*Big spoiler but for the dad only because he said he won’t watch it* : It’s about people leaving in a sort of medieval kingdom and thought to be the last sample of humanity. Others are supposed to have been eaten by titans. They are protected from titans thanks to a gigantic wall but one day a colossal titan appears and destroy the wall so others titans invade and kill almost everyone, among them the mother of the protagonist. He then swear to kill’em all. he discovers that he has the power to turn into a titan and thus can fight more efficiently. The whole 3 firsts seasons they fight to recover their land lost and discover the secret of titans since it seems that someone « intelligent » related to the titans want their death and they find out that humanity hasn’t been destroyed, they were all this time in an island disconnected to the outside world which is very civilized, it’s like living all your life in the 15th century to find out that it’s only your town and the outside world is in 1945. Those titans are in fact people from their « specie », they can turn into titans if injected with titans spinal fluid, making them walking disasters, plus their ancestors had dominated the world with this power, so everyone want to kill them even if they didn’t do anything personally. The walls contain millions of gigantic titans so the protagonist who has the power to control them unleash them to trample the world (so the rumbling title) and save his country. He successfully wipe out 80% of humanity

This show is probably one of the best anime ever, the plot twist, politics conflict, ethic fights are amazing. As for an example the main conflict of this show is that from the point of view of the world, the protagonist and his country are evil because they can turn into titans and their ancestors colonized the world so they try to kill them. But from our point of view the protagonist are good and the world is evil. There’s no good or bad peoples. It’s like if Europa wanted to genocide Germany because of WW2 but the actual Germans are innocents and one of them can nuke the world

This is a great summary, but it kinda rushes the last two paragraphs and I don’t think they’d make sense to someone who doesn’t watch AoT. The tech of the main character’s country is medieval. The titans attack and threaten them. Their nation is walled in for protection. All explained by the guy above. But in the end of season 3, they find a journal from the main character’s father, who came from another country + lived outside of the walls. His journal explains that the rest of the world is 100+ years ahead for technology and that there is a group of people, called Eldians, who are discriminated against and placed in concentration camps (like ww2 Jews). Eldians can turn into titans when they come in contact with the spinal fluid of a Titan. The main character’s father is an Eldian and it’s revealed everyone in the main character’s country are Eldians, as well. This was a piece of *lost history* - The cause of the discrimination against Eldians is because the rest of the world fears the titans for their destructive potential and because the Eldians *once* were conquerors (centuries prior) and it was feared that they could rise again. The main character, through a long chain of events, gains the ability to control titans, and makes the walls around his nation fall down. The walls are built around xl “colossal” titans that are nearly invincible. He activated them all - an act called “the rumbling” - and sends them to walk over and flatten the world outside of his country. To kill the rest of the world in revenge for their discrimination against his people. And there’s a lot more to that, but we’re sticking to the simple explanations

Newcomer here, but if you take the advice of myself and others, first time reacting to Attack on Titan will definitely grow your channel! Im not even joking, especially since both father and son have great buddy chemistry. It’ll be a journey you both will cherish for the rest of your lives, trust me. Im not even into anime (ive only seen like 3 in my lifetime that i was invested in), but this show truly captured something great. The plot twists and turns. It’s a show that will constantly keep you asking questions in a good way, as everything is eventually answered with such great pay off. Id like to also point out that if you two start soon, you will probably finish it before the final season concludes. It’s confusing, but the final season has been split into 3 parts, with part 3 being the Conclusion Arc. Brace yourselves for a thrill ride of a lifetime. Father, give it a shot and experience it with your son!! You wont regret it, i guarantee it !! :S

This is a masterpiece and it's really hard to explain because the plot is so original and the twists and turns are things I doubt anyone could've predicted. The best anime I've ever seen and actually it's just the best story with God tier storytelling. It's definitely worth your time to watch it. Every reactor that has started watching has loved it and many have had their minds blown. One of the biggest messages for me in the show is not everything is black or white, you think you know what side is good and bad but this show really makes you question a lot about yourself, how the world is, and your morals and ideals.

Attack on titan is pretty hard to explain couse is very long and complex, but, to make it short: there´s a giant people (call titans), arrond 16-49 feets who eat people, humanity have to hide inside walls of 164 feets tall, and that´s how they survive around 100 years. But everything changes when a titan appears that is taller than 164 feet and destroys the walls, now the military police must once again face the threat of the titans.

Titans themselves ARE a symbol of fear and loss and anxiety and depression in the society the protagonists come from. Without spoiling too much, I will say it's very much an animation meant for an audience of, I'd say, around 16+. There's a lot of calls to action for the main group of characters, as well as political assassinations, coups, outright war and civil war, and the motivations of every character and for how the world is built at first are very well-explained in later seasons based on history the main characters learn about. The main protagonist, Eren, has to make a lot of difficult decisions, and seems to some of his former comrades to have gone insane. Underneath it, though, is his same surprising intelligence and political acumen. The song reflects this seeming split in his psyche as a result of all he's been through by this point in the show- not gonna lie, they have some pretty severe depictions of trauma. It's all part of the storytelling.

