Get both. Magnets have so many uses, but post cards at the end of the trip could be used to decoupage a table top 😁

I was gonna say get the magnet and shot glass lol. A shot glass you could always use

many years ago we went on an epic road trip and sent a postcard from every sightseeing location to my dad. He kept them. After he passed away we found the postcards and looked over them with our kids-now in their 30s. fun to remember the trip from their point of view as kids with those notes we sent my dad. I would suggest the post cards and write your favorite memory from that day. In our digital day it is a quick tactile way to remember the best parts of a long trip.
One of my favorite things about full timing, when Sunday hits, the majority of the campground empties out and remains that way until Thursday or Friday. The weekends are usually pretty packed and hectic but we generally use the weekends to travel to our next spots.

Hiking trails are the same way. Thanks for sharing that info!
Many years ago (circa late 80's), we began with collecting shot glasses, but soon learned that they need a lot of shelf/closet space to display/store. So, about 8 years ago, we switched to magnets and are so glad we did. Much easier and safer to pack while still traveling and easier to display once home -- I created framed magnet boards for them: one for US and Caribbean and another for the rest of the world.

Florida has really cool trolleys on the gulf coast with a inside air conditioned section and an outside area in the back they’re very cool!
Magnets will eventually weigh you down. Post cards, if you write a brief note about your experience at the location AND put them in a dedicated box. I suggest stickers to place somewhere on the vehicle. Inside a cabinet door, outer access door. Alternative, piece of heavy clear film, cut to the interior size of a window. Place stickers on the film. Easy to display, take down when you want, keep if/when you have a new adventure vehicle.
I think you should collect postcards. Then you can right on the back your favorite memory and put them in an album. I collect Christmas ornaments from wherever we go.

I get ornaments at special places, too! But…I’ve been told I “have a problem” with Christmas decorations so I choose to lean into it.
Love seeing ppl recognize you! Can't wait to see Ruby and Clementine in MO!
Another possibility for a collection are enamel pins. You can get a sheet of thick corkboard and stick them into it for display. Might work better even than magnets if you don't have a lot of ferrous metal surfaces to put them on.
You can bind the postcards into a book and write on the back where you’ve been. You can add a magnet panel somewhere to put the magnets but it does take up a lot of visual space. Personally, I’ve been doing postcards and stickers for when I go to national parks. Much lighter and less waste!

I voted magnets, but I like this idea!
Glad it’s cooling down for you. Must admit, had just a tiny bit anxiety wondering if one of might lean back in the chair on the roof, have it flip backwards, and off you tumble to the ground! Oh, we had a hot week in San Diego…up to 80F a couple of days…back to a more appropriate 72F today.
In the UK, those magnets are called 'Fridge Magnets' because they stick to the metal door face of the fridge, though any ferrous surface would do. I'd go with the magnets anyway.
You could have stopped at the Downstream Resort at exit #1 on Missouri highways. On the resort grounds is a point where Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri come together. You could have knocked out 3 states at one time, lol!
Eureka Springs looks absolutelly stunning! I would love to go there.

I proposed to my lovely wife in Eureka Springs 21 years ago. We're both born and raised in Arkansas and that town is one of our favorites.
Great to see Clementine performing A-okay for you. I also appreciate that you leave in the little snafus and keep it real. :) For thrifty souvenirs: you can select a pebble from each State and write on the State name and the date you arrived, and keep them in a jar. One thought: Any way to add a pop-up railing to your rooftop for safety?
Is that roof rated for load-bearing? I'd be worried about stressing it out and springing little leaks in the fall. Great film anyhow, you're certainly selling the RV lifestyle. I'm very impressed with how the rig is handling those mountain roads and Eureka looks like a lovely town to visit. The cocktail menu needs a bit of work!

