We Used the MOST EXPENSIVE Sherwin Williams Interior Paint!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hey Gang! Wow it feels like we've been making some serious progress lately, and we don't plan on slowing down!
In this video we take our time and get the drywall dialed in as much as possible before our primer coat. We used PVA by Sherwin Williams, and it laid down beautifully. Smooth and great coverage. Followed up with a quick sand from our budget friendly sander, and 2 coats of Emerald from SW. Again, couldn't be more pleased with these Sherwin Williams products. Cameras do not do this paint job justice! Place is looking absolute incredible!

Excellent work gentlemen! It's hard to believe a year ago you were fighting with the elements trying to get the foundation and grey beam done. What a journey. You should be very proud.

Paul taking the effort to get the edges just perfect? Love it. Definitely a labor of love even if it is a garage. A great job will go unnoticed while mistakes stick out like a sore thumb

Sherwin Williams makes the best paint on the market today. I was told by a professional painter to look for a high percentage of aluminum dioxide in the paint. That is why Sherwin Williams paint are more expensive, but it is worth it.

I did that about 2 months ago too. Lots of videos, but was so cool seeing the whole thing from start to where they are now!
“Dad loves cleaning buckets.” LOL. 😂🤣
Can I just say the production value is on point! It’s very cool having watched your channel for years to see the progression. You guys really are pros. Thanks for all you do.

I liked the "Wilhelm Scream" at around 20:56 (during the garage sanding). 👍👍 FYI: The Wilhelm Scream was first heard in the 1951 film "Distant Drums." It has since been used in hundreds of films, including Star Wars. •••
My wife loves me watching these videos. You guys motivate me to do something off of the ‘honey do’ list. 😂 keep up the great work, love this build.

WE are so proud & impressed! Not too long ago there was a huge mud puddle & now there's a BIG ASS BEAUTIFUL GARAGE! FKN AWESOME! Can't wait to see the house build start! Be calm Jordan...it's on it's way! Great job guys!
Hey guys, I love the channel! Home Inspector here in Fort Worth but I grew up north of Houston. I can honestly say your channel has made me a better home inspector and I’m seriously grateful. Loving this journey with y’all
Paul and the crew are great ❤ I just upgraded my panel from 100amp to 200amp service and had to go through a new transformer and the engineering process ( 2 months) with Consumers Energy here in Essexville, Michigan. It took around a month for my electrical contractor, Escon corp, to get the job scheduled, and it was done in about 5 hours from start to finish, including the inspection from the Township. I was lucky because the new transformer didn't cost anything extra 😊.
One of my favorite things about a build is how it starts off everything is oppressively bright in full sun all day, then you build up walls and there’s some shade and then a roof and it’s suddenly very dim, but as you add the drywall and the paint the whole space brightens up. 😊
it's cool to see the journey, but make sure you keep adding the "how-to" bits. i'd like to know more about your paint setup, how you chose it/details on equipment, any technique you're learning, ppe considerations, etc.
When you are sanding, mark the spots with a pencil so you know where you need to come back and mud. Much easier to see the spots. I had a guy use a pen to mark them. The problem is that it bleads through the paint. The pencil makes covering with paint easy.
So glad you’re using PVA sealer. A great and inexpensive way to seal drywall. None of that primer and paint in one crap. All paints prime small patches but not an entire surface and it is also way more expensive than just primer. Been following you guys since early in LA. Keep up the good work and keep pumping out those great videos! 👍🏼

Prime. Find your imperfections, fix, sand, paint! Sand everything primed!!!
I beat you guys! LOL Been working on my 420 sq.ft Tiny House as long as you been building the dream house. Lol ! Seriously still have to do all my trim and blocking up the outside, and cut out kitchen sink and hooking it up! But I did move in on April fools, No joke! I went with all white and my trim will be dark brown so it will definately make the sherwin Willams white Satin pop! Have enjoyed watching your videos in between working on tiny house , and on those days I felt sluggish ,I watch your videos and it always seem to motivate and inspire me , not to mention when I pull up your videos on whatever I would be doing next and got all of those tips! Thank you guys and keep up the good work. Tomarrow I gotta cut out the Wood countertop for the kitchen sink It is giving me a fit today I had to start over with laying it out, found a mistake before I cut it , it may have worked but when it cost $510 and is 1 of a kind I get alittle nervous ! LOL! I was alittle close to the front cabinet edge and so I moved it in quarter of an inch. I watched your cabinet install video and it helped allot! So THANKS AGAIN! SEE YOU ON THE NEXT VIDEO!!
Paul, add this to your finishing armament...3M 2.5 in. x 4.5 in. x 1 in. 120 Fine Grit Pro Grade Angled Drywall Sanding Sponge. This is the green/aqua sanding sponge found at HD. Eliminates the hassles in the two way or three way corners. Found this out from Vancouver Carpenter channel. He is an absolute master teacher for drywall finishing and error corrections, or "how do I possibly fix THAT??". Also happens to be a pretty good skateboarder to boot. The sponges aren't really cheap, but they last and really save time and frustration in the corners. Great job by all you guys 👍👍👍.
Sherwin Williams 7005 (aka Pure White) in their Captivate line… I don’t want to think about how many gallons of this I’ve bought. All of our ceilings and painted millwork are done in this color on our home restoration project. The results have always been amazing for all of their paints.
The quality of paint has changed so much in my life time. 40 yrs, 20yrs paint has gotten so much better. The price has sadly gotten 10X higher, but I will admit- paint has gotten so much better, and stronger.
You guys videos are so good! The production quality, angles, time-lapses, narration, even the music, and all layered on riveting content. You guys should get a full on TV show!
Enjoy the heck out of your guy’s videos! Always cracks me up when you do things like, when you yell when you hit a bug lol! Entertaining! 😂😂😂 Love all your tips & tricks. Especially sharing your challenges & how to avoid or fix them!! Might consider throwing a light, one pass coat of primer on the bottom (back side) of your steps! Helps seal & more importantly deter any bugs, spider issues. Makes easy to see any critter-bugs on them!

