Weak and Skinny Seal Gets Rescued
This seal was too weak to make it to the other seal groups. If it wasn’t for the tour guide, we would not have known there was a seal in trouble that needs saving. Therefore, the tour guide saved this seal's life. It’s always good to see our message spreading, making an impact, and encouraging others to start caring and making a difference.

It's always sad when a seal comes back to the beach alone to breathe her last. I'm grateful to the tour guide who called demanding assistance. I'm also thankful that when those calls come in, OCN springs into action with no hesitation. Thank you so much, I appreciate your dedication and compassion!🦭♻️❤️
Thank goodness you guys were called out to assist this seal and were able to save her. It is so heartbreaking to know she'd given up and was waiting to die. Thank you to the Tour Guide for alerting OCN. Thank you Tony, Denzil and Jason for saving this lonely seal. 🇦🇺

That poor little mama was all by herself. I hope she finds her group. 🧜🏽♀💜🦭
I really hope she survives. I've never seen a rescued seal that had to be forced to go back to the ocean.
PLEASE LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT AND SHARE, DONATE IF YOU CAN, ANY AMOUNT HOWEVER SMALL HELPS THIS CHARITY BUY SAFETY GEAR TO KEEP THEM SAFE DURING RESCUES. THESE ARE WILD ANIMALS AND A BITE CAN BE FATAL, SO PLEASE HELP IN ANY WAY YOU CAN.
I always worry a little bit more about the seals that have lost so much weight and are so skinny that, when OCN removes the line, they have no problem zipping it back up again. Thanks, OCN team, for another life saved ... and Tony's encouraging comments 💙
Imagine this poor creature: starving & suffocating at the same time. 😢
Poor girl! She might be too weak to fish, but she had enough spirit to fight you. I hope she makes it.
I always wish it would be possible to bring some fish along for cases like this, to just give them some energy after their release before they have to go out and hunt for themselves

I too wish OCN had a few fish on hand for these really skinny sad cases. I would even add some vitamins to give them a boost. My heart breaks to see some seals falling down as they head to the water. I love the OCN crew for the love and care they give these amazing seals and other ocean life.
Thank you to the tour guide for calling OCN in to help and to OCN for going out to her. I only hope it was not too late.
I'm SO glad the tour guides know, and CARE enough to call OCN about entangled and wounded seals. I'm also SO glad the team removed the line (with Tony making sure she got to the water) so she can start to heal. Thanks, Tony, Jason and Denzil ❤
Hello everyone, good mood and kindness! How much pain and grief and hunger this seal girl has endured. I feel sorry for the innocent animals who suffer from human laziness or evil intent. It's great that she was lucky enough to meet the rescue team. I hope she has enough strength to get food for herself. Today is January 13, 2024. This amazing channel has 1.78 million subscribers. Subscribe if you haven't already. This develops the channel and means more seals like this girl will be saved.

Oh that poor girl all alone. My heart breaks for her that she is too weak to rush to the sea like the usual patients do. But I had to smile just a little when Tony gave her swimming directions and distance to the nearest colony. Well done gentlemen 🦭🌊💙
Cheers to the tour guide for caring enough to get you guys. Wasn't a hard rescue, but one of hope that she will ride the waves to healing and her family.
Poor girl, hopefully she got some food and some energy so she can heal.
The seal was so weak and skinny, but now she has another chance, thanks to OCN. The salt water will heal her and she will be able to gain weight and thrive. Excellent job!👏
Poor seal! Thank you, team OCN. Every seal is worth helping.
It's so sad that a thin piece of line about killed a beautiful Momma. Poor thing had given up all hope of living until OCN came to save her. May she heal, find her Colony, and feed to get her strength back! 🙏
Oh, how I hope she made it. Thank you, OCN, for your dedication to these beautiful creatures. ❤

We are unfortunately not solving the problem, but only treating the symptoms of the plastic crisis with our rescues. The goal of these videos is to show the consequences of this pollution and create a change to tackle its roots - namely our addiction to single-use plastics, the lack of law enforcement at sea, and the shortcomings of the recycling industry.

