Can confirm, I worked in McDonald's before. Out of boredom and wanting add difference, during lunch, asked my friend extra patties in my cheeseburger. I remember asking for extra patties later on when I went to another McDonald's. Also, I stuffed the fries in my Big Mac. So yeah, I don't know about secret menu but the screen shot of the Google search result shows a hack the menu. So yeah, custom orders do exist. Just not secret menu.

omg they can't tell you because its not called a "secret menu" its common knowledge. when i got asked about a secret menu i didn't know what the heck they were talking about. Then when i heard this i was like holy cow they consider "that" to be a secret menu?? XD which means there is no secret menu. The key to the secret menu is not to ask for these items like they're on a menu. It's basically just customising existing menu items, pretty much any restaurant will do that for you

ThisPrivateAccountofMine You're absolutey right - although for the Land, Sea and Air sandwich it might be more cost effective to order the McChicken patty only and the Filet-O-Fish patty only as the Filet costs almost $3 and you're only going to use the patty. Not to mention it'll cut down on food waste - you'd just end up throwing away the buns, along with the condiments and toppings, that come with ordering the regular menu item. I used to work at McDonald's and I can attest to the fact that every restaurant has the option to just order patties - McChicken, hamburger, Quarter Pounder, fish, etc. patties, as well as sides of bacon and sausage in the morning.

