So what did Mrs Barry & I make of these? Well, I don't think you should be using a whisk on an orange any time soon and melting chocolate can be done way better easier ways, the risk of it seizing (like I think it did the first time) sort of made that a fail. But the food hack with the chopsticks, may mean a few more date nights at a sushi place!

I think the lettuce one was pretty good, can't believe i've not done that before with other things too! Remember we've got the 34 other (& growing!) kitchen hack testing videos on this playlist, have a watch and grab the popcorn! kzread.info/dash/bejne/nJh_2MGJhaiyaZM.html

while you're eating the popcorn, use chopsticks. It keeps your fingers clean, and you get easy practice on how to use them. I'm sure one bag and Mrs. B will be a pro.

Well do I remember his adventures in voltage with that grilled cheese toaster. It's a miracle he didn't end up like Marv from Home Alone 2. Still, they handled the marshmallow hack alright. I thought I was gonna have to play Fire Shaman from the Stardust Crusaders OST again, like I did when Barry gave that puny little toaster a good hard British 230V. (it might have been 240V, but the point stands that Barry gave that appliance a proper electronic rodgering)

Actually, we do. It was altered in early 2003. 230V, 50Hz. Most of Europe uses this system.

@@Okurka. In 1994, to remove a perceived barrier to trade between European countries, the European Commission (EC) decided to 'harmonise' the standard UK mains voltage of 240 V and the European standard of 220 V at 230 V. 230 Volts is the nominal Voltage In the UK, the tolerance for our electricity supply is 230 volts -6%, +10%. This gives an allowed voltage range of 216.2 volts to 253.0 volts.
This shows how good of a husband Barry is. All of these hacks were absolutely terrible but he was fully supportive and positive the whole time.
Mrs. B’s look when the lettuce falls off the counter 😂😂😂
I think that video of the orange and the whisk looks edited at the end when the segments fall out. I love how you keep it real in these videos about what hacks actually work or not!

He was holding the handle of the whisk. If you look at the video on the phone they showed, the person is holding the whacks down by the orange. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

@@Ranadkins Exactly it makes the wires tighter around the orange.
Butane torch is absolutely ideal for toasting marshmallows. Orange cutting thing is absolutely the typical social media hack: takes twice as long as the normal method, is more difficult than the normal method, and dirties twice as much stuff that needs washing. haha
Come for the hacks, stay for the wholesomeness. Love seeing your wife included in videos. Always makes me smile.
u know what barry, I have been watching you ever since phoebe and chloe were small, enjoyed your vlogs too. Now, I am in culinary school and I think you were one of those people who low key pushed me to cook, thank you and mrs b 🫶🏼
I'm calling these videos "gen z making life harder than it needs to be" part 35 lol
We need a Mrs B tshirt "Have you ever been in a situation where you need a Mrs B hack?"
Look at Mrs. B worried about a thumbnail. I'm so proud of her 😁😁
That orange whisk hack clip looked to me like they smashed the whisk with the orange down, and then did a cut to the segments on the board, the whisk starting to lift up.
The whisk one made me laugh so much I couldn’t breath and my cat climbed on my lap to see if I was okay 😂😅

Barry *smashing the whisk into the orange* 🤣
Your next video should be a chopstick hacks video find a way for mrs B to use them without getting an entire pack of noodles on them🤣🤣🤣
Might not wanna use that chocolate one! Just because the plastic packaging is food safe in room temperature doesn't mean it won't seep carcinogens/microplastics into the chocolate in nearly boiling water

