Devs need to optimize their games in general. It'd be nice not to HAVE to rely on FSR to optimize the game for them It's becoming very difficult to run games on their lowest settings (pixelated resolution low) and are more graphically intense than previous games at their maximum quality My laptop was able to play Witcher 3 at maximum settings on my Ryzen 5 iGPU, meanwhile I can't even run Destiny 2 or No Man's Sky at their lowest settings (240p, extremely pixelated quality). I just couldn't maintain a stable frame rate at all. Game optimization is errything, and that's the downside to gaming on a non-high end PC :c

The problem with Chiaki, is you can't play off your home network without messing with your devices network (port forwarding etc.) but with the Portal you can PS remote play from anywhere

Why did you reupload? Is anything different?

I think the steam deck needed to exist. Before it, PC specs were all "okay we load the game up with as much as possible and then optimize it so it works on weaker hardware" without any set target specs. Now the steam deck exists and anyone wanting to make their game open for every pc stronger than a SD has a good idea for what the minimum specs could be on the pc port/version of said game. This should ensure that , bc games built for the deck can run on anything better 🤙

I'm planning on buying a steam deck, until now I've been only a handheld and console gamer. I feel that it makes PC gaming accessible. And you can't beat the prices of the actual games. Humble bundle and fanatical make it even easier. There are games I play that I've been wanting to try modding for years and I think I'll give it a shot.

I'm playing Borderlands 2 on my OLED Deck. I started a new game and am having a blast. It runs amazingly on the deck and gets great battery life.

im playing "save up cuz ur poor but still want an oled." its a grind for sure.

Games 360 and PS3 kinda era run the best on Steam deck and they still look super amazing, i finished Tom Raider and Mad Max and i get them so cheap and worth my time playing where ever i want

Lies of P has been fantastic on the Steam Deck recently for me. It has given me the itch to play Sekiro as well. Will probably play that after.

I always suck at dark souls game it's infuriating and leads me to drop them but I absolutely love elden ring my favorite game of all time is lies of p more like dark souls.

Lies of P looks so boring, same reason I completely ignored all the other Dark Souls games until Elden Ring. Walking through a linear map just to kill some boring enemies and end up at an eventual large boss of some sort thats just there for no reason is awful.

For me the steam deck oled wins by default because WiFi 6E. I get a significantly smoother streaming experience with 6E vs Wi-Fi 5 on the portal, and it’s not even close

I tried to get chiaki4deck running on my oled last night... it will not display in color. Black and white only

I was super excited for gta5 on pc and played it only for 10h. Not going to fall for the same hype again.

By the time GTA6 comes to PC, the Steamdeck 2 will probably be out

rockstar want to sell the same game over and over again with small graphic improvments, that is why they delayed the pc version

The Fallout series takes part at the HEART of the NCR yet has NO NCR. The NCR annihilates the Brotherhood wherever they go, and yet they're patrolling in the open of their territory!?

When Destiny 2 can be played on Steamdeck then I'll consider it :P

For GTA6 I'll go into the console world with a PS5 Pro. PC world has modders that ruin online. They get unlimited orbital canons, god mode, and other glitches that ruin a lobby. I play GTA5 Invite-Only sessions.

"They are developping the game on pc, they gonna have the pc version version ready for launchn and they will just be sitting on it for a year" Doesn't work that way. At all. It mostly depends on the tools they use, but it always requires additionnal work to make sure it works on anybody"s windows pc. In the case of Rockstar always releasing the PC versions later than on consoles, one could say that they are just double dipping and its sole reason is to make more money through this marketing strategy. While this could be part of the reason they do that, I don't think it is that malicious. See, it's true that a lot of multiplatform games release at the same time on all main platforms. But half the time this happens, the pc version is a wreck (I'm not even talking about CP2077, since it was a wreck everywhere). And when it's not, would you actually consider these games to on the same level of complexity than those of Rockstar's ? Whatever we are talking about GTA V or RDR2, these are one of the most massive games ever made, not only in technology or in complexity, but also on their level of world detail. Even if we consider the other "biggest" games, like the Assassin's Creeds, which often release in a questionnable state, Rockstar games are on a whole other level. My guess is that, feature wise, GTA VI is done. Now, they need a least a whole year to polish it, to debug it and optimise it. Now that it's true that multiple releases is a good marketing strategy, they can't afford to not give enough care to such a colossal work. Considering how profitable GTA 5 has been on PC over the years, they certainly wouldn't want to rush its follow up's release considering it has the potential to be the most profitable piece of art (not just video game) ever made.

Rockstar will 100% put GTA VI on PC. Just like RDR2 & GTA V, it will come to PC a year or two after consoles. The PC version of their games is typically also the "Definitive Edition", partly because the PC is just a more capable platform, but also because they do put a lot of effort in their PC games. It's typically worth the wait.

Ok, so if this game is coming to consoles in 2025. And if we assume Rockstar history will repeat itself it'll come to pc in 2026/27. I'll be playing it on my Steam Deck 2🤞

New Vegas is the best fallout game

So the only pro of a Playstation portable is playing exclusives. And I'm being generous when I say "playing" when referring to that input lag mess. 200$? Nah I'm good. A little more and I can buy a switch or a steam deck

To save you some time there is no plan on having GTA 6 on PC. Take this for what you will.

Fallout 4 Assault Rifle sucks. It looks jank and isn't an assault rifle. The one on the TV show looks real damn good because it's built more like a heavy machine gun in the hands of someone with power armor on.

The assault rifle is literally design to fit in the hands of power armor wearing person.... make no sense every assault rifle is like that. It should be it own unique assault rifle happen to be bigger

Just returned my steam deck oled and kept the portal . I have great internet and I will rather play games on 8 inch screen 1080 60p rather than paying 5 times and play at 30 . Also chiaki is maybe 50 percent what portal offers . Bigger screen and adaptive triggers are gold

That doesn't make any sense. The Steam deck can stream the same games....also at 60. Not at 1080p I guess, and at 7.4 instead of 8 inches.
