I rescued a six month old puppy. I bought a kitty litter tray and put fake grass in it to train her where to go. Some time later I installed a doggy door and slowly moved the tray outside to where she now goes in the garden. Worked a treat.

Lucky olive has smart parents. Show to olive the grass. It is safe and fun So smart mom ,dad and olive! I am enjoying your youtube!

I did the same thing. We use a boot tray, potty pads and a piece of artificial grass. Works perfectly and affordable.

I feel like the pee pad that they used is good because it will teach them to pee outside 😊

I am assuming he/she is some kind of golden doodle. You probably won't see this since this video was 2 years ago, but we recently got a 2-month-old micro min golden doodle, named Scooby. This video is like the exact video we need to see how you did this. He constantly goes everywhere in the house except for on the grass patch. It's so snowy outside we hate to bring him out in the snow, so we got him that. He doesn't use it. Pretty much what I am trying to say is thank you. This video really clears up what we should do with him. :)

It says in the description it’s a cavapoo. I’m debating on trying this or just making him go outside. Some say an indoor potty option is good others say it just teaches them to go inside because they don’t understand to go in one place inside. Any luck with your dog?

Olive looks exactly like my dog Louie he is a cavapoo as well!!

Hi preethi depending on where you live you could try looking online at Lancasterpuppies.com if you live on the east coast that’s where I got my puppy in October!

Hi there..I will be getting an 8-9 week old puppy soon and have a very small balcony of rails not cement..if I use the fresh patch on that and keep the puppy on lease for extra safety...is there a risk of the puppy lifting his leg and peeing on the railing instead (which could fall on someone's head.. something I absolutely don't want to risk, obviously)..thanks for helping answer this question

Hi Prachi 🙋‍♀️ i am afraid there is a good chance that your puppy will miss the designated potty area especially during the training. Olive has become a potty pro after repeated trainings. However there are still times when she misses her litter box from time to time ☹️

if you put the top part of the box on it's side, and the grass next to it, if they life their leg the urine will go on the box and not over the balcony

Its better to just take them outside when they have had their food to train them .

Olive is trulyo one of the most darling things I have ever seen in my whole life!

How do you stop your puppy from Chewing on the grass? My puppy can't stop chewing on the fresh patch!

they'll eventually stop (outgrow) them~ puppy stage is just curious of all things so they use their mouth to learn what things are~ but one trick to stop them from chewing earlier is to help them learn 'no' 🐾

like bruh: shes a tiny pupper dont know what grass is so they showed her then took a few more tries to get her to weewee... basically it dont work right away it takes time and effort!!