basically, long story short. the story takes place on an island, on the island there’s 3 walls protecting the ppl on it, the people are a race of humans known as eldians/ subjects of ymir. the eldians on the island believe they’re the only ones left in the entire world, they have no idea what’s outside the walls. s1 talks about how the main protagonist discovers he has the power to turn into a titan, so they use it to fight other titans. in s2 they find out there’s more ppl that can also turn into titans, and they try to get information from them, because apparently they know more about titans and the outside world more than the ppl in the walls do. first half of s3 talks about how the government and the royal family actually knows the whole history but they’ve been trying to keep it a secret to protect the ppl within the island. so they try to kidnap the main protagonist and take away his titan power. but in doing so the government fails, and the main protagonists find out the partial truth, and learn that the king has been a pretender the whole time, the real king is hidden away with the power to control all titans and eldians, known as the founding titan. s3 part 2, finally tells us that there are humans outside the walls, all around the world. the ppl of the world all have a hatred towards that race of ppl, the eldians. because for 2000 years the eldians’ ancestors conquered and reeked havoc upon the world, using the powers of the titans (only eldians are able to turn into titans). so now they discriminated against and the ppl of the world wants to extinguish the eldians. s4 talks about how the main protagonists on the island advances in technology after learning about the outside world, and making their attack back onto the world for ruining their peace years ago back on the island. and i’ll leave the rest to you, if you decide to watch it…

The series without too many spoilers is about these people trapped in their cities within giant walls. Walls protect them from titans which are these giant naked dudes that basically only want to eat them. To answer some of your questions, yes there are soldiers trained to try and kill those things, but mostly, all they wanna do is study them, to understand what they are, and why they wanna eat them etc. The protagonist from the very first episode clearly shows that he finds living inside the walls stupid, as if they are caged, and he wants freedom. PS: The plot is clearly much more complicated and vast compared to what i said, but those would be spoilers.

Anime is very diverse. There are the super child friendly ones and to the ones that are so dark it would make GOT baby stuff. A lot of the material are taken from manga series but animation studios can create their own series and films. Attack on titan was taken from a manga series created by hajime isayama (hajime is his last name). AOT in a nutshell is humanity pushed to a corner trying to fight giant humanoids in order to survive and gain freedom. It gets very complex per season. Season 1 is the slowest because it introduces the show and the main characters but it gets quick in s2 until season 3. Like you'd be surprise you're in s3 already. That kind of fast. Season 4 is where the fun starts. ;)

You should consider reacting to different Attack on Titan songs, if nothing else. The Rumbling is something of its own when it comes to the plethora of music tracks from the series, but since you clearly understand music, I think you'd appreciate the artistry. The genre shifting in The Rumbling is found often in a lot of the tracks. However, you should start with K21, I think, based on your channel. There are different versions of it--three, I believe, two without a main vocalist, one with David Whitaker--and I think you'd enjoy that as your entry point. As for something else, consider reacting to Devil May Cry 5's battle themes for the characters of Dante, Nero, V and Vergil. These are very much in your genre, and are awesome. If you don't know the series, it's a video game series that ranks your gameplay in live time, with an announcer shouting the ranks as you do better and better. These songs on their own might perplex you a little, but it's because they were designed to get better and louder the higher your rank. So starting very slow, then the announcer shouts your next rank up, so the music adds more instrumentals of vocals, and continues to do so. But even without that context, they're great fun. And with that context, know us gamers got a great laugh when video game reviewers said the music was too quiet/slow because it immediately told us they weren't even trying to play halfway decent.

‼️SPOILERS‼️ I'll try to explain it quite clearly: 1. Titans, where did they come from? - Unknown. This is an unknown virus that once clung to the spinal cord of a little slave girl who served King Fritz. Her name is "Ymir". 2. What happens in anime and what is it about? - I believe that everyone should understand the meaning of this manga and anime. For me, it's about love, slavery, racism, nazism and misunderstanding between people. What does love have to do with it? The answer is simple, the slave Ymir could have killed King Fritz at the very beginning of her transformation into a titan and taken power for herself, but she did not do this because she LOVED him. Thanks to the main characters - Mikasa and Eren, Ymir realized that it is possible to overcome her love in the name of peace and humanity. At the time of Eren's death, Ymir smiled with her eyes open (meaning that she was free from now on) because through Mikasa she realized that it was possible to let go of love.

Watch the anime with Dad :D, and tell your dad to really just have open mind to anime. Cartoon will make him think it's like He-Man or Transformers cartoon. It's adult animated anime with deep psychological story...and fictional if he hates all fantasy & scifi shows you won't get him to watch =)

Attack on titans is about normal humans who are terrorized by giants who eat them and in that part of the world, huge walls protect them. That’s about as much without spoiling it. If you watch the first episode and want to continue, join the many who record their reactions . Fair warning, it is not for children.

Spoiler...... So ultimately it's about a Race of Humans from a race called Eldians that are descendants of Ymir who was the first Titan.....so all Eldians can become Titans. Well The Eldians on this Island Nation of Paradis had their memories erased 100 years earlier, but they were told Titans had overtaken the world and were hell bent upon consuming Humans. The Truth however is the Island if Paradis are hated and despised by the World and the World wants to genocide them like the Nazis wanted to genocide the Jews. There are 9 Intelligent Titans that are Eldians who can transfrom from titan and back to humanoid form, but they each have special abilities. and the rest are basically Mindless killers.

I'll make it short and sweet for you. What will you do if people persecute you and your clan for the sins of your ancestors that you never committed in the first place?

@@Aleks96 actually in terms of smarts I’d have to say jinx, even though she is absolutely insane, she is extremely weapons/tech savvy, her battle iq is actually insane, and will even on occasions use her craziness to catch people off guard into think she is nothing but crazy and not intelligent, but little did they know😂
