I like the idea of the Syd and the OTV gang exploring local LA county events like this! So many people don't get to see this side of LA. As someone who grew up in and around LA this video made me very happy.

Thai fans here, you guys need to visit us somedayy!! and so glad that you enjoy our food. PS: The fried balls toast said are actually fried sweet potato dough balls called "khai nok kratha," which means quail's egg, as the size of the dough ball is roughly the same size as that of a quail's egg.

I love papa scarra being in charge of the tickets and handing them out as they go and then him carrying the goose for Lily at the end 🥺

If you're going to Vlog, just record what you like to do and see. That's what people want to watch. Asking your audience for ideas isn't a bad thing, but you should definitely focus on your own entertainment before ours because your entertainment is what brought people here in the first place. The stuff that were fried are fried Thai bananas. They also had fried taros/pumpkin/other veggies. The fried ball is a chewy fried dough that translates to "ostrich egg". It's usually best to eat when it's hot. I'm glad you guys got to try all sorts of Thai food!

Wat Thai in Noho is also a great spot for Tahi food, the market gets set up on the weekend and they've got lots of food you might not find in a lot of Thai restaurants in LA.

omg when i was walking around hollywood with my friends a month ago, we also happened upon this night market and it was soooo good, as a lao person i was very happy hehe, glad u guys enjoyed!!

I love Phad Kra Pao (the dish you ate that was supposed to be spicy)! And Khao Soi is amazing too. So nice you get to experience a bit of Thai street food there. The music heard in the background was legit too.

The fried dough balls are called ขนมไข่เต่า it’s basically fried dough balls that have a light sweet taste, the second fried item was a fried banana usually lightly battered and topped with sesame seeds after frying
