I feel like it's kinda normal for breeders to sell "imperfect" animals at a reduced price, but maybe SD will reach a wider audience?

@@kyrab7914 Yeah, I think since SD is more general purpose the animals will have more of a chance (and it sounds like a lot are already adopted). A lot of breeders likely get traffic only from people looking for specific morphs, and if they're spending morph money I imagine they're less likely to buy an imperfect animal.

Yeah but that's cuz medicine usually you taste really bad so if you cover that bad taste with a bunch of sugar you might not want to throw up the medicine because some medicine is so bitter but just taking a giant spoonful of sugar is not a good idea

one of my first pet gerbil was also "imperfecet" his taile was damaged, that was the reason why I pick him :)

I have a snow hog nose. It was amazing when I saw it for the first time he is an adorable.

I did Animal Care at College and Uni. We had Frilled lizards, and on a hot day I managed to get the reptile department to place mealworms at large distances down a corridor and let the dragons run down the corridor. Like you see in documentaries when on hind legs and frilled out. They had so much fun.

Your upload aligned perfectly with when I took my lunch at work today! Food, coffee, and Snake Discovery. What more could I need?

@@constanceschickens6556 no, you’re not wrong! 😂 At my job we call it a “lunch” break no matter which shift you work. I work the 2nd shift, so I go home at 11pm.

Emily shifts effortlessly into "educator interview" mode right after explaining the severe lack of sleep, 10/10 so professionally competent!

What a wonderful idea giving you the "imperfect" animals to adopt! Especially because when people adopt from your program they know they aren't getting some perfect lune bred animal and it's a special needs baby! These is wonderful because these animals still get to live full happy lives and it helps raise money for you to continue this wonderful program! I wonder if more breeders will start doing that! Or even, maybe someone would be able to start a program that is specifically for breeders to donate these types of animals! Everyone deserves a chance, even special "imperfect" animals!

This is beautifully said!! It is good the reptile hobby is taking their responsibility to all the animals they produce seriously. We know from the way greyhounds, and racehorses, are mistreated by too many in their respective communities, with animals often being abandoned when they are no longer generating money for the breeder/owner, it's a scandalous mistreatment of animals that needs better oversight. So it is good to see that the reptile hobby is trying to do things right.

Idk if it's the norm for breeders to sell imperfect animals at a reduced price, but I feel like the app they were talking about is akin to what you're saying. Like I feel like you'd need am entirely separate, national/international organization to run the adoptions. Since I assume like SD, many ppl are v busy, maybe too busy to run their business and coordinate that

He's hilarious too. As a fellow introvert, I get why he wouldn't want to be on camera or in the videos, but glad he is and kudos to him for stepping out of his comfort zone. Think we all appreciate what he brings to the videos.

You both were so kind. We saw you several times in passing in addition to the meet and greet, just because our whole weekend was tinley. I think my favorite was when my kid and I were taking a rest break and we just watched Ed stop what he was doing to take random selfies with some very excited Littles. It was adorable. My daughter and I just watched from the window and I threw out a "you're so nice!" as Ed passed. (Because moments like that should be seen and acknowledged for the joy and wonder they bring) You were both just so genuinely kind to everyone you were interacting with and to me and my kiddo who was absolutely star struck to meet you.❤ You do what you do so well. I'm sorry your Tinley was disrupted.

Baby ball pythons are always cute, but the hypo clown pied is downright adorable. I love their little faces so much!

I will probably never own a reptile, but I still watch this channel because of how wholesome it is. And I am pleasantly surprised how wholesome the reptile community is in general.

Seeing Ed and Emily walk around finding familiar faces is so heart warming! I love seeing the zoo med booth so we can see their charming faces and personalities again :)

I love the energy between Ed & Emily! Their relationship has always been an inspiration.

I love how even when she is tired Emily is still so positive and happy!

I agree with the window sill, Eragon is a great book series, one of my favorites growing up. Movie, we don't talk about.

I watched the movie exclusively for Garrett Hedlund (the actor that played Murtagh), and that's what got me to read the books. Yes, books are better- movie isn't horrible as a movie, but is a terrible book adaptation.

Theres nothing i enjoy more than reading the subtitles you guys add for the reptiles you find/your own reptiles. 😊❤

Always impressed with how much effort goes into each video. It must take ages to edit down the footage, and to even go back and do a voiceover - such dedication.

