Cromer is a lovely place. Dan and I have visited the town several times and have always had such fun. North Norfolk is one of our happy places. 😺

Last time I was in Cromer was 1987. Its changed quite a bit since. That tides place on the pier was never there. It was my dad's favourite place to go, sadly he passed away in 1997 and I've been wanting to go back but could never pluck up the courage to go as it would remind me of him. Maybe one day.

Loved it Helen when you brought out your Salt/Pepper shaker the ladies were so impressed as you seasoned your crab sandwich 🥪 you are always so nice and friendly with everyone and i do hope the man with the fish wasnt been rude to you when you asked him wht fish was it i hope James is right and he doesn't speak English .... OMG those Fish and Chips looked so yummy and loved it James when you fed the pigeons loved it when you said i,ll feed them because thy living creatures and needed feeding i would do the same ...I didnt like the naughty boy chasing them 😮Honestly i love watching ❤you both ..,. I spent many childhood holidays at Sheringham and Cromer! There used to be a lovely crab shop at the east end of the beach, near the pub on the sea front. 22:20, that's the one!! Great to see Hellybobs back, she cracks me up, bless her.

I have a purse with three little tubs of..1 Himalayan salt 2 organic black pepper 3 organic chilli 🌶️ turmeric and mixed herbs …but we don’t eat out..due to organic diet cooked in organic butter/coconut oil/ or extra virgin olive oil …it’s for pic nics ..on an organic farm egg etc x x x

Really enjoyed this video, you two were at your very best together, so lovely to see you both happy and enjoying life. The race up the steps was so funny - like a pair of teenagers on holiday with their parents !! And the kid with the pigeons was pure comedy gold ! Love Cromer but it always seems much nearer to me in Essex on the map than it does trying to drive there without a motorway anywhere in Norfolk ! You picked the right chippy alright, it's a good area for fish n chips North Norfolk, can't go too far wrong. "No:1" was opened by one of those celebrity TV chefs I know nothing about but I tried them once and they were very good too, just more 'modern' and a bit pricier, aimed at more 'upmarket' visitors I feel ..." see you in Norwich" !

Not sure if you've been to Essex area much, but I think you guys would love Harwich. It surprised me, so atmospheric, full of character, excellent pubs, esp The Alma. Dutch influence shows in some of architecture

Found the joy of Cromer about 4 years ago and return every year from Durham. Come with coach tour and stay at Hotel de Paris opposite the pier.

I only know of Cromer due to Alan Partridge …so funny. Then a Viking event …burning a Viking boat on the beach …came up. So me and my youngest son drove there and stayed in a youth hostel the night…but it wasn’t near there ..I couldn’t find this part 😢 I really wanted to see this pier too. Well I can now through you two x x x

You come alive when you're with Helen mate...🥰 You clearly love each other. My Auntie Sharon lives in Cromer. She moved up there from South East London, where we all come from, about 40 years ago, and liked it so much...shes stayed. I went there for a day with my kids about 40 years ago, but it was pishing down and we just sat on a bench in the town square like drowned rats for half an hour, eating lunch, and then left. So that has always clouded my judgement about the place since then. But watching your little tour...I can see why my Auntie settled there. It DOES remind me of a few places actually... Like a combination of Walton on the Naze (Essex...near Clacton)...and Deal...down here in Kent. I like places like that...which are... "Unassuming" 😊 You know? Not shouting. Just gentle...and old...and meandering. Another enjoyable video..."Jaelen" (...your combined new name! 😂).

This vlog is very dear to my heart as a lad growing up i used to look so forward to the Leicester july fortnight and we would as a family stay at East Runton on the gap caravan site then walk up the hill to Cromer sometimes lol along the beach then you have sherringham about 2 miles the other way thanks guys for bringing such wonderful memories back ❤

Been away in the sun for a few weeks and great to start catch up with Cromer. Used to take the kids there a lot back in the 80's and although its changed a little it stil holds that charm of the seaside.

My family and myself always used to go there ...... crabbing of the pier was the best ..... crab meat is so wonderful x

Somebody once told me, if you get a crab pissed, they walk forwards 😂

Good one! Good old Cromer! 😄 Helen was talking about fossils. Just west of Cromer is Sheringham, one of the best places in the UK to find them! (along the foot of the cliffs on the beach) Looking forward to seeing what you think of Norwich. The other place in East Anglia you would probably like a lot is Bury St Edmunds (do a bit of research on that one!)

I think that fish was a Bullhuss, a member of the Dog fish family. The angler might be a bit nonchalant as Bullhuss have very rough skin that can cause cuts, so it's a bit of a wrestle

Cromer looks amazing. £9.00 for a pint and a half! Think I've been away from the UK longer than I thought. Good to see Helen back and bossing the vlog. ☺️🇬🇷

We love Cromer, and quite often stay the night where you’ve parked without any problem. We noticed when we were there mayday weekend they’ve put height barriers in all the car parks😬 As for fish & chips - Wills plaice down the road in East Runton are our favourites. Look forward to the Norwich vlog. 😎

When I was stationed on GITMO we had these land crabs that would run around. One day, one got in the clinic somehow and was walking up and down the hallway with his claws doing the pinching motion, we took the broom to it. James, you might like New England style clam chowder, give it a try sometime. Now that you've been to Cromer you can come back again and try those spots you missed out on. Thanks you two for showing us around, I always enjoy a Helen and James Show. I loved the sound of the waves coming onto the rocks, I could fall asleep to it. Sweet dreams you two.

Great vlog, so lovely to see Cromer, I haven’t been for a few years but have been going up to Norfolk since I was little. Nice to see Mary Jane’s, I recommended it to you on Instagram when you posted the picture the other day, I’ve eaten there SO many times. As an aside with regard to crab, it’s the brown meat that tastes strong, the white meat is milder and to my mind more palatable. Hope you enjoy Norwich too, a beautiful city.

Getting closer to my area! Many day trips to Cromer as a youngster....

Went there a few weeks ago, we rented a flat nr where Dorothy was parked. It was a cold wind then .

Ahh did you not visit the lifeboat station at the end of the pier? Well worth a visit and it’s free. We like No 1 for fish n chips but eat in the restaurant upstairs the menu is more comprehensive. Sheringham is also worth a visit while you’re in the area. We live not to far away in Briston and love the area, plenty of places to go visit.

Love both Norwich and Cromer, plenty of cracking pubs in Norwich, usually get down at least once a year for a couple of weeks, 🍻🍻🍻
