The noise from the waves lapping on the hull can be reduced by floating a fender or pool noodle from the bow on each side so it lays along the chine of the hull. André in Sydney

Clearly people now watch for the cool couples dynamics and bonus outdoor life but becoming like many other KZread channels on people travelling in their yacht or their van rather than being back to basic. Definitely more comfortable when you have power/lights/bed.

Good timing. That crack in the old boat was getting very dangerous! Good to see you upgrade into a wonderful cruiser with a lot more room. As you had mentioned, the extra room allows for a great deal more advantages to staying on the boat, rather than abandoning for the evening to the beach.

You have really inspired me to be in the water more often. I started off with land based fishing, then kayak then a half cabin. I was planning a little overnight trip on the Noosa river up in Sunshine Coast, but the weather forecast says 30km/hr wind. I was going to cancel the trip but after watching your video, it gave me the sense of adventure and excitement. I'm so heading out there. Thanks mate. Oh my goodness, I got just as excited as the two of you were when I caught sight of your new boat. lucky Jack and Fran I am so happy and excited for the two of you. Mate your boat looks incredible, so wide, a beautiful wood floor, what a work of art. A lockable cabin, hard top and opening front windscreen, just perfect. I am half way through watching this video, after you have anchored in the lagoon getting ready for tea with Fran. I could hear the slight chop banging against the hull of that incredible brand new boat. My goodness, I thought, If my guess is correct, your hull will be banging all night, so long as there is a breeze causing a chop. I bought my 8.3 metre lockable half cabin In Bibra Lakes, south of Perth in 2006.My two camping trips to the Gulf of Carpentaria N.T. for 3 months in 2011 and 4 months in 2013. I slept on my boat and it banged like a sledge hammer on bad nights and a small steel hammer on calm nights. Please let me know how the two of you slept. I will be 71 this year. I had planned my third trip up north, but Corvid with the border closures put a stop to that. I bought a sheet of closed cell high density foam and spray on glue, which I was going to glue onto the Gull wind at the front starting just below the water line going upwards to the front. I was hoping that this would soften the hammer blows at the bow while I slept. Another option could be to tie off the anchor to one stern bollard during the knight, to stop the banging at the front. Cheers, I got so exited for the two of you when I saw that big beautiful boat, I know exactly how excited the two of you felt. Take care please.
