Hey this is a little of topic but I need your help I tryed to buy a red tail shark from my local chain store today but was refused because I said I have guppys in my tanks this I don't understand I was told a red tail was only a threat to what it can fit into its mouth not a single one of my guppys in that tank would of been anywhere near to fitting into its mouth was the store assistant right or wrong to resuse me I see her to have been in the wrong

Hi cory and co, I look after a set up like this in New Zealand and it's pretty good . One huge issue I have is calcium or scale build up wherever the water drips down, so the backs of the tanks for example. This brings the ph up a lot, from 7.4 to 8.3 over time. What do you suggest I could do to stop this from happening ? It causes a lot if tail curling and stress in my poor betas and I dont know what to do. Hope you can help. Thanks

you should import bettas from indonesia, we have excellent and rare collection here

I wish chain stores would use a setup like this. Not only is it better for the bettas, but it really highlights their beauty.

@Dopamine Unfortunately, the closest Petco to me isn't much better than Petsmart. They keep them on a shelf in the same little cups.

Ugh a petco in my area that used to be pretty decent looked awful today! I should probably tell the store so they know to get their shit together. There were so many sick betta this time 😣

All the Local store in my area dont keep them in tiny cup, they are in planted aquarium or in betta barrack that Cory got. And the chain store just dont sell betta. I actually haven't seen betta sold in cup :)

This set-up is what's used in the UK from what I've seen, I've yet to see bettas sold in cups over here.

Thankfully over here in the UK our big chain fish stores uses a similar system to this but a a bit smaller. Our local indie store while a great store overall does keep them in those small unfiltered tank

Someone on Facebook posted about your betta setup. The betta page loves it and so glad you care about this fish more than just keeping them in a cup.

What's crazy is this is still smaller that the smallest betta tank I've seen at a store, I live in the UK though, i think keeping them in cups like your chain stores do is illegal here

@@thewarhammerworkshop i kinda agree about putting betta in a cup. although it is awful for the betta. they would be more cheap and therefore more likely to be bought and put into a bigger tank

The shop just got a whole lot betta! Seriously, awesome setup Cory. That system really has a way of showing off the fish. You don’t really see “a rack of fish”. I like it. I really wish I was local to you because you would take so much of my money. 🐡

I love this. This finally teaches people that YES BETTAS NEED A FILTER! From right in the store. Not to mention you keep your stock alive EXPONENTIALLY longer!

If I still lived in Washington, I would absolutely go to your store and get one of those bettas.

I seen this rack system in Colorado only 2 store have them at the moment. I know where to get it but no funds to get enough and they can actually customize to hold more than 32 tank.

Thank you Cory for treating these beautiful fish with the humane care they deserve! We bought a Betta (after watching every video you have on them and giving our planted tank a month to cycle) and was so sad to see the way they are kept in most chain pet stores. There was a beautiful pink and white one with frilly fins that was dead. 😔 We bought a handsome black mustard moon tail and he is living the good life in his 10 gallon tank.

Your new Betta set up is amazing!! It really shows the individual beauty of each betta in detail! I also appreciate that your new set up will show each new betta owner the importance of not leaving them in a cup and that filtration is important to their health! I love all of your videos, keep up the awesome work you do!

I love this setup. This is the kind of setup that I wish was required for commercial stores to sell bettas. It's heart breaking to see them stewing in little cups, diseased and dying.

That's a great setup, wish there was a store like this near me. So much better for the fish and the customers. Petsmart and Petco need to have this and end the cup abuse.

The whole setup is great I think my favorite part is the numbering above the bettas.

It looks amazing. What lucky Bettas. I was lucky enough to stop in yesterday to see it. It looks amazing in person. I am from High River, Ab Canada. My girls really loved feeding Murphy. You have an amazing store and staff. 🙂

This is definitely the only place I would consider getting a betta from. I love the way they're kept and every one I've bought from a cup in a pet store had horrible issues. I love seeing them being kept properly.

