We have gotten Jake's many times. It's a great option while staying there. Basic fare, but good, and easy, and decent hours. We did Mama Della's at PB and did not enjoy it at all. Love the Kitchen at HR. Breakfast and burgers.

I've never actually stayed at any Universal hotels but, I'm staying at Surfside for a couple days the first week of December. Hopefully, I have a chance to eat at the hotel!! Do you guys have any recommendations for hotels to stay in for my future visits?

My husband loves eating at all-you-can-eat places (he’s all about spending just enough for maximum amount of food lol). When we stayed at The Royal Pacific, he was so happy to hear they had a breakfast buffet! We would wake up early, eat as much as we could for breakfast, and walk it off on the way to the parks. And from there we would just have a snack or two. I felt we saved so much money on food since we weren’t hungry after breakfast lol. I LOVE their mango and guava juice and the fact they were all-you-can-drink as well was icing on the cake~

That really is a good way to save money! We were telling someone about the buffet and how it really felt like we saved money because we simply didnt eat in the parks after all that food! It seems expensive at first, but we honestly think we spent less!

Glad that you posted this cause I watched another vid that said the dinner in the same dining room was kinda icky. Also we usually stay at Dockside Endless summer resort, and like their easy breakfast cafe area. It looked as though the breakfast options at Royal pacific were limited. So I’m glad they provide this.

It was really good! Some of the best eggs off of a buffet we’ve had!

After watching your video, we reserved a table at 7am last Tuesday and were the only ones at the buffet until about 7:30. This buffet was absolutely amazing and we will definitely eat here again on our next trip. The fruit was so fresh, the pancakes were awesome, and there was an amazing variety to choose from. A little pricey, but worth every penny! Thanks for the suggestion!

We are so happy that you enjoyed it! We had a great mean there as well and although it was a little pricey, we weren’t really that hungry in the parks for most of the day so it evened out!

I agree with y’all. When going to Orlando parks spending 52 bucks that’s a single dinner reservation at Biergarten in epcot. So for a buffet that’s crazy affordable and I too prefer waffle land my friends.

We 100% should have! We were pretty hill the entire day and spent way less money in the parks on food vs normal!

Waffles are my choice. I agree 26.00 for an all you can breakfast is not bad at all. I love that they have an omelette station. Thank you for the video well done. We r staying there in February 2022. Will definitely do breakfast there.

We' ve eaten the breakfast buffets at Saphire Falls and Cabana Bay and they both were very delicious. Well worth the money and the amount of food consumed carried us through until supper time at Toothsomes

Nice review of the buffet, the price is normal for a hotel breakfast Buffet, one day you will have try Hash House A Go Go, just have to go early as the wait can reach 60+ minutes for a table. But their breakfast is awesome. I am a Pancake but with the rise in Chicken & Waffles, that is hard to pass up, Maple syrup on Chicken did not sound appealing, but is great. Also love the Frosted Flakes, they were my favorite growing up! Ken

We love RP breakfast. Best way to start a long day. I can't say no to the mimosas tho... We stay there often, so one day I will do the buffet, and another I will order their waffle. So good.

Absolutely! We always try to take things for what they are! Buffets are rarely incredible experiences, but some are definitely better than others!

Another great vid! I heard you guys talking about a ticket deal for universal (buy 2 get 1 or something like that) on the Friendsgiving stream but can’t find anything online. Any idea if this is still a thing?

Do you have a premier universal hotel preference? Which is your favorite hotel and why? I'm having a hard time deciding. Planning my first trip for me and my husband this June. They all look so nice! Hey Morgan. Our favorite is Hard Rock for sure. Its less than a 5 minute walk to the parks and its where we got Married so we are partial! All the premier hotels (Royal Pacific, Portofino, Hard Rock) are really nice and offer less than 10 minute walks to the parks. They also have water taxis which take about 3-4 minutes at most!

We love Hard Rock because of how close it is to the parks! It’s less than a 5 minute walk which makes it super convenient especially for HHN!

We hope you have an amazing time! That’s a really good question. We have never been when the parks were opening at 7, so we would assume then only options might be at the parks themselves!

Me and my wife are going up in December and tried to stay at that hotel but we waited until last minute to reserve the hotel. Instead were staying at Aventura. We were at Cabana bay for halloween horror nights and loved their cafeteria style restaurant there.

You will enjoy Adventura as well! We don’t like it as much as Royal Pacific or Cabana Bay, but honestly, none of the hotels on site are bad! We hope you have an amazing time!

Jason, if you end up at Portofino, I’d love to know what you think. We are there (for the first time ever in Orlando for me) next year. I have seen people say that RP is their favourite Universal hotel and All Ears has a video of Mollie staying there. Portofino won for us when we booked because it looks so much like Italy; we thought it would feel like a holiday within a holiday, if that makes sense?

@@lovejohandmade we have stayed at Portofino and loved it. If you go and look up a photo of Portofino Bay in Italy it is just like it except there are mountains behind the one in Italy and a few more boats in the bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They also have more than one pool and the water taxi ride into Citywalk and Universal is delightful, it is pretty, quiet and romantic looking. I think you will enjoy it.

Price is a bit high but looks like a vacation must do

wow were at Cabana Bay over thanksgiving and flew home Sunday morning. would have been cool to say hello to you! The Bayliner Cafe at Cabana Bay is pretty good. it's not a buffet. The Omelets are also made to order and are very decent for the price. The park was PACKED on Friday after thanksgiving.

Hey there! It is absolutely not mandatory and there wasn’t even a tip jar at that location. Some people tip in all circumstances but at this particular location, it was not requested or expected!

Hi, as a Brit, can I ask about tipping etiquette at a Breakfast buffet? We don't tip here (unless at a dinner restaurant and not everyone tips there). What would be expected at a buffet? I noticed that people had left cash at the omelette station (I also had no idea that we spell omelette differently!) The world of tipping in general scares me. I don't want to give too little, or not be aware that it is expected at bell services, housekeeping, restaurants etc. Love you guys. And 100% waffles! 👍

Hey there! So tipping etiquette is quite strange over here in the US. The omelette station actually didn’t even have a tip jar or anything Of that nature, some people just like to tip on most occasions. As far as dining and the server that you have, we generally follow a 20%+ but it can vary especially at a buffet. A good rule of thumb is 15% but it is always up to your discretion!

It was really good for a buffet!

Definitely waffles but they need Nutella, berries, whipped cream the whole nine! Basically, it must have your entire days worth of calories!

Dang I wanna cry…. I wanted to try it but we a family on budget so I believe 26 is to high for us :(

@@ThePughTwo thank you. We plan to bring our food for breakfast and snacks and eat one large meal in the evening to help cut down on cost.

They are both good! We just love all the syrup holders on waffles lol!

In October for Halloween Horror Nights I stayed at Royal Pacific I was so disappointed I wish the whole time I was at Cabana Bay. Royal Pacific food is horrible it was old and still and our server was high all week. The hotel itself has ran down and it wasn't up to par from what everyone says about the resort. But the buffet was disappointing I even bought off of the buffet menu with her like famous like tropical pancakes they put gross stuff on my pancake I couldn't even eat it. And they're like grab-and-go is the worst thing I've ever seen at a resort. I had to go to Hard Rock before going into the park overall their food options suck their grab-and-go sucks the resort has just ran down.

We haven’t eaten much at the resort so we hate hearing this. We are sorry you had a bad experience at Royal Pacific. We do really enjoy the food at Cabana Bays diner so we can see hope other food might not be as good! Hopefully your next stay is a better experience!
