Israel has the right to defend herself. If Israel did not use massive force, the suicide bombings would have continued and dealt huge blows on Israel. Many nations are dwelling on lands acquired through wars and the previous occupants are not fighting to reclaim their lands e.g. the natives of the American soil. Israel has conquered this land. The earlier the Palestinians accept their fate the better for them. Besides, Jews occupied this same land centuries before the Arabs, they only returned to their ancestral land, conquered the Arab occupiers and settled down. The Palestinians migrated there from neighbouring Arab nations and can very well return to those Arab nations. Israel, on the other hand, has no where else to go. They have to stay and defend themselves. The pride of the Arabs will not let them see reasons.

I felt quite emotional listening to him speak. I honestly don’t know how a civilised human being cannot stand behind Israel. I would think the choice to support good over evil would win every time, I have never been so mistaken. What is happening around the world is a dark stain on humanity and every day I am shocked once again by the evil and ignorance that surrounds us.

Dear Israelis. Whilst our government recalled the Israeli ambassador, and whilst they daily protest against you, I, and the majority of the South African population stand in solidarity with Israel. Hamas, is a clearly by their actions, a terrorist organisation and a barbaric one at that. I pray daily for all the Israeli populace, whatever their religious affiliation.
