing the excess residue. For peeling them off more smoothly I recommend a hair dryer or a heat gun.

I bought this last week at the park. After 10 minutes of walking with it. Since they won't fit in lockers I had to take it back to my car. It's pretty hefty. All sabers were 186. I was going to get the dark Saber or mace windu but the salesperson kept telling me to get this! Lol

Hey Drew, that is a great question. I get it all the time. And that is exactly what Artsabers products are good for. They are generally going to save you hundreds of dollars over the super pricey higher end Sabers. They also offer RGB based lit versions of all of your favorite characters Sabers if you and your buddies really want to duel a bit harder. Although I still say if you guys take it easy and focus on form, the poly carbonate neopixel blades should work fine.

I just got one of these last week at the park. The hilt is pretty heavy.

I prefer Disney Lightsabers to display because they’re so big, they look amazing on a wall and at a good price point, but to swing around, neopixels are way better and more practical to have on a beltclip

That's why the best is to buy disney sabers and convert them to neopixel, some of them are fairly easy to do if you know how to solder.

FYI, I just bought one at Disneyland for 30% off (around $160). They had a bunch of legacy sabers on sale which was better than my pass holder discount.

What would be great is to be able to buy an upgraded core of Savi's workshop lightsaber.

I think I’ll wait for the thinner Ahsoka set since I have the Legacy Fallen Order one.

Hey man, that’s a great question. Personally, I like the smaller box because it takes up less storage space in my office. But if you’re giving it to someone as a gift who doesn’t have a blade or a belt clip than the box that is probably the way to go.

I test it on the finish first in an unnoticeable location

So major difference that I just checked. I have the version from limited run games and that one dies not have the button to change colors. It is just always blue.

I am one of those who bought the Limited Run bundle and kind of regret it. I thought it would be the only way of getting the blade. It was really underhanded of Limited Run and Disney to not announce this together so people could decide what to get.

Personally, I’ve always want to get a warranty on larger purchases, which is one of the reasons why I prefer to work with Artsabers. They have a one year warranty, ensuring you that your Saber will be in good working condition without any defects from the manufacture.

Lol so in answer to your question yes and yes lol I think Disney is trying to sell us more stuff that we already own and is also trying to price package it for people that don’t go to the park… if you think that’s bad, just wait till they release all of the legacy blades and hilts in the new sizes. Imagine all of the big fat light sabers that we all bought over the last few years now made to scale with their cinematic cousins. And of course we’re going to run out there and try to buy it…. At the end of the day, if they are able to pull off a “to scale “version and have a semi-to like neo, pixel brightness with color, changing ability and eventually additional sound fonts, for the same price point, or near it it will still be one of the best priced savers on the market…. I do wish they would take a page from these other companies and make the activation buttons. True to what they should be versus some weird button on the side. Either way I digress. Good point…. Still it doesn’t make it any less sinister lol it’s all good. I’m just pissed because when you start looking back at all of the sabers I have collected I can probably buy a Disney annual pass with that lol. I love the reviews.