I work at a McDonald's part time. I have done so off and on for many years at several locations. There is no such thing as a "secret menu." But we there are an almost unlimited number of things one could order that you won't see posted on the menu boards. That doesn't make it a secret menu. It's just a number of combinations of ingredients we have on hand that we can make to accommodate guest preferences. Here are a few examples of things I have ordered. Bacon cheeseburger deluxe (sound familiar?) Just order a cheeseburger and ask them to add lettuce, tomato, mayo and bacon. We have advertised breakfast for dinner or 24 hour breakfast for some months now. But did you know you can have dinner for breakfast? Order this: one or two breakfast steak patties "on the side" with or without the grilled onions. Here is a hint, ask them to cook you fresh steak patties and request they remove it from the grill 20 seconds early. This will produce a more tender and moister steak. It will be safe to eat because McDonald'd uses an over kill philosphy in cooking meats so their normal method the meat is 20 degrees f hotter inside than is needed for safe cooking. Removing the meat 20 seconds early cuts this difference in half and the meat will taste far better. Ask for no seasoning and then add salt and pepper to your own taste if you think we over salt the meat like I do. Next, ask for shredded lettuce and tomato slices on the side. You can also ask for cucumber and fresh raw onions on the side. The only thing you will be charged for is the tomato and cucumber. Then you could do like I do and use mayo as salad dressing or you could simply buy our packets of salad dressing. This will end up getting you a decent garden salad for far less than the prepackaged one. A side salad is nothing but lettuce and two tiny grape tomatoes anyways. The only down side is they will probably want to put the steak and "salad" in the same container. Then because it is breakfast the only potato we have are hash browns. request a dipping sauce like is used for our chicken nuggets and that will give you something more interesting to dip your hash brown in besides ketchup. Some locations may simply give you the sauce to go with your steak and others may want to charge you a nominal price. Just ask "may I have some BBQ sauce to go with my steak?" word it that way and you have a better chance of getting the sauce for free. Normally you can only get it free with an order of chicken nuggets. This dinner with meat, potatoes and a salad should not cost much more than about $6 depending on location and how many slices of tomato and cucumber you want. Be patient, you will probably confuse the order taker who will most likely have a bewildered look on their face and they will most likely have to consult the manager regarding how to ring it up but I have never heard of a McDonald's that would refuse to make this for you since it requires no extra work than any of the other things they make. But, lettuce and tomato might not be available if you to very early in the morning before the salad prep person begins to set out the fresh salad vegetables. Ours begins that around 7 am. It should still not be a problem most of the time. for a little variety, ask them to cook the hash brown about 30 seconds longer. It will be a little crisper and be a little more caramelized. Sometimes, you can even convince them to cook your hashbrown on the grill which will be much less greasy. Ask to have it cooked like a piece of "ten-one" meat. They will know what you mean. Prefer butter? Ask them to add some butter before they cook it. Also, some locations will be willing to cook you a fried egg instead of the usual "round eggs" made for the egg McMuffin. Not all the breakfast cooks will even know how to do this but some will and it's worth it if you prefer a fried egg. like yours cooked in bacon drippings? ask them to cook it on the grill right after a batch of bacon without removing the bacon drippings from the grill. Again, not all will but some will. Just remember, don't do these things in the drive-through. 99% of the time they will say no just to move you through the line. But if you come inside they are far more accommodating. I like odd things that are not on the menu. I like a mixture of ginger ale and orange juice. Most McDonald's won't have ginger ale so I mix orange juice with sprite. Not quite the same but it's not too bad. While it's a little more work, they will usually be willing to mix any two beverages. With mine they would most likely charge you the price of orange juice and make it half and half at your request. don't like paying for a soda but getting half soda and half ice? ask for one soda of your choice without ice and then ask for a cup of ice on the side. Yes, most locations will make that for you and not charge you extra though you might not get a lid on the cup that holds the ice. If you don't like the scrambled eggs that we make using the processed liquid egg from a carton, ask them to scramble up fresh eggs for you. Request they "crack fresh eggs" to make your scrambled eggs. LIke it with a little milk? Ask them to make it with some milk. Again, l not all locations will do this but many will. Like French toast? Ask them to dip a regular bun in egg and cook it on the grill for you. Some locations will do this for you. Just tell them they want that as a substitute for hot cakes. You could probably get them to give you two buns as a substitute for the hotcakes. Another thing some people have done is gotten Mcgriddles as a substitute for hotcakes. You should be able to get six instead of the three hot cakes and they are delicious with syrup and butter. I know for a fact that kids love them. Want a really big Big Mac? Ask for a double quarter pounder dressed like a Big Mac and tell them to use a Big Mac bun as a substitute. They will do this but may charge you extra for the Big Mac sauce. It will be worth it. Would you like a decent chicken dinner? Ask for grilled chicken patties on the side like the steaks on the side above. You can get hash browns any time of day or night now and you may be able to convince the cook to cook them on grill in butter. They are actually better browned on the grill in some butter. Add the "salad" above and a buttered toasted bun on the side and you have a decent chicken dinner. LIke lobster claws? From time to time, locations in the northeast have lobster sandwiches. I love these but where I live now they don't have them. But if you live in the northeast and they are in season ask them to heat up some lobster claws in the "Q-ing" oven. They come frozen but don't let that stop you. Tell them you don't want the actual lobster salad, just claws. Then ask for melted butter and a couple of lemon wedges on the side. Yes you will have to pay extra for this but it should still cost you less than at a fancy restaurant which will also serve you previously frozen lobsters unless you are getting a whole lobster. Ask them to toast the bun for you since usually the bun that comes with the lobster roll isn't usually toasted. then ask them to butter it for you. French fries go quite well with half a dozen lobster claws and the best part is that you won't have to remove them from the actual claw, what you get is the meat from the claw intact and unbroken. McDonald's will substitute nearly any meat for any other meat. Sometimes there might be a price difference. They also will substitute cheese. Most locations have American, cheddar and shredded cheese. You can have grilled onions added to nearly anything no charge. Ask them to make you a fresh batch using butter instead of reduction sauce. At least that's the way I like it. Mix a little ketchup and mustard in with the tangy barbecue sauce and put that on a plain quarter pounder or grilled chicken. It is REALY good on a fresh grilled chicken. Another secret is you can get nearly anything made fresh if you request it. I've never heard of anyone being refused fresh food. If the McDonald's that you visit sells soft serve ice cream, ask for pie a la mode. Also ask for some whipped cream on your pie. I don't think they will charge you extra but they may depending on the location. Here is something I had the other day. I asked them to grill me a couple of tomato slices and then put those on a grilled onion chedder cheeseburger. That was delicious. Lettuce, sliced tomato, grape tomatoes, spring mix (when in season) baby spinach (when in season) fresh onions, cucumbers, fresh lemon, fresh lime, corn chips, southwest vegetable mix, shredded cheese, cheddar cheese, American cheese, bacon or any other meat we sell, cranberries (when in season), strawberries, blue berries, apple slices, fresh oranges (when in season) and nearly any other ingredient that might be on hand can be added to a salad. Several of those you would be charged extra for but many items they would add no charge. A few locations in the south have gravy for biscuits. If your location does, ask for gravy with the steak dinner or chicken dinner mentioned above. Ask for strawberries on your hotcakes I have also made fish chowder, omelettes, meatloaf, shepherd's pie with the ingredients found in our kitchen but those are things you probably won't be able to convince them to make due to the extra labor.

The secret menu refers to custom items made by manipulating their "pay to add a patty"-esque option. Everything on the menu is created by people online and referred to as a secret menu to give it identification. It's not literally a secret menu they're hiding in the back.

Here are some of My custom recipes: The Real McItaly 2 *chicken patties, ask for marinara sauce. Ask for Mozzarella sticks. Ask for big mac bread. Lettuce, tomatoes. Italian dressing. Brush Italian dressing into the bread (a little.) Cover chicken patties with marinara. smash your mozzarella sticks, and build your sandwich. Tangy and Delicious. Add some pepper. McFish Crunch burrito! Tell them to make you 2 fresh fish fillets, ask to cook very crispy ( a little longer)... Add Cheese, and cut into 6 strips. Add into the burrito bread you get with the sausage burrito. Add french fries. Add salad. Add 1 wedge of a cutie tangerine (optional but good!!) Add bacon! (if you eat it. Oh boy!) Add ranch dressing. Add pepper. Add a little Mac sauce as well. OMG ! This might be best to request later in the evening, or off peak hours. I may make these and post a video lol Great video friend!

