My wife and I love your videos. Now, if I can get to agree to get a Strada instead of Terreno, that would be great. We did not consider Grech for our next RV until we started watching your channel. Spoke to R.M. @ Grech yesterday to start a long process. Despite the fact that they rely on dealers, he was exceptional;y helpful and made himself available for more questions. Grech RV exudes quality and customer service.

Even though we travel with a 5th Wheel, I find other setups interesting. This was a good video covering many features.

That’s a beautiful Class B. You guys are truly blessed to have been given such an amazing opportunity to use these RV’s. They are extremely expensive to purchase, so unfortunately, I’ll never be able to purchase one, so I’ll just enjoy watching you enjoy yours. My wife and I are retiring at the end of January, and we want to travel part-time around the country. I’d love to go full-time, but not my wife. She wanted to buy a Class B until I told her the cost, so appears we’ll probably start looking at newer used Class C’s. Something smaller she can feel comfortable driving as I have a bad back and can’t drive for more than an hour or so. I haven’t watched your videos for over a year now as my KZread account was deleted and I couldn’t remember the name of your channel to resubscribe until a few weeks ago. Obviously, your channel should have been the first one I remembered, but for some reason I just couldn’t remember it, or several others, many of which I still can’t recall. As I remember, you had far less subscribers the last time I tuned in, so congratulations on the increase! Look forward to watching you guys again as I’ve always enjoyed your content.

Have you thought about buying a Class B and have one of the many companies do a build for you and design it the way you want? You have to be very careful though, there are so many companies that have inferior quality. Look for a Van Expo online and do some research looking at the various companies, paying close attention to detail. We’re so sorry to hear about your account. Don’t worry about forgetting, we forget what we just did 5 min ago. 😂 …but seriously 😢 lol We have also had numerous people email us saying that KZread had unsubscribed them from our channel and they had to resubscribe. This has been happening for the last 3 plus years of the 5 years we have been on KZread, so we can only imagine how many we have lost. We have been also noticing comments not showing up. KZread sends us an email with comments made to our channel, except they only send a few and not every comment (which is very odd). So sometimes we see the comment in the email but it never shows up on KZread, not even in the “Held For Review” folder.there’s no way for us to contact that person either. So as you can see, KZread is doing some very strange things and they never once have been able to help. They always send pre-typed responses and when you provide “proof” with requested screenshots, they continue to keep asking for something else until they come up with something that is impossible for you to provide. Something very strange about that type of “business partner”. 🤔

@@LivinRVision You’re not the only channel I’ve heard having problems. It’s been going on for quite awhile with several folks out there. Not sure why KZread is doing this given the money they make from content creators. They should focus more on the garbage out there and leave the more conservative, public friendly content creators alone. I guess it’s just the world we live in, everything is strange nowadays. Haven’t thought about having a van built. I might look into that with a highly reputable source. It likely would be a savings, but I’d probably really have to work for that savings by constantly looking over the build to ensure the design, quality, materials and parts are what I want and what I pay for. Yes, there are a few having the same issue. We occasionally talk to other channels at campgrounds as we travel place to place. Most of us end up going to some of the same places quite often. Good luck with your findings. We hope you find exactly what you both want. 👍🏻😊🤓

We absolutely do! 🧡😊🤓 It’s not always sunshine and rainbows but it’s still a better situation for us then when we were in our Class A or Airstream. It’s not the “free testing period” that makes it better for us, it’s the less stress that comes with a larger RV.

Again we love following you two. It is making us think we want to dabble in the RV lifestyle. I don't think we could ever do full time, but a couple months out of the year would be awesome. Should this deal with Grech ever come to an end, I think the Leisure Travel van Unity RL would be perfect for you two. It already has two living areas where you both could set up and work. Also it just looks more spacious inside. However they are like "hens teeth" to find, and have a 2 year wait list on a new build. We are anxious to get in one and see for ourselves. We own a Winnebago View on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. Never again. You can't get your Sprinter repaired at just any Mercedes dealership. You have to go to a "Sprinter" MB dealership, and they're few and far between.

Very nice video as always. Personally I think they need to break up the color of the van - maybe bumpers a different color. Their improvements were nice. Little things make such a difference sometimes! Safe travels!

It’s actually much easier than it looks. That panel pops off and you just push that button down and grab and pull.

I still like Airstream trailer, I was hesitated to choose class b or travel trailer because of livable space. Finally I chose 23 F airstream trailer! Much better than I expected!

