We survived the HARDEST and MOST EPIC hike in Taiwan 🇹🇼
Finally, it's here! THIS is the hike we looked forward to the most in Taiwan. We start by going up to (and climbing through) Teapot Mountain. Then we continue on to Mount Banping, walking along the ridgeline. It was extremely windy when we did this hike, adding an extra element of danger! Were the views worth it?

我是出生在金瓜石，小學後到外地念書，你們爬的茶壷山是較難爬的，幾十年前一次地震把茶壷山耳震壞了才㑹像現在這様，有一塊平台整齊排列石頭是人為的，那地方是日冶時期神社的舊址，辛苦了完成此次旅程。

Same here! I've been watching all your Taiwan videos the past few days, and can't get enough of this. I really like the way you show the view! Looks very professional just like a traveling TV show.
Nice hiking video, it's so windy and difficult trip, but you made it! Normally hikers in Taiwan will greeting to each other "Good Morning, Good Day" and they'll say one word " 5 minutes you'll arrive the destination " and that is not true at all haha :)

經常在附近的海岸線釣魚，看風向與天色，我猜測你們是午後去的嗎？通常那裡過了中午經常會變天，變的陰暗起風或下雨。（早晨天氣狀況較佳） 三年前的夏天曾經去了那裡爬山，當天天氣非常好，視野遼闊！雖然很疲憊但是站在山的頂端望著美麗的風景，一切都值得了！😊

I've only been there once, and I went alone so I ended up not going through the teapot part as I was reluctant to do it alone. Maybe I can persuade a friend to go with me to do together at some point because the views there are mega, and famously well known throughout Taiwan as being some of the best here.

I searched on Google maps there are quite a few hiking trails around Teapot Mountain. I hope you guys did more just Teapot Mountain and Banpingshan. I think I can easily spend at least a couple weeks there.

Taking that ridge on such a windy day could have been bad for your health. Glad you made it. Just a few months ago, on a scorchingly hot day, a middle-aged man did not bring enough water on that trail and lost his life as a result. I enjoy very much the films you made while in Taiwan. The crazy part about this trail is that it is a "weekend sub urban one day relax trail" for people in Taipei
You were basically on the second-highest mountain range in Taiwan, the Xueshan Mountain Range (Snowy Mountain Range). Its peak is much further south in Miaoli County, Mt Sylvia, 3886 meters in height.
Rock couple! I have been there, not easy truly, but it's not the hardest! The people came through from another side when you took break up on the top is Stegosaurus Ridge. It's the hardest I ever climbed. It would be a great another level challenge for you, young hikers! You are great!🎉

We did not go to the bathroom that whole time! There was a port-a-potty right at the very start and that was the last time we went before the hike. Thankfully the hike was so hard that we didn't have mental energy to think about it. 😂😂

@@jazzenthuiagirl omg, I'm a nervous pee person, too. 😂😂 We didn't quite have enough water that day so our bodies weren't ready for us to let go of what we did drink! We rode the edge of dehydration. (we should have had more with us!!) Enjoy your trip! We aren't there anymore (still have a few videos to come) and really miss it. Hopefully you'll love it as much as we did. ❤️

佩服不懂中文的你們，路線不熟悉還能走完！多年前也曾在盛夏於半屏山，遇見一位歐洲來的獨行女性背包客！最後ending 的鐵軌是當年運礦石的，應該去黃金博物館看那塊大黃金！
金瓜石這一帶山區有許多廢棄礦坑及豎井，進入非主要步道要很小心，恐怕墜落深坑。
