It's awesome to hear the legitimate enthusiasm from Zion and Alana about games. This is the reason this is one of my favourite gaming channels, they actually care about games.

Me too! It's disappointing that it wasn't announced in yesterday's direct, but my nerves are getting shot for my 2nd anticipated game! (My 1st one was Storyteller was Annapurna Interactive. It was announced in 2021 and came out last March! I completed it last September!)

Hello Kitty Island Adventure does sound really good. I’m not interested, but I’m happy that’s people who are will have a good game.

I believe it when you two say Hello Kitty Island Adventure is surprisingly good, as Someone who wasn't too fond of Horizons and just wanting more of an immersive title instead of a sims game. And when I watched the trailer for this game, something in me knew this would give me what I was missing in Animal Crossing New Horizons, I don't know how to explain it. I can just feel it, can't wait to check it out. Also scary that after you talked about the game an ad for Animal Crossing New Horizons pops up and I got scared that they're hearing me lol

I was so excited for The Plucky Squire when I originally saw the trailer, it's such a charming and creative interpretation of 3D and 2D platforming - and honestly just looks like good honest, wholesome fun. Looking forward to this!

Not only is The Plucky Squire creative, but by having a unique name, it will also teach players new vocabulary words. 👍

Plunky Squire is really surprising me. First time I've heard of it and the contrast visual difference between the book and within are outstanding. Reminds me a lot of Pac Man world for PS1 with the way the movement goes for some reason 😅

Can you confirm that all battles are random encounters? I don't see evidence of it in the footage, but on the other hand, I see no overworld sprites for roaming enemies. I'm a bit sad about that.

@@That_Lady_CharlieWii U was already a little more powerful than PS3/360 and Switch is more powerful than Wii U. So no, I’d say Switch is definitely more powerful than the PS3 and 360. Though not as much as PS4/One, of course.

What the hell happened to all those games lately? I was looking forward to playing Plucky Squire since it was announced in the direct years ago!

I watched the demo for Afterlove on Twitch. I was actually wondering what gender the main character has. The other characters have quite distinct male or female features. But Rama felt like it could be both. And I can’t remember that Rama was ever addressed with a pronoun. I was wondering if that was on purpose so that Rama could be any gender and players of all genders can identify with the main character.

Hmmm Same as in the trailer the avoid showing characters talk cuz if the game doesn’t have voice acting it’s really a big deal for me That’s a remake they have to make voice acting like any HD-2D game.

I'll also add Nintendo are keeping Geoff Keighley as far away as possible, so even if it were announced before, it wouldn't have been at SGF to play.

UFO50 seems like a giant release that will flop horribly.

There were some hidden gems but personally I felt that this Direct was mostly mid and not peak like I saw the rumors say that it was going to be.

I actually felt that too primarily with the woman. I don't want to knock anyone's speaking style because I actually got stuck in speaking in a similar manner for some time but the thing is that I love to hear her speak and the "like"s took up time that she could have portrayed more of her awesome personality. (if you see this Alana I'm sorry and really not trying to be mean 😭 my first time hearing you and I love your personality and thought process)

@@jessa7323 Yeah, I'm not trying to be mean either, but it's definitely something these two people - being public speakers on KZread (and it being their job) - need to seriously work on. It reminds me of that God-awful "valley girl" way of speaking from several decades ago. Not sure if that ever made it outside the USA, but it was a regrettable fad here for a thankfully short time.

A bunch of so so looking indie titles and dragon quest in case anyone wants to save 50 minutes. Horizon looks garbage unless you like the simplified lego gameplay.

Yuck, why are 2.5 graphics still used in games??!?! That Atari game looks horrible. The enviroments, and the enemies. I mea, the main character looks good, but the game's butt ugly.