Thanks Robert! We are going to drywall under the steps but left it open to install some stair lighting 👍💪
Regarding the corner with the tear. A friend of mine who is a builder by trade said that any everything in a wooden house is bound to move and set once you move in and start using it. So cracks and tears are bound to occur around trim and in corners. He even went as far as to say that if you can wait don't put up the trim until 6-12 months after you have moved in.
Amazing what y’all have accomplished since you broke ground a little over a year ago! Coming up on the finish line now!
Get that ladder off my wall!!!😂😂😂 @25:25. Awesome job.
SOOOOOO happy for you guys! GREAT WORK!
Great job, guys!
Looking good all.
I love that y’all covered the receptacle and switch boxes with paper before priming and painting. Kudos! Every production home I’ve seen, they just spray right over the wires inside the box. Makes for a very sloppy install. It’s looking sooo good, guys! 👊🏼
Whew! Lot of work. Looking good.
Love it!!! Can't believe you've done almost of this with just the three of you. Look forward to each new video. Keep 'em coming!!!
Heck yeah!! Looks great guys
You are so right about the paint. I’ve learned (the hard way) to buy the best paint you can afford. I stopped buying paint at the big box stores and only buy at paint shops where they have solid people working there and sell the best products. I’ve found that even name brand to name brand, stay away from buying paint at the big box stores. Besides, dealing with local paint stores helps a local business person. Nice work guys!
You guys are awesome
You guys are doing a great job! After 45 years of doing this myself, I'm glad to see you being very particular about everything! Using the top line is very important but you want to make sure the product doesn't flash when you're doing touch ups. I hated repainting entire walls for one ding.
Looking good guys can't wait to see it all done!
Love the lighting and of course the exceptional work being done thank you 😊

Since watching your channel I’ve borrowed the phrase “dialed in”, love the conciseness of it plus never hear it from anyone else at work.
Man you guys are BEAST!!!! killing it wow that looks good. Love the videos.
Man, this garage is coming together. Good job, Yall!
love to see your progress, and thank you for working your butt off to give us many entertaining videos
What an awesome change primer and paint made.
One of my favorite KZread channels!!! Love it when I see a new post!
Love the tall ceiling on the second floor!
Waiting to paint the stairwell is a great idea. I do something similar on bathrooms. I always get some thinset on the walls. If it's not painted, it's bad to wipe off because it messes with the mud, but if I've painted it then I'm getting thinset residue on the paint. So I prime and paint one coat, then come back after tile and paint the final coat.
Wow! It's got paint! It's coming together!
That was a lot of work. Congrats. Looks good guys.
Nice work!
What a transformation!
Good call on the corner trowel..I also hate it. Used it once and ended up in the recycling bin. Love the vacuum sander. I have the conventional one without the vacuum. Works great but sure does leave a lot of dust. I'll certainly invest in the one you used. Great paint job guys.
Nice job paint job on the upstairs and the garage they look amazing. Can't wait to see main house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s going to be one white ceiling! Great job ! Everyone!😊
The progress looks awesome!! 👍
Had a chance to drive past the other day when I was in the area. It looks AMAZING. Everything blends so well with the neighborhood. Love what you guys do.
Great stuff, fellas! I’m looking forward to seeing how you’re trimming out the windows and doors!!
Watching this and flashing back to the rain soaked foundation dig- that wasn’t too long ago but is epic how far you have come
It looks great... You're moving along and the attention to details really makes a difference in the final product
Being able to spray makes it so much faster to paint, looks great

Loving it, keep on truckin'. BTW, the scaffolding has paid for itself a hundred times over. Thanks for sharing
Seeing that mayfly get wiped out by the sander and hearing the Wilhelm scream was hilarious. Less hilarious is nearly drenching my keyboard with a spit take.
Looking good fellas