We have a Rockwood TT. I am sure we would run out of room very quickly in a class b.

I love the color blue and gray. You should have mentioned the bathroom. Has it been improved to make it more spacious and less claustrophobic?

Same iPhone just a different lens on the iPhone in this video due to the lower light (cloudy day).

Looks like you upgraded your cameras since when you did the filter swap, can see a difference in resolution on my monitor. Looks great! There was an audio sync issue in the beginning part of this video fyi. Really enjoy your videos, thank you! Yikes, you discussed MBZ lane assist (my nemesis), wish MBZ could just steer back into the lane like our Honda does! The blue grey is the best color!

@@LivinRVision the best video quality in our boating videos is from the iPhone 14 Pro. Beats the GoPros by a mile. I am sure there is some nice gear that would be better than the iPhone, ....but I question if it would be worth it.

They have not had anything else correlating to that as of yet to prove what caused it. Nobody else has had that happen so far either.

Thank you for the DEF information, I’m going to add that to my screen tomorrow, it’s very useful to have it on the screen. Also thanks for the filter info and instructions, I don’t think the MB dealer changed it in my last oil change. The side wind assist is amazingly helpful, I upgraded my van at Agile off-road and had a suspension rip kit installed, it helped the chassis in high winds, as well as entering and exiting driveways as it is a bit taller (PW Ascent TS). Can you tell me how you keep your caps in place behind the seat? Thank you and happy new year.

That filter is the Cabin Air Filter, so I’m not sure if they change that every time during an oil change. We use Command Strip hooks to hang them and they stay very well.

Love the new color !! Thanks for sharing all the cool features. I’d like to think we could RV in something that small, but I think Missy would kill me, LOL. Maybe when we get older.

Grech sent it to a dealer (La Mesa RV) for us to pick it up this time around. I believe all sales go through a dealer.

We’re glad you enjoy it. We can only imagine how miserable IBS must be. We “try” to eat healthy, but it’s hard when we drive by all the new places that we want to try. As for gluten free, I (Brian) can always find something, sometimes it has to be a salad (which I love anyway) but anymore most restaurants have GF options. Then…sometimes I choose to “forget” that I’m supposed to eat GF. lol When I do, it always reminds me why I shouldn’t. We have just been trying to stick to fasting like we used to do. 16 hours fasting. Last meal at 6pm then we don’t eat again until 10am and sometimes even later. Too much info? 😂

My thanks to you both for the great channel and all the helpful Gech info!! With your info we're close to making an offer on a new '24 my Strada Ion. Its does not come with TPMS stock so I am curious what your approach is? I don't believe you've covered it before but how do you handle regular tire pressure maintenance with dually's? TY!!

I recommend getting a TPMS like the one we used to have with our Class A/tow car and Airstream/truck both. We just haven’t bought a new TPMS system since we sold the system with those setups and since we’ve been in the van(s) switching out to a different van so frequently. I just check the tire pressures regularly. We feel much safer in the van than with the Class A or towing the 33’ Airstream.

Thank you for your video, enjoyed it, and now a new subscriber. Lot of helpful things you shared , especially about battery & all the information about it,location,etc. The air filter, and the diesel def. Also the other things. “Like the title to your video, that’s what got my attention, “Things you didn’t know about your Mercedes Sprinter”. Looking at different Sprinters. Will definitely check out the Strada! Have a question, guess could go to the website, but rather ask you. Is the Sprinter either AWD or 4x4 ? If its a 2 wheel drive, and since you are full-time RV, How do you mange with just 2 wheel drive every vehicle ever owned has been 4 wheel drive or AWD, ( just an little example, you could pull the side of road, and easily get stuck, or mainly in bad weather etc.) I personally like to go down side roads ,dirt roads, or going up mountain road to someone’s house, all types of occasions. [snowy road] always felt safer having it. Please share your thought with me on how you have handled this please. I like the Mercedes Sprinter vs the Ford. Also want a diesel. Again, thank you for your informative video, would have never known.(or found out the hard way).

They come either 2 or AWD. For us we are testing these units but if we were to purchase one, we would have to consider the pros and cons of 2 or AWD and our way of traveling. In the last 5 years full time, we have not once needed AWD. Weigh your options. Is it worth the extra $ including the slight fuel economy loss? If you do a lot of off road, you may want the AWD, but you also have to ask yourself, where all could I actually go with the van off road with its ground clearance etc? If we traveled in colder climates it could come in handy, but it just hasn’t shown to be worth it to us so far.

