Land Rover New Defenders Traverse 100 miles of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Check out the New Defenders 110 and 90 take on the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway (DBBB). The 100 mile trail is comprised of historic county roads with lots of fun obstacles to test the capabilities of your 4WD rig. When we were there in June, recent heavy rainfall created lots of mud to add to the challenges. Enjoy!

Spot on!
Wow, you all got into some gnarly terrain. Great job.
Awesome area to drive and explore wow! Thanks for sharing
Brilliant video!! Nice capable defenders and your trails look amazing!
Amazing video!! Great footage, nice trails and great driving. Also such a nice convoy of Land Rovers and fancy food! Just superb!! Need to join on a future trip
The best trail video I’ve seen yet! ✊🏽
Range Rover Classic V8 Makes the pair of em look daft !!!!!!!!!!!!
Really enjoyed this video! Keep up the good work.
Good job on Old Fincastle there. It's a rough one.
How is going the Defender reliability? The Defender seems to be the best vehicle in the LR lineup, but the current Discovery line is sad.
Did most or all of this trail during the Red Clay Rally. My LR3 on 35’s, A DII on 33’s, and a D1 on 32’s. I blew an airbag at the end but we all finished (thank God for the SYA Kit). Somehow we made it without pulling cable, but we had to use traction boards for 1 rutty climb. I’m falling in love with the Defender. I need to stop watching your videos. I’m going to send you a video on IG.
Woah woah woah is this the lucky8 front bumper!?
When they have these trail rides they should include all makes of vehicles. It's more entertaining than seeing the same model of care go thru the same hurdles.

Who’s they?
🇷🇺👍
What’s the bag on the wheel for? I am noticing that more and more
At 5:50 that spot looks familiar. Is that on Spaas Creek road? If its the obstacle im thinking of, the actual Spaas Road is to drivers left of that spot.

It is. Went through there about a month ago.
Great video. What’s minimum ground clearance that would make that trail?

Well, we’re at about 12” and still needed to winch… depends on your vehicle and how much “damage” you want to sustain.
Hey another question. You are on 33s without rods right?

Did you add skid plates to the 110?

Both vehicles have been very reliable for us
This is the second video I have watched were your voice is muffled?

Everything you did in this Landrover, could have been done by my 1980's UAZ........it would have made a bit more fuss over some obstacles but I saw nothing it couldn't tackle and that goes for a Series 2A-3 Landrover too.

@@afterthelandroverexperience I know what fantastic really means? For the same price as a short wheelbase Defender , I got an Isuzu D Max double cab AT35.

@@Pinzpilot101 I don't think you will get much argument against your comment. Yes you can do this track in a multitude of vehicles, many cheaper than an LR. But this video is about new Defenders going through a fun track and being comfortable in off road driving. It is not really an attack on other trucks or cars!

@@Pinzpilot101 why do you have to come off like that? Just let people enjoy their defender lol. Nobody said you’re incapable in any vehicle.

Not everyone is a price buyer. People who can afford Lamborghinis don't complain about the price compared to Ford Mustangs ... okay? You're a price buyer and you like cheap - we get it.

@@TrueSight_333 Well not really, you see I have run Pinzgauers and I still own a Unimog, I admit I could not buy a Lamborghini (it wouldn't get up the farm track - unless it were that one they produced in the 70's that looked like a Hummer) I could buy 3 or 4 Defenders.......I guess I can take a little hubris by manufacturers but when they just look you in the eye and say Hey fools were are ripping you off, plain and simple and we know you will buy because you are a 'Landrover man' and will pay any stupid price we ask. I draw the line. I take your 'cheap' jibe with a pinch of salt......I wear handmade shoes and do know the value of quality things. I have to say that this D Max Arctic trucks 35 drives a lot better than a new Jeep Gladiator I tried, I'll bet the Defender pulls in just ahead on quality too, but I made the right choice, when I drove away from the showroom with the new car they gave me a hamper full of gifts...they didn't snigger and say there goes another sucker.

@@Pinzpilot101 Understood.
The Defender has faults, my car has serious driveline vibration and JLR just say it's operating to design intent. Be warned, do not buy one.
