It actually helps so much! I live in Canada and take warm showers daily &I suffer from like dry patches on face &I I sweat ALOT in like 10 degree weather . But I went to Colombia &a lol only cold water for 2 months! I wouldn't sweat in like 40 degree weather &a my skin became so healthy! It's insane what it can do

I started taking cold showers 1,5 months ago. If anyone wants to start, this is not the way to do it. Youre not supposed to jump straight into the freezing water. Start with room temperature and make your way up quickly. I'd say that cold showers can really benefit you. Good luck lol

Thats actually really good because the hot shower opens up your pores so you clean out all the dirt under your skin, and then the last half of your shower should be cold so you close those pores again.

Kank OG Pores do open and close, actually. It's how acne is formed. Breakouts mainly form after sweating because you sweat when you are hot and heat opens the pores, allowing dust and dirt and gross in. When you are in a cold environment then those pores close up, so it's good to take a hot-then-cold shower. Hot water, wash face thoroughly, then cold water.

I took a cold shower for two months while on holiday in Central America, because of how hot it was where I was staying. And let me tell you, on a hot day I would normally sweat and smell like BO, obviously. So I would have to reapply deodorant constantly. But after a few days of taking a cold shower, I would sweat (not as much) but I wouldn't smell like BO at all. So I didn't have to wear deodorant as much. Since deodorant is used to reduce BO. Anyways, no one probably cares aha.

I took a cold shower yesterday and I can honestly say I might be switching to them. I felt amazing after and while I was in the shower it just was so calming it feels like you’re in your own little world. Highly recommend to anyone!!

My shower is like 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit I think so it’s not that cold even though it’s on the coldest setting but for my first cold shower I just hopped right in on the cold setting and didn’t feel cold I felt nice

Unless your heater is broken, that's not likely. Though, since my dorm only turns on access to heat or A/C, and it's been cold off and on, and it's only September, they haven't switched it over yet, so it's cold inside too. Then cold showers make me shiver like Santa's workshop is near.

the skin part got me. i've been doing this for like a few days and got adapted to it but sometimes i took a hot shower so you just said better skin so I'm doing it

I’ve started doing cold showers, I used cold water but mixed in with a bit of hot water, so it wasn’t warm but it was colder than that, I will update you guys on how it goes!

Freddy A I’m getting more used to it now, my hair is as soft as ever and I do feel more energetic, it’s still hard to step in the cold shower at first but I’m getting more and more used to it. It is worth it but make sure you take 1 step at a time.

You have to start off with it warm, and then gradually turn it to cold, otherwise your body will get shocked if you immediately go into the cold...

I have to take cold/cool showers. I am extremely sensitive to the heat, you do get used to it. It's actually better for your hair and skin. Hot water is drying to them. It will also help you hydro bill.

Hot showers are more for like colds and after work outs when your muscles (inside n out) need to be relaxed and cold showers help to keep skin and hair healthy bc the cold doesn't have the potential to damage your hair like hot does. Not that any of that science stops me from taking hot as hell showers all the time. I like my loosened muscles more than perfect skin

Warm showers are good for muscle aches sometimes. It isn't that hot water is damaging to the hair and skin so much as the cold/cool water closes the cuticles of your hair and the pores of your skin to keep the moisture out.

If they think their cold showers are cold imagine cranking the knob as far as it goes during the Wisconsin winter! It feels awesome though.

The hot water heater in my house broke in January and I was forced to take cold showers for almost 2 months in freezing weather. It was pure hell. I've never appreciated hot water more
