The Wrangler could drive anywhere, but the Cayenne was the best for the elements. I'm sure that Tyler was miserably frozen, and Freddy.....it's a miracle he made it that far on those tires.

Cayennes and touregs have a "rest" button. It runs a small electric coolant pump and the heater fan to keep the vehicle warm after it's shut off. Great feature all cars should have.

As someone who has driven an old Jeep Wrangler soft top thru 10 of the worst snow and winters Michigan has to offer I can say the only reason Tyler was cold is because he is too stupid to put the top on and turn the heat on high.

The heater in Jeeps is no joke.

I was really intrigued by the premise of this season, 3 cars $30k budget. A realistic achievable budget for many. The cheat cars spoiled it a bit for me. I still enjoyed it, but would have enjoyed it much more with less 'cheating'

Ditto. I am less thrilled with the 'cheating.' Especially since they are supposed to be advertising a car finding service. If they are unable to do that then maybe the service is not that good.

Yeah it was worse that they where not even in the ballpark. 30k challenge with 60k in cars. This was too easy to do it right.

I agree. I get the bickering entertainment value but I wish the 'cheating' would have been 35k and not 60+k. Then they can still fight about it but ultimately still compete on a level playing field

One Stinkeye WRX could have done the job of all NINE of their cars and with mostly better results for less than $17k... Just think of all the mods that can be done with the leftover $13k. 🤔😎

I’m personally sick and tired of the cheating. It was fun at first, but like every single season they just take it too far. It really takes away from the whole experience. Like I understand going over a few hundred bucks or something. But come on. Thousands? It just ruins the whole premise of the show all together

I really do dig the look of the off-road Porsche. The fact that you picked it up for so cheap is just icing on the cake.

I agree, I really appreciate that Ed stayed to the budget and the spirit of the competition.

Was so happy to see this off-road 957 on the CarTrek episode, it came out awesome and can't wait to see how your 958 build comes out! I love my 957, it's been a blast taking it off-road and just general road trips. Great combination of luxury and capability while they're at an pretty affordable cost... for now... 😂

This CarTrek was fantastic. Can't wait for the newer season, would love to see more guest appearances too

I was sad after watching the last two episodes and knowing this had already been sold and moved on. Such a killer looking cayenne. Definitely didn't think I'd look that good. Glad to hear another one is in the works

I always love each Car Trek episode and season 6 was no exception. I hope you guys went into the snow generally prepared behind the scenes for that kind of thing. If not at least no one was seriously injured and you take it as a lesson in how quick things can turn for the worse and prepare better in future adventures.

Ed you were epic in this episode. Freddy was brilliant for choosing cars I totally forgot about. Tyler was hilarious. Let's not get bogged down with the stress of snow driving, looking forward to the next series (no pressure).

That Cheyenne you had on car trek was the best looking one I have ever seen. I have always been a fan of Porsche Cheyennes and always knew they were reasonably capable in bad weather but I never considered what they would be like if built as a dedicated all terrain vehicle like you built. Now I am going to have to built one for myself.

I spotted the Cayenne on Sunday in FL. This makes more sense now knowing it was sold.

when I moved to the states my boss sold me a 2003 touareg. I don't remember the exact price, but I paid like 4000 bucks and that was way under the KBB price. I think my boss just wanted to give me a hand and know that his SUV would be in good hands. I gotta say I was afraid because I knew they were expensive to fix, but it was a beast. I still remember the smell, it had that leather smell that old audi car have and it felt nice. Never took it off road really except to snow which it performed great. Ended up trading in for a ford escape which was also a great car, but I never felt so important as when I drove the touareg.

The Tregs and Cayennes are beasts off-road!!!!

I went on a Toys 4 Tots Rally with this Porsche recently with David Lockhart behind the wheel and it had no problem keeping up with a buncha supercars and look right at place doing so. I also have some wicked content of it from the rally.

