Wuul me too. Although, he went sidetracked when cdawg asked about the relationship turn point of leaving. But, in Anthony’s personal videos about smosh it seemed the only real hesitation he had was because he was afraid of having to leave Ian. It seems they still genuinely care abt each other, as I see them comment on each others insta and twitter. In the end, we’re just fans and we dont know what happens behind the scenes but their friendship is honestly what made me love smosh the most 🤷‍♂️ so its sad not to be able to see that on screen anymore.

The only reason Anthony left is because of the old management that run Smosh (Defy Media) made him feel like he cant be creative w the content

I find it incredible how passionate Anthony still is about his craft after all this time, you can really sense it throughout the entire episode. I haven't watched his content since SMOSH as it doesn't appeal to me unfortunetely, but he gets all of my respect for being so dedicated and passionate despite doing it for that amount of time. I could never even imagine myself doing something for that long no matter how much I love doing it, and I am close to his age.

Anthony was a given in this tour, against everything everyone else is saying. He is such a chill dude that its almost unthinkable he would ever reject the boys inviting him into their podcast.

Gotta say it's super cute that you can feel the like.. respect and appreciation they have for Anthony. Naturally, as an OG, there's lots to want to ask and talk about, and I think the dynamic here is something special. A culmination of KZread coming full circle of sorts because we all grew up with Smosh. This is such a moment. Thank you. I enjoyed this interview a lot. Made the top of my list of most memorable trash taste episodes for sure.

Anthony seems like such a sweet and chill guy. I think it’s so cool that he has a career where he can be creatively free and make the videos that he wants. Nice to hear he’s happier with his content now

I think it's safe to say that Trash Taste is gna literally bring on every big and OG youtuber to ever exist onto the podcast, until there isn't a single person left to invite...and then Pewdiepie. And tbh Im completely fine with that.

it's interesting rewatching this one after Anthony came back to smosh and his I spend A day with Ian. you get to know so much more on how this entire journey has been for Anthony and Smosh. i'm happy they were able to reconnect with eachother.

Garnt and Anthony discussing staying relevant on KZread was such a wholesome conversation. It’s similar to when you hear your parents talking to their parents about life. I really enjoyed that :)

Anthony is so eloquent. I was just fully immersed in his story, he's a very good speaker!

I like how confident Joey is that we will know who their guests are, despite half their audience being born after the peak of their popularity. I on the other hand vaguely remember the channel Smosh being a thing among kids younger than me, but had not heard a word about Anthony in the last decade or so. Glad to start correcting that now!

@@knashboi3914 bro 2013 people literally watch minecraft lets plays lmao, and then 2014 is the fnaf era with markiplier, believe it or not smosh really slowly gone out from the scene to the point that no one who is born early 2000s would known them (unless they use youtuhe heavily) edit: i take it back after 10 months (27/6/2023), smosh relevancy is unbeatable and i definitely overlooked and underestimated how much impact smosh has on youtube landscape in the past and now in the present.

Really love Anthony. Lol. His interviews are quite great and he is always respectful to his guests. And now he is the guest. It’s quite nice.

This episode reminded me of how good the boys are at being hosts; to actually improvise entirely and somehow pull out a good 2 hour interview and not have it feel forced or awkward is incredible

What an episode. I'm no Anthony Padilla fan but I really respect him and I have a lot of compliments for him. I'll leave just one: he has a very good and wide vocabulary and knows how to use it

This took me back. I am so glad Anthony is still out there getting motivation for more videos after 17 years! I was 5 yrs old when I watched him. Didn't understand but kept me laughing back then. First family pc was a Windows XP took 10 minutes to load, 240p videos online. Zero ads, a bunch of copyright uploaded free on YT. It truly was the wild west back then. Dont forget the LOST TAPES videos lmao.

As someone who never watched youtube during the Smosh era, this gave me the chance to go and search up some of their old videos. Actually had such a blast watching through so many of their old videos. The 2009s vibe oozing out of the videos was so darn nostalgic.

I started watching Smosh all the way back in 2010 and now I’m 21 and attending University. Anthony is a legend and was apart of my childhood.