It will leak now. It only takes once. You have to lay down plywood or something to protect it while fixing something. Dang😳😣

no matter what drinking on a roof without a railing, is dangerous. i have seen it go wrong for a pregnant woman that was not drunk, she dident know on leg from the chair was over the side when she sat down. if it can´t stand the weight, then it will probetly start to leek in the top, if you dont fall through the roof

Eureka Springs is epic! Such a fun quirky town. It’s a MUST SEE! Definitely do tour the famous historic Crescent Hotel, supposedly haunted and was featured on one of those ghost hunting Tv shows.
Guys face it, you have achieved celebrity status! Enjoying your adventures. Stay safe.
Postcards are great and they store compactly if you keep them many years. They are also easy to scan if you need to part with them later. Limit magnets to 5 or 10 special ones that might fit on your fridge or somewhere else vertical. Limit shot glasses to two very special ones. They take up more space! Great video!
We collect Christmas tree ornaments when we travel. Sometimes we repurpose items we think are lovely that aren’t meant to be ornaments. Every Christmas we get to relive our trips
My vote is for magnets. Also if you replace/glue a stronger earth magnet to it you won't have to worry about them falling.
We love being underrated 😁. Arkansas is amazing. I know several spots here that would blow your mind with natural beauty.
Love that your having a ‘sundowner’ cocktail enjoying the end of a beautiful day .🍹
Whoo hoo!! Safe travels!!
We do both! Each states Magnets on our camper oven hood, and then hang our postcards on strings in the camper for decor! Lightweight and you could scrapbook them later!
I would be a little concerned with the feet of the chairs pressing on the roof of the RV. All the weight is collected on just 4 points.
For souvenirs you should get something different in each state, especially if it is iconic to the state or weird! That way you don’t collect too many of one thing!
Get both start a scrap book with postcards and flyers. Magnet are useful and small. Shot glasses to easy to break and take up room. Thanks for sharing your day with me. You made my day 💕. You shouldn't be surprised when somone gives a friendly shout out your fans love you. Blessings and safe travels.
That was so much FUN! You two chillin' on the roof!! Love that new animation, too!
So happy to see you guys finally on the road. Now we’re gonna watch the video 🚐❤️
Allison, I’m so sorry you hurt your foot. I hope it’s better now. That’s a really pretty view. We were in Arkansas several years ago and I thought that Eureka Springs area was beautiful. I’d like to spend some time there. Thanks for letting us tag along with you! Excited for this journey! Jane in SC ❤️🙏🏻
I love Eureka Springs. I'm glad that you had the opportunity to visit. Thanks for all the fun videos.
Eureka looks gorgeous. 👍😊💙🇮🇪🇺🇲
We collect Christmas ornaments from everywhere we go. It’s so fun remembering all the awesome trips we’ve been on when we put the tree up each year.
Another brilliant video guys. Can't wait for the next one.
Arkansas is super under rated and I hope it stays that way! haha we have family very very close to where you are and we love that area so much, can't wait to be out there again soon.. this time with our home on wheels!!
Just started watching your channel. You have very upbeat and welcoming personalities. Good work on the video as well. Having owned many RVs i would suggest at the very least that you glue down one piece of white rubber roofing material that covers the entire roof. It wont strengthen the roof structure but it will eliminate leaks that could be caused by walking or sitting on the roof. I have never had that system fail me. It completely eliminates the patching leaks battle that comes with older RVs. It flexes with the body. You could also glue wood on top of that to strengthen the roof deck for walking and sitting.
Thanks for sharing so many of the fun things to see and do in Eureka Springs, AK! So fun!
I collect pins for each state I go to - love it. Small, compact, and fun to display on a backpack, corkboard, etc.
Really nice to see a couple enjoying themselves! After seeing this it made me feel like visiting Eureka Springs again.
If you want a more comfortable rooftop without the weight of a wooden, or synthetic wood, deck you can do it 2 ways. 1: They make a stick on padding you can adhear straight to the roof (watch/get hold of Kara and Nate for what they stuck down to their roof deck to make it more comfortable to sit on), or 2: get a sheet of Alucobond (5mm aluminum composite sheeting, or called panel cladding) and screw it down to the roof to strengthen it and spread out your weight across a wider area. You can then put the stick on padding on top of it for a bit of cushion, or get a sheet of the composite panels with a woodgrain print (or whatever pattern/look you like) to make it kinda look like a wood surface. The Alucobond is 2 thin sheets of aluminum with a synthetic material sandwiched between them for strength and lightness and is used for large buildings siding and signage/billboards. The Alucobond only weighs about 7 pounds per square meter so it won't be heavy like a wooden deck!
Arkansas has a TON of beautiful spots! Cheers!

It does! Especially out west. We always look forward to driving/stopping through 😍
I keep a camping journal of which I keep my memories and info. Just now started to collect post cards, but usually a sticker to put in my journal. I'll buy a magnet if I like the looks of it and stick them on the the stove hood. Won't stick to the fridge. Thanks for taking us along!

