Wonderful video! The great thing about the new Defender is that it is a luxurious every day and road trip driver, but it can still tackle extreme offroading. Not many vehicles can make that claim. Perhaps the Tough T?

I think that mud puddle right before the rocks was the problem. Even jeeps with front and rear locked and all four wheels on rock couldn’t get any traction. “Not enough light bars”. Lmao. Love the vids. Keep em coming. You should mod a few Defenders like this and sell them at your dealership. You could call it the CO Trails edition. I’m out of the JLR family and back to Jeep- the LR4 is gone and I’m in a Gladiator Rubicon with an Alucab canopy. For my uses- carrying a mountain bike and all of it’s required stuff 24/7, the kind of offroading I do, and the more ease of modifying, the Jeep just suit my purposes more. Still love seeing the Defenders modded and out there on the trail tho. No doubt with some mods (not even nearly as many as you did) the new Defenders will be able to go most places their owners want to go with them.

Impressive that the soft roader Land Rover made it despite not having real mechanical lockers, whoever was driving was a great driver, the Jeep was the best off road hands down but the driver wasn’t that good😬 not a horrible driver or any, but some people just have the skill and it’s almost impossible to acquire the top level, just like being a top race car driver, did everyone notice how bad the traction control on the Land Rover was and the lack of wheel travel? I’d love to know how hot the LR brakes got😬 they’d probably got brake fade before they even touch the brakes from all that brake actuation when traction was low.

We owned the defender and the Range Rover, kept the Rover, and just like the gentleman in this video, I chose the 392XR for myself over the defender. 12s in the quarter mile, solid axles, convertable hard top. There just isn't anything that can compete with the 392, especially in XR trim.