We can definitely understand! Unfortunately with a Class B, you have to pay quite a bit for overall quality. We remember when we were shocked when we first seen the prices. Then, we started looking at the prices of the comparable Airstream Interstate and noticed how similarly priced they were and how much better the Strada-ion was in many ways. If money wasn’t a factor for us too, the Strada-ion would definitely be our choice. We just share our experience and hope it helps someone. What hurts worse is when you spend a lot on something and then have to frequently take it in for repairs or frequently repairing something yourself. RVs are not cheap for what you get that’s for sure.

Great video. Thanks. We just upgraded to the 2024 Strata Ion. Our first trip will be to see y’all in Tampa in a few weeks. I noticed you had a dark screen over the roof fan. Where did you get that? Also do you keep your fold up clothes in the big top back storage area or on the side upper storage areas? I wish Grech would put snap down buttons on the passenger floor at so that it doesn’t slide. Do you use ant type of tire pressure system? I have purchased one and the stems on the dual rear tires wouldn't work?

We haven’t since we started testing these units but we have always used them with our other RVs and tow vehicle. We would definitely recommend using a TST system though.

I have a question on your lane assist. What happens if you try to avoid a accident someone coming in your lane on your right side and you pull the car to the left to avoid. Does the lane assist know what your doing can you over ride the lane assist correction moving you back I to your lane? Love the new van. You can force it to change lanes, it is just a little a learning and slight tug to help keep you from colliding with oncoming traffic. We hope to meet you at the Tampa Show during our Meet & Greet! I enjoy watching all your review videos. The one thing I'm not sure about is the microwave location. I would think if it where with the upper cabinets, it would be easier to use, clean and reclaim some space in the bottom. What are your thoughts?

This has been a thought. The microwave would stick out further at the top though since the cabinets at the top are not near as deep.

New to Van Live but not new to camping. I’ve had a travel trailer and currently own a 5th Wheel. I’m thinking of changing over to a van. My concern is having one vehicle and if that vehicle is hooked up to a camp site and I wanted to go somewhere having to unhook everything. That would be a pain. My current thinking is if I had enough solar and a genny I would never have to hook up to shore power. I could fill the fresh water tank and not have to connect the water hose that often. If I only hooked up the sewer dump when needed, or had a cassette toilet that would alleviate connecting to sewer. Is my thinking all wrong or what?

It depends on the van you have and if you like to set up a lot of things outside at a campsite. We’ve demonstrated a few times how easy it is for us with this current van. 1,260 amp hours of lithium enables us to boondocking much easier than even with a generator. Also, since we work all week, we never set things outside. We have quick connects on our water hose and the power cord is the only other thing we have to disconnect. Our sewer hose on this particular van is on an electric reel. We only pull it out when we empty tanks. We can tear down and set up in less than 5 minutes. So quick and simple. 2 years now and the benefits have outweighed the cons by far.

Where in Minnesota do you guys live? recently got a 2024 Pleasureway Plateau TS…. Loving it but miss having a master at or and power door…. The 2023 Mercedes upgrades are great!

We don’t live in Minnesota and never have. We sold our home in Iowa over 5 years ago and d have traveled full-time ever since. Started with a Class A for 2 years, Airstream Classic for 1 year and we’ve been testing these van for over 2 years now.

How do you clean the solar panels? I can't remember a ladder or path to the roof.

Truck wash. Always make sure they do not use any harsh chemicals. If this was our long term unit (and was ours), I would have to convince Michelle to get rid of some clothes so that we had room for a ladder. 😂😜

You didn’t mention biodiesel. I understand that the new Sprinter engine can use biodiesel.

Hi, I recently bought a 2023 Terrino ion 4 wheel drive. I averaged about 12 mpg on a 1400 mile trip mostly at 70 mph. I believe the mud and snow tires that came with it are the biggest reason for the poor mileage. What mileage were you getting on your older one with the 6 cylinder non 4 wheel drive? I am trying to figure out if switching tires to all season will be worth the cost. Also the noise and ride from these tires are annoying. Thanks Kent

Hello - the 6cyl avg around 15 and the 4 cyl around 19-20 in similar conditions. We have actually talked about this in a few videos. Sorry we don’t recall which ones.