Camping journals are awesome. I usually keep a journal with a pocket in it where I can keep the campground maps and record which site we stayed in too. So cool to look back on and remember what we did and where we were!
Northwest Arkansas is one of the most underrated, beautiful places! Glad you got to spend some time in Eureka Springs. I live about an hour away from there, it’s a lovely place this time of year. Safe travels!
How awesome! My husband and I stayed at that RV Park 2 years ago! We have a Mercedes Sprinter Era 170 van. We loved our time there ❤️
I love these little trolleys. I’ll take one every time!
WOO HOO!!! I was so happy to see a video as I was bored studying wines for work. love to see places I have never even considered visiting. heh ya little local celebrities! wow, so excited and happy for you.
Lol, you guys are awesome. I enjoyed “classic cocktails with Allison”. Great series, I am happy for you that your new journey has begun. Have fun!
Such a fun video! Eureka Springs reminds us a lot of Hot Springs. Cute town! We’re going to have to try and make those cocktails tonight and drink them on our roof too, y’all make it look so cool 😎 Safe travels, you two! -Ben and Ang
I am loving this 50 state adventure! Thanks for sharing and safe travels😊🚗
Every time I go somewhere new I get a picture frame and put my favorite picture from the trip in it! To save room though for you guys I vote magnet!
What a awesome video!!! And no break downs!! Thanks for sharing. Hopefully this fall, I'll be out there chasing down my adventure. Be safe and well. Toledo.
Oh man, I always hate it when I reach the end of your videos. Thanks again for sharing them, you two are just wonderful!
Love the quality of your videos....I m also impressed that Allison gets involved with set up of rv and drives the rv.
Can’t wait to see your Hawaii video!!
Love your videos. You do a great job of showing us the sights. I’m 86 years young and have to satisfy my wanderlust through your videos. I was busy raising children and then life just happens, so I’m thanking you 🙂❤️.
You guys are awesome 48 to go. I am sure Emma and her husband are watching you guys. Stay safe
Great vid! I stayed at Wanderlust in April and it is such a sweet park. Eureka Springs is a lovely little town. Glad to have found y'all... 🙂
Fabulous videos you too. I’d take the postcards every time. You can write memories on the back and have cool photos on the front. Wishing you a fabulous day from England ❤️
I just got back from Eureka Springs. It is such an amazing town with very friendly people. I want to go back when I get my RV. I loved New Dehli Cafe, SPring Cafe and the Basin Hotel. So fun. The Thorncrown Chapel is truly a spiritual experience.
I was rewatching some of your older videos and I was wondering if you could do a top 5 places to see or top 5 foods to eat 😀❤

