Hey Robyn! Thanks! I just need to shift gears in the way we research topics. Still, we have previously done a LOT of videos from here.

Thank you sir. It does seem like a good place to fish, and I have plenty of tackle, so perhaps eventually I will get both time and motivation to do it. I do miss fishing.

Glad you made it safe and sound! these outdoor videos you keep posting with the good nature vibes are making me jealous! It all looks so gorgeous :) A John Fogerty vibe with the style of jean jacket there I like it a lot 🤠 I look forward to seeing more of whatever you post. I know their is lots to explore in Mi and area. You had some great vids prev and Im sure their's even more untapped if you decide to make those. I know it probably takes a different thing to have them how you want them when you're lacking a statue or something more robust but that also helps give you a structure to speak easily and concisely about topics that could be quite spralling. If you're ever on the frankenmuth side of things the Christmas store parking lot after dark and after store closing can be quite good and striking if your camera does that kind of light ok. the crisp black sky behind the twinkling lights is kinda wonderful. it's a bit cheesy but it can also be oddly peaceful and the lights really do look less carnival-ly after dark. (I have spent way too much time in frankenmuth over the years and miss the stupid place sometimes but the best pics I have from there are ridiculously all from nights spent down at that parking lot so if you'reover in the area and running/run out of daylight and the bad moon's rising it's not a bad place to end a day.--sorry I couldn't help myself slipping that in :D) anyways... I have babbled on quite enough, Glad you both made it safe and in one piece. hope things are still going well. :)

WOW, as chance would have it, we may very well be in Frankenmuth TODAY. Don't know if we'll be there after sunset thought, because it's a two hour drive home from there, but yeah, maybe we could shoot some more there. We visit Frankenmuth with some regularity. We actually had considered attending Oktoberfest last week there, but it didn't work out for us. It's raining today, so I am not sure what, if anything, we may capture. Actually traveling on other business.

@@Realunitedstates hope the non-channel travel went well :) Hope you had a good drive. I am always here for Frankenmuth videos (that was actually how I found your channel- was trying to remember something and figured someone would have posted footage of there. you didn't have shots of what I was looking for that day but I stayed with hopes of seeing more in that area and Michigan in general and then soon after you moved to DC :D

Well, we did have a nice day, although sadly we didn't get any new video. But, I sent you a post card. :-) Not to worry, we get to Frankenmuth with some regularity and will get more video when we get there.

Love the hair cut. You’re looking good. Tell your lovely wife she needs to come out from behind the camera more. We miss seeing her. So glad you’re back in Michigan. We visited there for the first time in 2017 and can’t wait to go back. Glad we’ll get to see some of it again thru your videos. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much. Good news, I think there is a new episode next Monday, one of the last episodes in DC, that has Bev in it. Being in front of the camera is not something she really enjoys all that often.

RealUnitedStatesVlog I know that feeling. I want to start putting out videos on my channel, so I put one together recently on my cellphone. It was of the family on an outing to a local tourist attraction. I was behind the camera. Now I’m working on one for a recipe. That one is more challenging as I don’t feel comfortable being on video. Videoing in public although awkward was more easy than being videoed. Just know that you and Beverly are an inspiration. 😊

Well, many people begin not being comfortable on camera, or with the sound of their recorded voice, but it gets easier and easier and more natural the more times you do it. If I learned nothing else from my cancer experience, the one thing I did get driven home is: don't let fear control you.

Good to see you again and back in your old "stomping area" in Michigan. You sound energized after so much effort to move. You two did that move all on your own???? Tell us about that fast-moving river behind you, the Muskegon River? Flowing so fast for the month of September. I bet there's river rafting or kayaking going on there now. As for the season, Yes, we are starting to see some color in the leaves here in New England, too, with peak season coming into my area around October 12. OH, SO SPEAKING OF FALL FOLIAGE ... I came across this handy link to where and when there is peak fall foliage by dates..... at the bottom of the linked map, one can adjust the date from Early September well into late in the fall. LINK TO MAP: smokymountains.com/fall-foliage-map/ . Right about now, we are into "minimal to patchy" in northern New England, which makes it seem like you folks may be a week or so behind us in your area of Michigan.

Yes, we are only starting to see an occasional tree or patch that is beginning to change color. Still comparatively early in the fall here, but it comes on quickly when it comes. As for the Muskegon River, well it just happens to be relatively fast moving in the area near us, but not everywhere along its length. It does run many miles down across western and sort of southwestern Michigan where it empties into Lake Michigan at the city of Muskegon. Finally, yes, we did the entire move all by ourselves. We packed, hauled, loaded, drove, unloaded entirely just with the two of us.

Glad to hear you're safely moved! If I'm not too nosy what county you in? My son in TC says they've been getting lots of rain too and Great Lake levels are near record highs. Hope you get things squared away before the cold sets in!

Hey Terry, we're in Mecosta county, about an hour and forty-five minutes drive south of TC. So, we're getting the same storms your son is getting. The seasonal weather makes for a weird dichotomy. because it's easier to video in the snow, but it's easier to DRIVE in the rain.

I used to fish extensively, but in recent years not so much. Sometimes I miss it, but there are only so many hours in the day and only so many days, so life is a series of compromises.
