I love the characters you all are leaning into. Just the simple 'wait, you were testing while I was playing?' was a grand way to start my Friday. I laughed so hard at the 'I'll be right there in one... Five minutes... After an hour... Next week...' There's so often I feel like that when I'm asked to do something at work and slowly realize it's lower priority than all my other work...

As cool as it is, one of the problems with 'fire swords' is that by heating up the blade you can ruin the heat treatment. The process that the blacksmiths went through to make sure your edge is hard would be ruined. I would hope they address that issue if they do a video on it.

Yeah fire sword would be really nice to see. It's so common to see in fantasy. Hell in Lord of the rings movies Witch King did it to just flex.

The only issue I have with the shield is it requires your enemy to hit the area you want them to. And while I wouldn’t know exactly what would happen, I would go, “Wait a minute. Something’s up with that balloon…”

A similar idea to this is to look at "makeshift" weapons you see in the various survival games. Like a hammer made from a rock and a stick, arrows made from branches and grass ropes, stuff like that

Definitely do fire swords. No question.

You should make a reaction video to MTG equipment cards, specifically the Mirran Swords cycle (Sword of Feast and Famine, Sword of Light and Shadow, etc.). And I know that all of those swords have a split blade, which I think is because it has a separate enchantment on either side of the blade, so let's just pretend the two blades are joined in the middle.

This episode was so much fun to watch!

It is great fun to see how much fun you guys are having with it. Watching you fighting with the firesword brought out the innerchild in me.

I absolutely love this video! The Legend of Zelda is one of my favorite video game series of all time. Breath of the Wild is one of the best games ever made. I'm so very excited for Tears of the Kingdom! It's very cool seeing you guys test this kind of stuff out! Though the skit was hilarious, I must say I miss Shad being directly involved.

I don't think thick steel like that would be particularly damaged by a light flame, the fuel would probably run out before it would get damaged.

@@Otto_Von_Itter9000 I was thinking more damage to the temper of the edge. It is so thin there it could be heated enough to lose its temper and then the ability to hold that edge. Granted the heat probably would be above the steel itself and never really penetrate the metal. That is why it would be great to test!

As for the rock on a stick, I immediately think of a gada mace. Nowadays, it's used for strength training, but, reportedly, it had been intended as an actual weapon in the past and, at least the surviving training methods, move pretty fast in a continuous motion similar to flow drills.

please do a full on fire sword video. not only does it look sick but i’d love to see the actual benefits and drawbacks of fighting with one besides intimidation factor. might also be worth looking into a flaming spear since it’s held so much further from the body it might be more feasible

You need to test: 1) Electric Swords - similar to how Highlander: The TV series used car battery leads hooked up to the metal parts of the sword to create large sparks when the blades contacted each other 2) Vibro Swords - Get a Ultra-Sonic Knife and test how much better it's cutting capacity is compared to a normal knife 3) Thermal Blades - Hot Sword that has a heating element attached to the length of the blade to heat up the blade and test it's slicing capability

Oh 100% fire sword breakdown would an AWESOME video. I thought it was kind of a "well it'll look flashy" but the moment the realization set in that you can't actually get too close to your opponent with your crossguard, I thought "OH. There's actually credence here, hang on a minute."

Absoulty loved the set ups for this video and the tests...looking forward to seeing the more dedicated fire sword test. Interestingly the reaction to the burst and the fire sword are very simular it is the unkown factor of just how bad the damage is that would be sustained that makes them more effective. The balloon releasing something adds a bit of shock value. But i wonder if you were wearing the right protective clothing would it have caused the the same kind of fear responses. I think it would still be there but less so.

I love the levity and ridiculous things these guys get up to. the amount of feel good that shad and his crew bring are just a great pick me up. keep it up guys loyal fan here and I cant wait to see more.