I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro but honestly all I use it for it trail driving and family camping. Seeing this has me looking at trading it for a 2016 or so Cayenne diesel. Way more range, better economy, more torque, and WAY more comfort. People will tell me I'm crazy, but I'm still thinking about it.

The Car Trek 6 Cayenne is a legend.

Stinkeye WRX is the answer to the whole Car Trek 6!!! It's a sports car sedan that would have destroyed the others on the drag strip and track with 3 pedals, and could have gone nearly as far up the mountain as the Jeep with proper mods. Considering one can be bought for around $12-17k... 😁😎

This was my favorite car of CarTrek 6.

Yeah that Cayenne budget blew me away. It DOES NOT look like a $5000 Porsche... Most notably because of the amazing paint job and aftermarket add-ons. Great job. They're probably all sold out now or going for 30% more

What a time frame? It's cool seeing where I used to get enjoy working, but im genuinely surprised it took such a short time. I've seen him do it in less than 24hrs though. Very happy seeing this; I really miss that job.

Off-road episodes were the best so far.

I've been looking at used Cayennes for a while because they're surprisingly affordable Porches, and what you guys did with the offroader really made me start looking harder at them. Probably be my next car project.

The Offroad part of this season Car Trek was the best part of all of them till now. It was exciting, it was not to "over-acted" and entertaining from this first to the last minute.

I'm a Jeep guy, but I so wanted to see more of that Porsche and what it was really capable of! Thanks for showing it off, coolest ride of that series...

FINALLY!!! I have a 2006 Cayenne S with a salvage title that I use for every day off-roading and have struggled for years to find any off road accessories for it!! Can’t wait to get started on my dream off road build!! It’s got a great motor and trans just need basic off road accessories

Set up some rules for how the car(s) will be purchased through AutoTempest and enter the Gumball 3000 rally and let these guys work together to see how far they can make it. The Gumball 3000 for 2022 Rally is from Toronto to Havana 27 May - 3 June.

Up there at St John's Pass in Breckenridge Colorado during the first snowfall of the year is the perfect time to go climbing up in the mountains spent three years driving my 95 ZJ around up in those mountains

Before I saw car trek 6, (it was most enjoyable thank you) I had never before wanted a Porsche Toerag. That thing looked awesome. It looked pretty capable too. More things should be Orange. I drove a banana yellow Range Rover classic for a bit. That thing turned heads...

Enjoyed all the series of Cartrek. Was very anxious watching Freddy sliding down the road. He seriously could have slid off down the mountain. Please don't ever do anything that dangerous again. You are a great story teller. How anyone doesn't like how you tell stories seriously has issues. You are one of the best story tellers on vinwiki. Travis and Doug are right there with you as top story tellers. What's not to love about all 3 of your storytelling?

Now a cheap one is 20k. A good one 30-50k. The cayenne is the best car i have ever driven. Such a beast. I love the orange btw.

I'm excited to see the '15, I have a '14 Cayenne Diesel and absolutely love it! On daily trips I average 30mpg. I also took a long road trip and was able to get to 700miles on one tank. Couldn't ask for more.

Saw the orange Cayenne a few weeks back in Daytona Beach. It looks so good for what Ed had into it!

That's a small premium to pay for not having to mess with all those parts and the conversion and paint job. Great deal still at $32, even if it's a bit of a stinker. I'd have a detailer go nuts with that and then blow fresh dry mountain air throught it for a month if I needed to.

The og Cayennes/Touaregs are amazing offroaders with amazing on road comfort and power. Such underestimated cars. The newer gens don't have a proper 4wd anymore though

I had hoped you would have teamed up with The Fast Lane KZreadrs up in Boulder to have them judge your off road vehicles. Roman and Tommy would have been a great add to the channel and a welcome relief from Mr. Ficarra. I think with the overlander craze, a BMW X3/X5, Land Rover, and Range Rover should be the next series. Dual purpose daily and overlander challenge. The opportunity for disaster lurking around every corner with that trio should be, let's just say, above average.

The off-road episodes were the best! And you stayed within the budget. 😄