Agree, Barry is a lucky fella.
Had a migraine all day and just woken up in time for this! My body knew!
I have never heard 4 consecutive Yeahs in a row and each time grow with enthusiasm. Love it
"Can I just say, with my toaster knowledge..." 😝 Barry should start a "Toaster knowledge"-series!
The problem with TikTok "hacks" is they don't show you the hundred attempts they made that didn't work. Thanks Barry for providing this valuable service!
Watched this video yesterday and my daughter out the chopstick hack to the test today, it was a complete success, keep the great videos coming 👍
I love Mrs.B, she's such a cutie!
Mrs B "Have you ever been in a situation, where" Me: "You've lost your keys and your mobile phone" One day, one day she will say it
If you have chocolate that you want to melt (without a microwave) using the tea kettle and the candy bar is in foil, just place it in a plastic sandwich bag and either seal it up. This would be good as well if you have a bag of morsels and only want to melt a portion of the bag.
Seeing the way you two are together on camera just warms up my heart. It’s so apparent how much you both love each other. Thanks for cheering me up while I’m sick. ❤
the orange and whisk one is ok but the end part faked, they cut the video where the whisk hit the top and then skipped ahead to where the orange segments were on the out side question is what can you cook inside a sandwich toaster? (NOT including sandwiches) ive done mashed potato, mashed sweet potato, pancakes, eggs, bacon, chicken breast, turkey breast, sausages...
Excellent 👌🏻 Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a great day everyone 🌻
i want to add something about the kettle hack, I actually melted chocolate with a similar method before. you boil the kettle, you place a heat-safe bowl on top of it and put the chocolate inside the bowl. voila!
LOL the outro made me think of Monty Python... "Some Photography....say no more, say no more! nudge, nudge, wink, wink!" LOL -- Love these hack videos, there are some bangers and some fails, but always fun to watch.
Who knew slicing an orange was such a whisky business 😂😂
Okay, better way to do smore's. Put them in the oven under the grill. You can fill a half sheet with about 10-12, so it works for a crowd Graham cracker, chocolate, marshmallow and just watch it so you know when it's "done" for you. Put the second cracker on top when done.
Haven't you done toaster marshmallows before or have I gone mad? (EP 26) Edit You've definitely done the chocolate one before, except it went into a pan of boiling water instead of the kettle. (EP 25)

Definitely s'mores with maxhmellow toaster trick
The orange would probably work with a really cheap flimsy whisk. It needs to be super flexable. The issue with the toaster is its not hot enough. You need to have enough heat to toast the outside before the inside gets hot. To little heat an the whole thing just melts.
I don't know if anyone ever suggested this but when I make meatloaf I use a gallon ziploc bag to mix hamburger, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, eggs & any other ingredients. Then squish/mix them together. Dump in baking dish & use the baggie to protect my hand as I'm mushing the meatloaf evenly in the baking dish. Toss the baggie. Easy clean up.
Love watching you two do these videos.
Right, OK, I have a question/suggestion. The scissor prongs. Think they'd suit being called "sprongs'? 🤣
loving the world of warcraft-y music during the marshmallow toaster hack
I had to go for a wee before the toaster part, the anticipation of another toaster fire would have been too much to hold it in... :P
Love these contents with you and Mrs Lewis
Line of the video "are you sure it's not the toast crumbs"!!!!🤣
Tell Mrs.B to wrap an elastic band around the end of her chopsticks. It real does work
There are actual gadgets to help people learn how to use chopsticks. They look a bit like clothes pegs but are essentially tubes on a hinge. That'd be helpful for Mrs. B. Then you won't have to "knit" noodles or stab sushi.
Mrs. B can use her hands to eat the sushi. That is how you eat them in Japan not with chopsticks, but noodles you can't use your hands. Chopsticks are actually easy to use but yes a fork is the easiest.
Headphone users beware hahaha of the foil lmao! These were good!
I have roasted marshmallows over a candle before. It works pretty well.
"Photograqphy? Snap, snap, grin, grin, wink, wink, say no more?"
Great video as always Barry and Mrs B 🙂
lol that orange, you can literally see the jump cut in the 5minutecrafts video
Maybe put a piece of aluminum foil on top of the toaster to prevent the marshmallow from dropping down into the toaster. I love your hack videos!
Barry deserves a million subscribers!
In regard to the video with the orange and the whisk: When the segments fell out I would put money that it's a smash cut so it looks like it works
I toast my marshmallows over a candle. Can only do one at a time but fun when sat watching a film or something.
3:00 i never have that much trouble cutting oranges, i just peel them and rip the sections off.
For the orange hack, I saw a minor blip in the video. Don't think they popped the slices out by banging on the counter.
For the orange one, there is a very obvious and clear cut to a precut orange, they then hold the whisk over.
This has to be the funniest video yet.. loved it 🤩
Tip for the marshmallows in the toaster get them sandwich bags gets some biscuits put a marshmallow in and chocolate and another biscuit and you can do it that way aswell
Noooooo! Not a toaster hack 🚨 🚨🚨🚨 🔥
it's kinda funny when i watch these videos since my last name is in fact Hack! fun to see you for example writing it with chocolate! Keep up the great vidoes Barry, i've watched you for a very long time and i look forward to many more videos
Mrs. B! I know why chopsticks don’t work for you, it’s because you use a quadridigital (four-finger) grip on a pen or pencil. Try to focus on using a tridigital grip, and you’ll have better success.
As someone who's terrible with a knife, the orange+whisk hack looks like the dumbest idea since Liz Truss for PM.
Have you ever been in a situation where if you hear someone say, "have you ever been in a situation" one more time you're gonna scream?
"now I've scissored it" oo err missus 😳
You've inspired me to try roasting marshmallows in my kebob rotisserie lol
Have you ever been in a situation where you lit a toaster on fire and your wife wont let you live it down?😂
6:38 we call that Iceberg salad :D
lots of the hacks are just editing tricks. like the orange somehow magically is fully below the whisk when it's slapped down lol
@Alex Davis you are one tough cookie having such frequent migraines and still functioning! Get better soon 😊

