Je vous adore! Your channel is wonderful and helping my husband and I plan our first trip to Paris next year. Since I will retire before he will, I hope to live in Paris for 2 -4 weeks in my lifetime. Please do more videos on other cuisines and cultures in Paris (Jewish Quarter - Marais area delis, African and Italian cuisine, etc). Would also like to see the various parks, churches, mosques, synagogues and jazz clubs if open. You're global ambassadors and I'm so proud of you both. Merci!

Paris has a couple of Asian centers. Arts and Metiers is one but also Belleville as well as Tolbiac and Opera (Rue Saint Anne). . There is an expensive and authentic Japanese yakiniku restaurant as well as Korean shops.

Thank you for this information. I was sure that Parisians know about good East Asian food. Perhaps similar to most westerners they are reluctant to spend more money for it. In the past decade the US gained several high end Japanese restaurants (including the celebrity chain, Nobu) and due to the popularity of sushi people are willing to pay more for Japanese food, but even in the US there are very few high end Chinese restaurants. Expensive and authentic Chinese food is scarce in Paris (for example, there is no Hakkasan even though Madrid has one). I read that a Chinese food emporium (based on New York's Eataly) will open in the Louvre in 2024 that could elevate awareness and interest.

its the spices they use and the sauces. I noticed that asian food in Paris tastes totally different from here in America. we have thick sugary orange sauces for sweet and sour and they have a more liquidy brown tamarind thing going on for sweet and sour. it definitely FEELS more healthy when you eat it...not knocking our sugar-gravy, sometimes a good fatty piece of pork deep fried and coated in orange syrup can be pretty darn good. I also love the way Chinese Dim Sum bakeries stack their eggrolls and little-bites in cute pyramids, etc..as you walk by you cant help but look at everything.

If there is anywhere in the world other than Vietnam where people should know how to pronounce pho it is France. Not just because Vietnam was once a French colony but arguably the name of the dish comes from the French pot au feu.

Looks like fusion cuisine. Some ingredients are a mish mash of different cuisines. Imagine the horror I look at Chinese offerings while I lived in Hobart, Tasmania during my academic days. It’s a trade off of what most considered as Asian cuisine but seriously it isn’t. Real authentic cuisines are more complicated and yet simplistic as it is. A simple bowl of beef pho doesn’t need a truffle infusion, for example. 😂
