I can definitely see the exhaust LED gadget getting used by some people, but I see a major flaw with it: heat. Having those tiny exposed wires and cheap LEDs on something that gets super hot is just going to cause everything to melt.

The concept would be a lot cooler if it was a ring of LEDs in a ring that surrounds, but doesn't touch, the exhaust pipe. It is the physical attachment to the pipe that turns it into an inevitable issue when the heat burns it up over time. The heat is already bad enough on exhaust pipes, which is why they are frequently the first parts to just spontaneously fall off.

Regarding the blue LED exhaust lights...I don't know what the regulations are in USA but in Australia, if you have a blue light shining out of your car, the police are going to want to have a pretty long discussion with you...maybe even borrow your car for 30 days and charge you $800 to get it back!

I think (not 100% sure) but some manafacturors limit the car threw the internal code so in some instances some OBD2 scanners especially ones that are connected to computers can actualy help with performance but not fuel economy

I think most of those "OBD2 Power" devices usually just increase the throttle response by intercepting pedal packets and increases how much "pedal press" the ECU sees. Thus, the driver "feels" more power at less pedal, but it's not any actual power increase.

A lot of performance cars adjust pedal response from factory with different selectable drive modes (comfort, sport, track, etc) The only thing I could see bad about creating a hacky "universal" device is you don't know what wonky stuff could happen with a weird car that may not function as most do.

Nope. Their plan is "everything is made here, even the stuff that makes other things and raw materials and while we're not the cheapest (that's Taiwan) you can't get all these things all in one place anywhere else. And now we have all this industry our plan is to reform wage laws and force these companies to pay higher wages, pushing up global goods pricing and screwing the global economy while China soars" They actually make a lot of high quality products. But the thing is they make *everything* from cheap shit to premium products.

You totally need to wire the LED exhaust tip to the fake turbo so they both activate at the same time
