@@Abbaschosenonewere the jacobites tribe of judah from the kingdoms in ireland before cromwell shipped us out that the mysterious part! Ras-tafari was haile sellasies full name he's not who they thought he was so now calling that name is idol man worship the pictures and statues....graven images...people don't see his relationship with the wicked queen?... So if they call themselves after his name that's worshipping a man that wasn't their people (tribes) to begin he clearly looks like he's a kushite to me...look at the land in Jamaica thank God for that not a foreigner we have our own original culture before rasta which involves all of what you see them doing here

You went to Jamaica and didn’t even visit my home town there 😢…by the way I was raised in a Rastafarian home. I am now a born again Christian. Even though I didn’t practice Rastafarianism, I had very strange spiritual encounters when I became a Christian. There was a spiritual battle for me between the two realms. We should be very mindful that the spiritual realm is real.

Please, I know its important to get headlines but its not strange, it has depth, and there is so much more. It also has shaped more people than you think...give thanks....Rasta has 12 tribes and much depth...a lot of what you see popularised is not rasta.. Anyway glad that you met people who are serious about their relationship with the Most High.....its a shame that the chap you went with didn't realise how significant that this trip to the village was...its not a trivial for thing....for rudeness.. Actually quite shocked that he kept going with some of those words that came out of his mouth....he was on sacred grounds ,anyway...I will.move from that distraction and give thanks to the most high !

Of course it's not real food in the west..how can you feed all this millions of people with real food???its impossible....find a solution....its impossible for the world to live like this otherwise everyone will run to live like that....But sadly times and people move forward we can't stay at the same place forever....This people have no job to go to them don't have to think how the plane flying how internet and mobile phone function how a car will be running how to study the weather satellite. So this kind of life its ok for a very small group of people but most of the world don't want to live in the bush. We used to live like that 1000 years ago but somehow we ddnt stay to live like that...

@@albania8982You are probably correct in that not everyone wants to live "in the bush". All Rastafari don't live in seclusion...if we did, the world wouldn't knw so much about the culture. We have mansions and drive cars...fly on planes just like you...some of us even fly the planes. Yes, there are many things Rastafari can...and will do. What we won't do is stray away from our natural selves, from nature, from the earth and the heavens. From the teachings of His Imperial Majesty. Emperor Haile Selassie I....1 perfect love. ❤

They are highly spiritual, they love nature and want it in tact. They understand their African connections and hope to one day set their feet on the continent they were once pulled out from. I hope to visit and enjoy this off grid life. I paused when they took you to their worship place, you got to be careful with that, it's not for everyone, what they do there is capable of taking them into a spiritual reams, very deep.

Thank you for this great video about Rastafari. I have studied Rastafari since I was a Youth and know the ways of Rastafari. Even though I am a Caucasian American. I have visited Jamaica in 1995 and lived in the Hills and Mountains of Montpelier is located near the western boundary of Saint James Parish, Jamaica, approximately 10 kilometres from the parish's capital Montego Bay.. I lived with the Don of the town who was a Natural Food and Ganja Farmer. i ate, drank, bathed and smoked directly from the Earth. I lived in a tent next to his old 1 bedroom shack with his wife and many children. They were vary generous and caring and friendly. I will never for get my experience and i long to go back someday to Visit Montpelier Jamaica. I also stayed in a tent in Negril a few feet from the Beach. It was a beautiful experience. I even bought a Nyabinghi drum in Montego Bay Market. I still have that drum today. I have played drum set and keyboards in many Reggae bands over the years.