I think their formula is just their...solid friendship, regardless of who's sitting next to them. Values that never clash enough to make a dent that could ruin their friendship or work. They have each other's backs by showing up and being honest. And honestly, I love this podcast. I love the specials. Trash taste after dark as well. I just love the three of them doing anything. And I wish all of it would keep going as long as they're comfortable, happy and healthy. And if one day they wake up and go: we're going to do this new thing because we're sick of doing the same old, thing. Then I am all in. I think a lot of trash taste fans just, love the three of them together. Their personalities just go well together. Honestly, no matter what they talk about, I am in. I don't think I've ever watched someone arguing over bread and caring, or laughing about it at all. They just make it work, naturally. Also, Anthony, as always, smashed it. He's so well spoken, down to earth and passionate, one can't help but root for him.

Wow you can tell all 3 of the boys are so inspired and have the upmost respect for Anthony near the end, especially Connor.

This one was an absolute banger. Getting Anthony’s insight on stuff and how far he’s come to where he’s once again super passionate about his content is amazing. Connor being honest about the Smosh movie though was hilarious.

I grew up watching Smosh (I’m 23 now) so seeing Anthony on here honestly makes me extremely happy

Anthony is spot on with the idea in peoples mind that higher views = better video, I would always skip past low viewed videos thinking they weren't worth it. Never heard anyone address it before I was surprised that Anthony brought it up.

That was so engaging, the boys did a great job asking him the questions and Anthony was great at talking, I was paying attention throughout the whole thing

This is giving me some weird whiplash and I love it!

I think this was probably one of the most humbling and informative episodes yet! And having Anthony speak almost made me wish the episode was longer

Thank you trash taste for making the lonely times not so lonely. Throughout my exams in May and June having the weekly podcast to listen to really helped to push through it. Now, my girlfriend has just sadly broken up with me but by listening to the boys just enjoying themselves and talking fills that void a little for 2 hours of my day. Thank you so much ❤

Great Episode! It was very interesting to here all about the progression of KZread and Anthony's experience over his 17 years on the platform, and how he still has room to improve and progress. Very humbling.

It warms my heart to see Anthony on the Trash Taste Podcast as I started watching Smosh in 2009. What I love most is to hear all the experiences about being a KZreadr. These stories are so interesting! My English would never be at the quality it is now without Smosh giving me the motivation to improve.

All this episodes with KZread OG's have been like seing those episodes in series, those where we can see the near future of the caracters after the story ended and how their lifes have continued after the story. Especilally with Anthonyy, I feel like most of us grew up seing his content, and been able to know how much this man still wants to do in this platform, how much he have changed trough the years and that,after all of that, he still sees his job as something to have fun with, is something that makes me really happy for him

I SCREAMED when I opened KZread and saw Anthony as a guest!! So dope I love hearing the inside scoop of what happened with smosh

I really enjoyed this episode. Getting Anthony's perspective as an og youtuber was pretty cool too this collaboration was awesome. ALSO THE BOYS ARE ON TOUR THATS SO EXCITING CONGRATULATIONS. It's super cool to see how far the podcast and the boys have come since like 2020 yk lol.

As someone who grew up with smosh, this did put a smile on my face

i love anthony so much, i watched him in his smosh days and followed him all the way until now! I love seeing these recent episodes with guests from different areas of content creation and im so hyped for the rest to come!

I swear, Anthony seems like such a fantastic dude, from what he makes to how he seems to be as a person. It looks like everyone had a ton of fun during this episode and it felt incredible to watch :)

smosh were one of the channels i can say i grew up with! I use to consume all of their videos and movies and the games up until 2016-17! This episode really hit me with a wave of nostalgia man! Seeing anthony again and hearing him talk about his experience was so interesting! This has to be one of my favourite trash taste episodes till date! yall really did it with this one boys

Me, I was that person that didn't know who he was , im glad you always introduce your guests because outside of j-youtubers I don't watch many others. To be honest I thought Smosh was so cringey back in the day so I never gave it a chance. After listening to this though I feel like I should give Anthony's interview show a chance . Thanks for introducing him on such a casual level.

Word. Had no idea. The only Smosh I ever watched were their collaborations with I Set My Friends On Fire. Recognized him here from memories of those videos.

Thats funny, VTubers(English speaking ones) seem more cringe to me, since they try to sound like the Japanese Vtubers with the high pitched voices.

Many recent Trash Taste videos have felt more like interviews than just some weekly trash talk with the boys. But this episode hits different. The dynamics between them is great and I've really enjoyed it so far (I'm almost halfway through the video but I have to do something else xD )