@@OceanConservationNamibia I'm thankful to see several charities that are finding solutions to plastic entering the ocean by building barriers that collect the garbage in the rivers. They are also trying to educate communities to have real solutions to waste disposal rather than just throwing it in the local rivers. One charity, Sungai Watch, which works in Bali and East Java is scanning each piece of plastic and then working to show the producers of that plastic where the waste ends up. Another, the Ocean Cleanup, is working to clean up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch as well as working on different models of barriers and collection systems to catch garbage in rivers before it reaches the ocean. They work in the US, Guatemala and Jamaica and are expanding their operations to other countries. There are groups cleaning up beaches and waterways in India and Bangladesh as well as Indonesia. Here, in Australia, we have had traps on most of our stormwater drains for many years to stop garbage from entering our rivers and the ocean. It stops a lit but not all. We also have an annual day called Clean Up Australia Day where people go to particular locations to clean out rubbish from around waterways. All these are just small steps towards less plastic in the ocean but they don't go far enough! I'm really happy to have come across your videos because it shows just a small part of what happens to marine life as the result of our negligence. I love seeing each seal rescued so lovingly by all of you! And I must say it's a joy to see Jason come on board and get stuck into learning how to rescue these precious seals! Did you know that an Australian Fur Seal regularly sunbathes on the northern set of VIP steps at the Sydney Opera House? Apparently he is named Benny after the name of the point on which the Opera House sits - Bennelong Point.
So sad to see that she looks so weak 😢 Wish she can heal rapidly and live the life that she is supposed to 🙏🏻
I pray she finds her group and heals quickly. This one made me tear up...
This one made me cry. I pray she has the strength to find her colony. This is SO WRONG that they have to contend with this cruelty. Blessings to you for giving her a chance😢😢💔
The seal came over and asked for help...they know the team very well and help is here. Awesome.
Poor seal. Thanks to the tour guide for his timely call and OCN for saving her life. I hope that she makes it.
I am literally crying for her. She used the last of her strength to fight for her life. You are all so beautiful. 🥹💖
Thank you to all the angels who participated in saving the life of this cute seal.God bless you ❤❤❤❤

That was heartbreaking, thank you to the guide for phoning and asking for help, Tony and Denzil as usual professional and quick rescue. It was so sad to think she came on to that huge beach to die all alone. PLEASE don’t throw your rubbish in the sea, it is horrendous what it does to these beautiful animals, that is their domain not yours.
I hope she's going to make it. That can only come from her own will to survive now. You guys did your best, and gave her that chance. 👍

We see healthy recaptures every single day, proof that seawater acts as a very efficient wound cleaner and that Cape fur seals are extremely resilient animals. Therefore, it helps to remember that an entanglement will eventually kill them, but if it is removed, then their recovery is quite likely.
You are heros 🥺❤️🩹

It broke my heart to see her at the beach waiting to die 😢 Thank you beautiful guys for saving her. ❤
❤❤❤❤❤
She wasn't very well at all, the poor pup was so weak and tired, let's hope she can soon recover, so sad to watch. Thankyou OCN. 🤗💝🏴
I hope the guide "asked" and didn't "demand"; no one loves these seals more than Team OCN. I was so glad you pushed her to go in, Tony, I was right there with you, urging her into the water. I pray she recovers, thank you so much for rushing to save her.
These friends told him, good people are on the beach, go and get rid of the thing that is strangling you... He came to you but he didn't know how to express himself... He didn't want to leave, see you are good people...
So sad that she has given up! Praying she found the colony and got the sustenance she needed to survive. Thank team OCN for removing her entanglement and encouraging her to try to live. ❤😢
Poor seal! Now that’s she’s free I hope she makes a full recovery!🏴
Thank you❤
💔All alone, without protection of the herd... This female was so weak, it seemed she had 'already' given up. Thumbs-up for the tourist guide, who reached out to OCN! Thanks Tony, Denzil and Jason, for driving up there to help this seal!❤️🦭
Hope she did as you asked Antoine, poor baby. Thanks for being their guys, another save.
Poor poor lady seal 😢😢 really felt for her from start to finish. All alone then surrounded by men that she did'nt know were there to help. And her wound😫poor angel. The way she looked back while Antoine was sending her on her way. God speed your healing and getting fat! Thanks to all involved in her rescue ♡
So very very sad, It makes my heart ache. That poor creature and the pain it has endured. A simple but sincere thank you to this wonderful team.
That’s so sad to see her all alone. 😢 Thanks guys! ❤

Breaks my 💔 to think about all the ones you don't find.. Thank God OCN for your tireless rescue work.. ❤❤❤❤
Unspoken hero’s. Grateful for those who save and the animals they save.
Ive watched these videos for at least 2 years now. This is the weakest seal I've ever seen She was so slow going back to the water I hope it gets better & amazing communication with the tour guide & OCN
Больно смотреть на неё.. я верю, что ей хватит сил наловить рыбы, что море залечит рану, что всё станет хорошо...
Thank you VERY MUCH OCN team for helping poor seals !!!
Hard to see when they're at or near their last push to survive these horrible human-made death traps. I hope she can muster the burst of energy she needs to survive. Thanks OCN for giving her the chance. 🥰
Надеюсь, что Вы будете вознаграждены ее возвращением к своим друзьям! Она еще достаточно сильная, что бы доплыть до своих.
So windy, glad the tour guides help you in your work.

Thanks to everyone involved, and most esp. to the "demanding" tour guide who did the absolute right thing. Despite being rescued, it doesn't look good for the seal but I am hopeful. 🙏
Brought me to tears how she looked at you guys...I know she was saying, " Thank You" for saving my life...
Very happy the tour guide cared enough to call OCN. I’m hoping the seal finds her group.Thank you for helping her on the road to recovery.❤️🩹🦭🌊🫶🏻