Mix brown sugar with peanut butter and it's fantastic. You can add in oats too or do chunky if you want more crunch.

I used to eat peanut butter and brown sugar sandwiches and have them sometimes dipped in veggie beef soup is really good .... wasn't aware brown sugar wasn't a common thing for people ..lol ..molasses is a odd taste , but if they have had sweet carrots from most any japanese place , its cooked in brown sugar ... lots of recipes have it

Try mixing it with oats peanut butter and banana. Not too much brown sugar but a spoonful or so. It tastes amazing.

Troy, the brown sugar fan, would love to eat Sucre à la crème ! It's just brown sugar (dark or light), cream and butter. (You can add maple syrup or coffee if you like). Same with the ''canadian'' (or quebec) sugar pie or the pudding chômeur (poor pudding). Give the brown sugar some love. :D

Getting ready to watch this, decided to comment first because I BOUGHT A TICKET and was DYING to go but ended up missing out (there was a waste of my ticket money, oh well at least I just had got a one day pass). I had the best tie-dye shirt ever that I got from an artist at a street fair, super unique and weird and cool, I had made some really cute little sling habitats I was going to fill with baby tarantulas, I was stoked to go to the meet n greet and wanted to ask questions about snakes, and the level of bummed I was to miss out after all that hype was immense. I'm glad at least you made this video so I got to see some of it!

I LOVE just straight brown sugar from the bag!!!! How awesome that Josh's Frogs care enough about their animals to try to make sure that even the "special" one find loving homes!!! It would be nice if maybe before or after the show they could give some time for just the vendors to be able to go around and see things at the show without all the visitors...

Honestly, theses videos are just so great to attest to Emily and Ed's personally, not only from all the gifts that the fans give. But also the gifts from the sellers, instead of selling a reptile, and getting their money's worth, they choose to prestige Emily and Ed 😊😊

I'm just baffled that eating brown sugar right from the bag isn't a thing everyone does. I always have a little extra spoonful for myself, whenever I need some for baking.

My daughter eats her baked sweet potatoes with butter and brown sugar(& a few marshmallows if she really butters me up lol).

The boxes and bag of tarantulas sounds like my biggest fear come to life (especially trapped in an enclosed space with them)

Ooh, Ed! I just started getting into monsteras. My daughter gave me one for my birthday last year. I named it "Cookie", and she is doing really well.

Scott from Scott's Hreat Snakes is awesome. Last Tinley he was trying to sell his group of MBK's, and no one jumped on the project. So since he only lives a few hrs from me, we met up and got them. Brumated them. And now pairing them up. And you can never go wrong buying hogs from Craig Kade.

Tim from Xtreme Xotics is AWESOME! We purchased our first boa from him last week at the Show Me show in STL.

I love watching your videos even though i have no reptiles. I believe that your channel was the first reptile channel i started watching. It grew to several different channels now that i watch pretty regularly.If you watch a few of the egg hatching videos from Mutation Creation, you can see husbandry pro at work. Billy has been using it for a few years now and said it makes keeping track of everything so much easier.

Lmao it’s not just you. That said I expect buying at the last minute is strategic. People would often rather sell at a discount at the end of the day than bring product back home. I remember them saying that in a video giving tips for going to a show

I just wanted to say I’ve always loved your videos and all the reptiles you own which inspired me get any sort of reptile like turtles snakes and lizards you’ve been on elf my favourite KZreadrs ever, recently I got diagnosed with asd (autism) which has been quite helpful and finally my parents gave in and let me get a smooth knob tailed gecko which I named Xena! Forward to today I know have four more! Beany a normal, lil guy a high white, Lorax an albino and spider a high white! I appreciate all your videos and you guys inspired me so much thank you!

I actually eat brown sugar for a snack sometimes, but only when there's nothing else. Gotta add a touch of cinnamon though.

If y'all ever run in 1 hour of sleep again my advice is find someone that has a light espresso in the area. The light roasts have more caffeine and I kid you not it is the most effective way to stay awake. Note: I remember the lightning morph! I am so happy that worked out and he produced them! I'm so excited to see you guys breed them as well!!

Brown sugar straight from the bag, NOW THESE ARE MY KIND OF PEOPLE!!!!

In PA we use brown sugar in baking. Also in my oatmeal with raisins. We make shoe fly pie with it and some other bake goods. We are not Amish but in Lancaster Co where they are popular along with some of their foods. We have German in our Ancestry. Love you both. I’m a corn snake lover!
