The sword in the stone thing is interesting actually, its a historical reference back to the bronze age, when you would cast tools and weapons in clay moulds that had to be broken apart to "draw the sword from the stone". By the time the stories of King Arthur were being written, the history of the bronze age had been forgotten and faded into myth and legend, including myths about swords trapped in stones, and those stories were incorporated into the King Arthur legend.

Remember, decibels are a logarithmic scale like earthquake magnitude (I.e. an increase of 10 dB is equivalent to being 10 times louder), not a linear scale like most other quantities. So 102 dB is approx 1% as loud as 120 dB, which is a significant reduction in volume

31:41 - The Roman's used a type of javelin called a pilum, and it was an extremely effective weapon. The diffrence between the two is that the pulim had a feature that, when hitting a target, allowed it to break on impact. If it hit correctly into an enemies shield, it would take some time to dig it out (which might be fine to do, if you weren't in the middle of a battle). Even if it missed, it wouldn't be usable to the enemy, it'd just be a useless broken stick. A sword *can* be used to bludgeon someone, believe it or not. Its called "half-swording" - and if I remember right, Skallagrim made a video on it, if you want to look it up. Chavezz might want to use a war-hammer - they were used bash a shield or helm; or to pierce armor and (with enough force applied) easily kill an armored knight. However, in medieval times, this wasn't something that you'd *want* to do. Knights were valuable, and could be ransomed for a stupid amount of cash - and god-forbid if you're a peasant who just killed a knight. A peasant would carry a dagger - and if you want a few giggles - look up what a bollock dagger is. Hope you two have a good day/evening!

Back then the transport trucks had no fancy seat modules so people basically had to sit on each other laps for safety... I remember the instructor saying "No worries boys, if you been with a woman you know what to do and if not, this will be good practice." Also when it came to training camps it was often joked that do not worry if you have to spoon a little during those cold wintery nights... It is not gay, just a manly friendship, two brothers looking after each others wellbeing. Oh! Also there was a study once that during the wartime it was quite commen men helped each other to relieve but it was not that much spoken as it was considered as a big taboo... However from the diaries and memoirs they have concluded things like that did happen and was more common than people liked to admit.

On November 28, 2008, Burress suffered an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound to his right thigh at the nightclub LQ on Lexington Avenue in New York City when his Glock pistol in the pocket of his black-colored jeans began sliding down his leg; apparently in reaching for his gun, he inadvertently pressed the trigger, causing the gun to fire. The Manhattan District Attorney stated Burress was wearing jeans. The injury was not life-threatening and Burress was released from an area hospital the next afternoon. Two days later, Burress turned himself in to police to face charges of criminal possession of a handgun. It was later discovered that New York City police learned about the incident only after seeing it on television and were not called by NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital as required by law. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg called the hospital actions an "outrage" and stated that they are a "chargeable offense". Bloomberg also urged that Burress be prosecuted to the fullest extent, saying that any punishment short of the minimum 3½ years for unlawful carrying of a handgun would be "a mockery of the law." Burress had an expired concealed carry license from Florida, but no New York license.

Javelins were devastating, but were used by lines of "skirmishers". Very light armored, fast moving combatants who could run up, cause casualties and potentially serious damage, easily run away, and never come within the swing of a single sword. However, if they're paper, and infantry are rock, then cavalry was scissors. It's shocking how generally accurate that comparison is.

Look up pillums - Romans hard coad threw their spears. They had one badass spear that they used for everything. It even had a big metal wieght and 4 feet of metal stalf just to make sure that no one could ever chop the shaft near the tip. Just an all purpouse pointy stick.

Wood used for spears is supposed to be quite sturdy and be somewhat resistant to sword strikes. You could also just get a metal only spear but it would be heavy.

for the old weapons It would be a good old war hammer. nice sharp point on the top, pretty heavy and a nice crow hook on the back and a nice flat blunt hammer side. war hammers were amazing weapons its like a spear with the spike on top of it. its heavy and easy to cave in armor. the crow hook for yanking people off horses. its a pretty round about weapon. some are super long and some have much heavier heads. like a nice balanced war hammer is pretty top tier weapon. its not really a fast weapon but its hard to block. the different ways to use it is really nice.

5:07 Ay, I got the same situation! My neighbour has 2 cats but tbh she doesn't take care of them, she used to give them a bowl of food but she's stopped, can't let them starve so we're feeding them. They've gotten so used to us that they come inside the house and just chill, our garden is pretty much their home now. Aren't our cats but they pretty much are now. And they don't even shit in our yard, don't know where they go but there is a forest nearby so prob there.
