That tile is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I both love that style BUT we live in a house that a tile like that won’t look good. We recently started a kitchen remodel and we decided to take the tile floor and see if there’s original hardwood as the rest of the house and IT IS ALLLL original 100 years old hardwood. I was so happy when we found it.

Oh, I so remember going through a similar identity crisis when I changed from my career as a crisis intervention counselor to being a SAHM and homeschool mom. 23 years later I'm now an empty nester, going through a new identity crisis lol! The floors are gorgeous.

From the moment I first saw this home online, I loved the living room. It had a pretty terra cotta colored paint, which was very warm and inviting. Now we have it (the color) on the floors. Very happy with how this space turned out!!

What are the little circle shapes on them? Like the darker color at the edges. I noticed it when your parents were cleaning the tiles but now that the floor is sealed you can see it more. Although it's beautiful that would drive me insane. 😢

Haha these would definitely not be the floors for you then. They are handmade and put out in the sun to dry. One even has a little dog foot print that I love. So the circles are variation in the clay color

@@EmilyGarbe I agree cause little things like that bother my anxiety. I was wondering if the prior owners just had them sitting in unideal conditions that caused damage especially with them not being sealed. It does not look like variant in clay. It's almost like they laid the brick to dry on one another by the corners. Creating the circles because in the inspiration picture there was no such thing. Either way, glad you're happy with the character.