Love you guys! Thanks for the amazing videos! Many blessings to you and your family ❤️
the popcorn? I liked that one
Love these ones 👏
It seems a bad idea to dissolve the glue from the chocolate package and then squeeze it out to. Not to mention it doesn't seem safe to boil plastic with a lot of printed images if you plan on eating the chocolate afterwards.
Okay I highly doubt I'd melt chocolate like that all the time but if I have a bar in the cupboard it could make it so easy to fancy up some cupcakes or something quick.
If you are scared of a toaster life could easily become somewhat a challenge in modern day Britain 😄
Mrs B will never forget your skills with toasters
You should try s’mores in a waffle cone. Wrap it in foil & bake for about 10 minutes. They are AMAZING and less messy for kids. I recommend using mini marshmallows instead of regular size. And you can use any chocolate. (Chocolate with caramel inside is awesome too)
That toaster hack really made me nervous🙀🥴
Don’t be ashamed Mrs B., I have to ask for a fork too when I go to an Asian food joint! I just can’t master the chopsticks… Everything falls off them and I go hungry and frustrated 😟😩
Saw the whisk and orange and my mind went to the egg hack they tried last
I tried the aluminum foil hack, worked like a charm.
The hack with the lettuce: If you have a sieve with elongated slots instead of holes, simply put it over the lettuce and cut through the slots.
And that thrown away lettuce went on to beat Liz Truss
Have you tried a small fan by your chopping board when chopping onions ? All the crying will be blown away xx. Chris from the Isle of Wight
I think your first chocolate bar got some of the water in it so it started to seize. You can kinda rescue seized chocolate by spreading it thinly and letting it cool, then scrape it into chunks and you got your own flake bar.
I always wonder when these come up... do rolls of cling film and foil, in the UK, not come in boxes with little cutters on the side? I have never had an issue with either not rolling out whole and cutting clean...
@GeekyGamerdm
Жыл бұрын
You can buy them in a box in the UK, the issue is some brands just leave a rough zigzag pattern in the box making it a pain.
@Amethyst1919

@@GeekyGamerdm wow... never knew the metal cutter wasn't an international standard thing...
I can't believe you've never mentioned Anne Reardon, she has a youtube channel and debunks a lot of these hacks and the companies that put out fake/dangerous ones
Am I crazy? I thought he did the marshmallows toaster thing before.
I always use a candle 🕯 when I roast marshmallows, so easy
Can always rely on Barry to cheer me up🥰
The second toasters mentioned means things are getting good 😁
Gee Baz, set fire to ONE toaster ONE time and you never live it down..
My Grandson's did this when their Mom my daughter was out of the room and our house cought on fire the whole house had to be rebuilt they were 6 and 3 I will never let them forget it and today they are 23 & 21
You can see the jump cut on the orange video.
have you ever been in a situation where you want to open a jar, but the lid's stubborn? take a pair of tinsnips, and make a small cut on the side of the lid. this should loosen it. if it doesn't, just make another cut, and eventually the lid will admit defeat.
You've done the marshmallows over the toaster before but with a slightly different method. The previous census was it was too melty.
I thought this was a family friendly channel and then you go and do that with the marshmallows over your mouth mate 😂
another lettuce hack is to slam it on the worktop core side down also works with cauliflower and broccoli
I think the orange hack was a wire head massager not a whisk
There are so many easier and safer ways of toasting marshmallows, that I don't know why you'd bother with this one. Toasting over a candle or under the grill are probably the easiest or over the embers at the end of a BBQ (most similar to a campfire).
I think I would feel safer toasting the graham cracker in the toaster, then putting the marshmallow and chocolate between the hot grahams.
