@@EliteJamaica it’s not against the law to live on the sites right. Yes but it’s being done. It’s not against the law for the people in those community to rise up and see that these things are being done. They should hold their elected officials accountable. Form community initiatives and get these things done by and through the movement of the people. I don’t accept your thoughts . That’s what has held down our people for years . Government this and government that. It’s the people that must start the movement and then with steadfastness the government will see the movement and join forces. What this blogger is doing is a movement. I achieved general one in history cxc; and yet still I knew nothing of these sites and information. I left Ja over 36 years now but I remember fully well in my community we got things done due to one man in Saint Mary call Putty. He died and the movement slowed if not died with him. One can chase a thousand and two can put ten thousand to flight. That’s why I’m so happy to see the diaspora with a more clear mindset to return to the land of their birth. I started learning the truth behind jamaica's history by reading the journals of the plantation owners & their families that would visit. Also, doctors and authors that visited in the colonial years. You learn so much. You can't count on school to teach you the true history of any country, you have to look for it yourself. Jamaica's planter class were guilty of a lot, but there was also a mixed- black upper class that was complicit also.

The sites should be maintained and accessible to all with the history documented on plaques with links to QR codes for further study. Great video as usual. This should have been restored and not allowed to fall into ruins so we the decendants can see what our ancestors had to go through with the colonizers. “If you do not know where you come from you will not know where you’re going.” The government should restore these heritage for the people and even add it as heritage tourism. A huge shame on the Jamaican Government! If Paul Bogle had been a white man, those buildings would have been perfectly preserved and kept as shrines!
