We had the pleasure of taking an all-new RADAR RD6 for a test drive.
RADAR is China's first pure electric outdoors lifestyle vehicle brand. The brand was announced just earlier this year.
RADAR RD6 is a medium-sized pickup double-cab truck. The RD6 is based on Geely's Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA). This platform allows for rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive variants of the RD6. Radar says the RD6 has a range of 600 kilometers and does 0-100 in six seconds.

Right Hand Drive is now available in Thailand as a test car.
ID LOVE TO HAVE ONE RIGHT NOW. The delay for the Cyber truck, Rivian and Lightning is disappointing and the range and price are spot on. I believe they'd sell millions of them here in the states!
I love this truck to drive around in California traffic
I've done alot of studying every truck midsize I can think of..and I keep.coming back to the radar rd6. no other truck compairs to what it has for the price

YES!!! I can't wait! And I don't need a 4s to 100 kmh truck, but I would like AWD for slippery conditions. So just a small electric motor on the second axle would be all I need. Don't care about fast!

Not everyone needs a vehicle as big as the Ford F150 lightning. This would be most suitable to compete with ranger & Toyota Hilux size vehicles. 👍 it's all I need for a daily drive to the work site with my tools

Yes we agree. We also believe that Radar has a huge potential
I might be tempted here in Canada, it not as our main vehicle again because 500 km range is about one way to anywhere when you don’t live in the big city. Add -40c or -40F and the battery range has to drop. That being said, if it was priced +$10 less than any other truck and there was some support network for warranty and repairs I might bite the bullet & purchase one.

Been a contractor in Vancouver Canada for 30 years with gas at 2.70/ ltr ($10.37/gallon) I am happy to trade in my Detroit Dinosaur for anything more efficient and better built

tbh anything electric is even better to the levels not even mentioned, eg: your clothes won't smell like fuel.

Norwegian market is an important one for this type, 4WD is needed because of the weather, but for sure in Norway can pay for that. and don't forget to gift me one when you sell 1000 Radar in Norway in less than a year.

that is exactly what I am looking for .... I understand the base model is somewhere around 26k .... will it ever come to the USA ? I hope so .... I currently own a tundra but with gas is so high I drive my Honda fit for the mpg .... I would like to get rid of those and buy a small truck like the radar .... so when will it be here ?

Battery swapping should be added to all EV pickups IMHO for towing... Which is already part of Geely's wheelhouse....

@@China_UNCUT Geely's already doing battery swapping. So the primary engineering was already done.... And it seems to be a far more cohesive design than Geely's earlier, pickup models....

It needs sodium batteries for cold and hot climes. It also cuts down on cooling required for lithium batteries. Wouls love an SUV version.

Frankly, we didn't test that! But some sources say it has a payload capacity of 450 kg and supports 3,000 kg of towing.

Yes! Betterpanded price point than current !arket, great sunroom f, I'm too fucking short to love highs pocket American trucks.
Need that in USA
Yes a USA version would be nice, but we have a "Chicken Tax" on trucks outside the US (25% !!!). So it would have to be locally built or parts shipped from China to a US assembly plant (with the pieces still subject to duty -- but lower than the tax itself).
