In mandarin its 馄饨 which is pronounced a bit like huandun. Wonton comes from the cantonese wantan

The oyster omelet at Ning Xia is actually legendary, I have not found another place that beats it in Taipei! So glad you managed to try it and enjoyed it, most tourists are put off by it visually T^T It's actually one of the foods I think is heavily underrated in Taiwan :')
