🗣️BIG FACTS!! Having a bookkeeper and an accountant is WAY cheaper than the cost of not having them. With no accountant there’s no SBA loans, no bank funding, no PPP, etc. Having an accountant saved us especially for getting funding during the pandemic. Thanks for this AO!!

Great show! That last nugget is bomb! My son said long ago, "we will start the businesses we heavily pay others for." It works!!!

I have been going to the CPA since I got my first W2 and BABY I did my own this year and things will be changing in the savings department.

I almost started shouting for you paying the IRS a 6 fig check, it just reminds you how blessed you are to even pay that amount.

I was a business owner for thirty years and I never paid taxes or owed. Doing due diligence and reading books on strategy is key. Filing taxes is about strategy. If you don't look at options and think you owe the IRS you are robbing yourself. If you file quarterly at the beginning it will teach you how to document and keep records. Good start.

It's where the nursing of the business financials take place, which is where the health of the business begins and stays, not just at tax or audit time. This is so good, after getting into some tax debt, with a so called tax professional ( pop up biz supporting a friend) got me caught up years later. I now have an EA, who went over the last 7 years of what got me into trouble from the person (who is no longer in biz messed me up with the IRS). Katrina is on point and guess what it cost but it works and you will be covered and prepared for the future business and personal aspect when filing your taxes. The best investment I ever made. Get and EA.......YALL!!!

Tracking finances is important, especially for insurance and to do business with certain companies. Being in good standing with your taxes is also important for certain government certs and government contracting opportunities for your business.

You should still purchase and track. The first few years of starting a business it's not uncommon to not make a profit. As long as you are still in the pursuit of profit you can still file and more than likely get a refund (of course everyone's situation is different so it all depends on your individual situation.)