I vote magnets, you can always add a wooden frame with metal to place the magnets and we'll be able to see them 😀
Love following u guys. The citrus slice slipping off the glass made me chuckle out loud! Thanks for that
Love ya'll running into viewers along the way!
Definitely both. Post-card and magnet from every state would be an epic collection.
"see you on the road"....literally! People calling out "Endless Adventure"! and stopping you to say hi...so cool! I'll be putting Eureka Springs, AK on our list of places to see, the scenery is amazing!
Love the Allison cocktail hour, lol! Loved the video guys, u guys rock!
I loved this too much! "...Some chunks of ice...or cubes if you have em." *bloop* Goes the chunk of ice. Lol. Too cute!
Welcome to my home state of Arkansas . Yes it’s very underrated. Glad you enjoyed your time can’t wait to watch to see the other states.
Loved this video. It was perfect balance, to us, of RV living and travel exploration. Thank you for sharing! For the collectable - I would do the postcards by mailing them to family and asking them to keep them for you. It will be a small travel journal in itself that you can put in a scrapbook or binder when this particular adventure ends and you move on to something else.
I'm sure ya'll are going to run into a LOT of fans during this trip!
Great trip guys, you will have so much fun, so glad your using a tablecloth, it’s very pretty. Thanks ,
Awwww, we love Eureka! We used to live in Springfield and vacationed there often. Such a quaint little town
really enjoyed getting to view the town with you guys🤘🤘
Pressed pennies! A very small souvenir and half the fun is finding the pressing machines 😄
Book marks are a great collectible - small and very practical. Happy travels!
You could totally mix your souvenirs up, get a few shot glasses, get a few magnets, get several postcards.. that way you kind of have a mix and you get to remind yourself of places you've traveled when you take a shot or look at the postcards or magnets
Cheers from Arkansas! Thank you for showing us off a little :)
We collect postcards from our travels and write what we did in each place on the back! We keep them in one of the old style magic sticky page photo albums and add in photos from the trips too!
I like the idea of choosing at least 1 thing from each state and then have a collectors box afterwards cause in places like AZ you might want to get something like hot sauce or a lolly pop with a scorpion in them - every state is unique in this way, so I would get the thing the state is known for the most that the souvenirs will display :) You guys will probably always want to improve things on the RV that will be Neverending. You guys did a great job on this video and I think it will be nice for you guys to be back in the states for a while as you always have wanted to do this! So excited!
I'm really enjoying your trip across America. Have a wonderful trip.🗽🚙
Looks wonderful but you didn't show us any springs. Hopefully you have more videos of beautiful Arkansas.
You look so happy to be on the road!
I collect magnets for my van (Dareld) while traveling, but every once in a while I come across a cool postcard I can't live without. So I glue a sheet magnet to the back and have the best of both worlds! The same goes for stickers. Now I never have to leave them behind.
Love watching you two traveling around the 50 states!! Best to get a piece of small metal and collect magnets. Paper will have to be stored and eventually where will you put them when your done? Magnets can be set out to see and enjoy! Be safe! Love to see more
I collect postcards that can be mounted on a cute string with cute decorative clothes pins on the inside of the RV snd can be switched out and saved in an album. But I collect a certain style of postcards that all sort of are the same vintage style. My office is decorated with moss and postcards.
Cool second state Eureka looks a lovely place to visit. Definitely magnets or shot glasses great views from the top of the Clementine
I've seen people implement stickers into their RVs for the 50 states. Some pretty cool ideas out there. We collect a patch for every National Park we go to and we want to figure out some way to implement that into our van. We also collect magnets to put on our fridge at home.
I collect a small ornament from each place I travel. I put them on a special tree I call my ‘travel tree’ ! 🎄
glad to see you guys on the road and having fun safe travels to you love your videos
Our home state Arkansas is very underrated! Such a fun video. funny we haven't really visited Eureka Springs that much, after your videos we need to change that when we are back in the states. Love the bloopers y'all keep in! 😂y'all seem to have so much fun!
Shot glasses are the best to collect. That’s what I do. Plus new viewer! Love your channel. Your UP video came up in my feed, and I loved it. I lived in Michigan most of my life. And it’s one of the best places I’ve ever lived
I love you guys! You have so much fun every you go! Have fun!!
You two are great and fun! Thanks for your help and insight!
This is so cool guys!!! I am so glad that your videos came up in my feed! My fiance Greg & I are about to head out on a similar adventure from North Carolina to Colorado in hopes of putting together a music festival! Watching you guys gets me super excited to be on the road! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Pizza with cheese, sauce, bacon and egg - in Australia we call that an Aussie pizza. Very popular. Love the idea of cocktails on the roof of Clementine watching the sunset. Can't wait to see more of your trip!
We do magnets and put them on the frig. You could put the postcards in an album. What a compliment that you find Adventurers everywhere you go!❤️
Something I collect while traveling, are stickers. I like to put them on the inside of my Tool Box. It's kinda like motivation everytime I go back to grab something. I also collect Park Pins for my hiking hat after I've visited one. **Geek Alert** 😆
Safe travels to y’all and excited to watch the journey with Clementine and Ruby. I’ve been following since the beginning before Clementine. ❤️ you guys and the sweetest couple.
We just rode a troll just like that in Gatlinburg! They are fun. Breakfast pizza looked delicious! Eureka Springs looks like a lot of fun! Get the magnet! We just added a bunch to our collection.
Thank you for giving my state a positive review. You’re welcome back anytime.
I’ve collected postcards since I was in high school and now have many of them framed in interesting collages…..they are nice souvenirs.
I love magnets as that is what we do, and a metal board is easy to display them on. The postcards would be cute if you were writing down memories from the state on them. Then make a scrap book of them and a favorite photo or two. I also love the idea of the astroturf. Would look hilarious, but I have seen a few buildings here in Alaska with real moss on their roof for more insulation, and it always just looks different.
what a nice relaxing scene!