The first betta you showed on the higher priced wall with the copper/ orange fins was absolutely breathtaking! I think it’s the most spectacular set up for bettas I ever seen in a store. You really have outdone yourself. Thank you ever so much for sharing and best wishes always.

Rock Beach Aquatics in Rochester NY has the same system, although not as many. Very impressive, Cory. It’s so refreshing to see someone take care of bettas instead of putting them in little cups. I wish I lived near your store!

So happy to see another store with this setup! I know of only one local fish store that actually has this setup and it is amazing (the Nemo bettas and rose tail bettas they have can show their true colors). It allows for a better display of the fish and It truly makes a difference.

I really like the fact that bettas are becoming more popular... they are very cool fish that didn’t used to be popular and weren’t really appreciated as much but now they’re getting the attention they deserve

😍 You Betta belive it! Maybe A mossball, to give the betta sense of direction. It will, I my opinion, keep them from jumping. (just a idea)

Better yet sell them the moss ball with betta. Make more money, cleans the tank and its good for the fish.

Prof Green Foot It doesn’t clean the tank, it’s just a ball of algae. They’re so slow growing that the amount of nitrogen they remove from the water is pretty negligible.

This is amazing. I can see the love and care you put into all of your fish. Best setup I have seen for Bettas at a store.

THis is awesome! My love of Aquariums and fish started with the Betta wall in Pet World Henrietta, NY. They had a beautiful fish room and a wall of Bettas.

I think there is salt in the water so you can’t put plants in. That’s what I think

Wow, you have really outdone yourself now...those Betta barracks are THE BOMB. That really looks awesome. What a great setup with the filtration. Geez I would be in there standing around for hours just staring at them,trying to decide which one of those beauties I wanted. You have some outstanding looking stock there. This is awesome for multiple reasons I’m always kinda upset by the fact chain stores like petsmart keep bettas in cups. These are so much nicer for the fish and just look 10x nicer prolly leading to more sales also im sure

Cory, are the lights strong enough to keep floating plants alive, frogbit or duckweed? I assume those might calm the bettas down even more. Any thoughts on if floating plants would decrease/increase how much they jump?

Yes I believe a single piece of Java Fern or Hornwort would help the bettas health n behavior wise. I would Keep the bubble nest it would help the bettas feel more comfortable and they will flair more.

Maybe even throw some Catapa leaves or botanicals in the sump! So far this setup is amazing, and it would be awesome if plants/elements of nature were also incorporated!

Plastic canvas mesh netting (most craft stores in embroidery section) it comes in several colors, white/black, etc. It would be easy to cut to size you need for preventing them from jumping. This would be an epic temporary fix and not block light. I love the tanks and your store!

Didn’t he mention he has salt in it? As far as I know (I’m no expert) plants are sensitive to salt, or are some more tolerant plants?

@@boniboni4912 I assume he is talking about aquarium salt, I’m no expert either, which is specifically for aquariums. I don’t know how it works or if plants are sensitive but I hope this helps.

Corey,Kobe, Taco man! You should 100% start shipping bettas!!!! You could be the king of the bettas! Just this video alone I would have spent over a 100.00 in them alone. Then you know you would sell a ton of Betta food if you had something exclusively your brand or your endorsement.

Id pay triple the price for the one with the mustache!

Frank betta is easy to get. There is more wild betta breeder out there beside frank. I import a lot and know many great seller

I’m a local betta breeder, and I’ve brought some boys in before and I was told they sold right away. I’ve emailed Robert at the team email about possibly bringing some more in if possible but I have not heard anything back

Many species of wild type bettas aren't aggressive at all.

Don't you mean it will look a lot betta with the products and things there 😉😉

Maybe pair the betta with a snail. That way the snail eats the algae and when the betta is purchased they come as a pair :)

Gorpse Mines The enclosures they are in are very small already, adding more bioload with a snail, which produce a ton of waste, doesn’t seem wise.

I love this setup. Two out of three of my Bettas are rescues from the pet store. They were in little cups. My koi female has improved drastically and my male has so much fun growth you wouldn’t even recognize him.
