I found this video while looking for commentary on Manna. Very cool to find your recent chat with the author! I’m thankful that Marshall chose to make it available to read for free online. It’s how I found it, and I have sent it to a few folks each year whenever I have a deeper discussion of AI’s implications. More, in recent years 🤨 The fact that it exists a novella is an advantage: “spend a couple hours reading this story” is a much easier time ask to send to folks who want to engage with the ideas in it. Me, I’ll read the novel too if Marshall decides to flesh it out, and then go watch the film afterwards! The novella stands on its own already though; it’s both a good yarn and a fantastic tool for furthering discussion.