The secret menu isn't a secret menu, it's a collection on items on a menu which people come up with themselves... if you try and order it at a McDonalds you have to order items in a specific way which is described by the "secret menu" online. For example, the Monster Mac is not a real thing... you have to tell them you want a big mac with 8 patties.

When I worked at McDonald’s, we didn’t have a “secret menu” but the computer systems let you put different ingredients together to build your own sandwich or whatever. And the kitchen staff usually didn’t care unless it was too messy. I would always try different things to see if they tasted good together. (Spicy Chicken inside two McGriddle breads and tartar sauce was one of the crazier ones)

All McDonald's will have those soon but ordering off menu isn't just about mixing and matching ingredients but being creative with those ingredients to the point that the BYOB station won't be able to accommodate the request.

You can get a Root beer float. It's in a McFlurry cup. You can also Order birthday ice cream cakes, but most stores don't have them. They stock them when you order a Birthday party, which is basically a reserved area for a B Day, and stuff. There's also the Daily Double, MacWrap, Double Filet, Chicken McGriddle, etc. It's what's on the registers, not the customer menu.

'Do you have the, uh, McGangBang?' 'No but you free later?' 'ummm'

hes said its legit? no dude thats called a "special order". a secret menu means the employees know about the items and can make them on request, but is not actually listed on the menu.

Next time you do an experiment like this, do it when it's not so busy.

Me an my Coworkers have made a few "secret menu" items of our own that are actually good: 1. The Bigger Mac (big mac with 1/2lb beef 2. Triple Filet of Fish 3. 'BBC' starting from the top(Bun Bacon and Cheese, Burger, Bacon and Cheese, Burger, Bacon and Cheese. 4. Oreo Milkshake. 5. Shamrock Frappe (mocha frappe with shramrock syrup (bonus points for oreo stuff)) 6. Caramel Apple sundae (Caramel Sundae and stick apple slices in it) 7. McChicken, Egg, and Cheese McGriddle. 8.Cinamenlting sundae (Cinnamelts with Icream) 9.McOcean (Blue Slushie with Sprite mixed in) 10.Cheesy Nuggets (melted cheese on nuggets)(cannot be ordered nor made for a customer tho)

I worked at McDonald's. There is no secret menu. Period. When I worked there, we were familiar with all of the names for stuff that people either custom ordered or assembled on their own. Some we would make and wrap for then, other sandwiches were too big to wrap so we would give them separately. Don't be afraid to ask them to customize a sandwich, they will combine any food together in their restaurant as long as they can be charged accordingly.

In ALL of the videos say to NOT ask just using the random names. You ask like you're asking for a a weird burger with loads of specifics. The secret menu isn't McDonald's secret menu. Effectively it's just what people discovered what you could order & after gave them names. Of course you can't just ask for a Land, sea & air burger.

McBesity, a bonus item that comes free with the order of any of these "Secret Menu" items.

Dude, congrats to the Mcdonalds manager who was all like "I'm not going to say 'no', we can try."

I used to work at McDonalds and the "Mc Gang Bang" was an actual popular dish, the odd thing about it was our managers didn't like when we as associates called it a Mc Gang Bang back to the customer, "we would have to say wo do not carry it, but we do carry a jr. chicken and mc double." It was honestly silly, but it was because of the name of the burger and we were needing to be professional, with that being said, I would have just put the order in and not need to correct the customer. Anyway, We as associates know what the secret menu items are, not to mention, managers know about it. Also working there, a big chunk of customers don't order the ideal menu items, a lot them actually alter the menu. Hence the reason of the big mac with bacon, they ended up putting that as one of there menu items later because a bunch of customers would add it to the burger.

We have the MEGA Mac here but it is just the same thing as a Big Mac but with 4 beef patties instead of 2.

I forget what it's called exactly, but a few years ago I asked for a milkshake I heard about on the secret menu that was vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry mixed. I said the name and a worker said he knew what I was talking about and made it.

I've just recently made a "Junior Chicken" Extra Sauce Extra Shredded Lettuce Add Pickles Add Slivered Onions and to top it off ADD 2 Extra Junior Patties. That's three patties! Im calling it "McAberdons"

I work at maccas part time while studying and I can tell you, there's no way to really tell who invented these items. I mean like maccas can make you whatever a customer wants with the ingredients available (monster Mac, add 6 10:1 patties) and same with other burgers, you just pay extra for the items. But with the 'rhubarb mcflurry' or the 'root beer mcfloat' they're probably all made up items, that either a customer or employee made them self then passed off as a legit 'secret menu' item. It's pretty easy to do. For example, a manager got a m&ms mcflurry, with added caramel sauce, added Oreo and added strawberry, and we dubbed it 'diabetes in a cup'. no 'secret menu' exists, if there are managers or crew going along with it, it's because they're going along with the joke
