Also tends to be the same from the consumer end too. I used to help a friend screen people for art commissions. People who wanted really funded up hentai? Super sweet and polite people. He loves her, and she knows it too, but he never makes a move due to guilt. After a drunken night out, they have a talk about their current situation, and the main "plot" happens. So it is a very wholesome work that I would like to see a sequel with or without the "plot."

When he mentions "even if you're not into something you still read it and enjoy it if the art is great and it is executed well" or something like that, is the exact reason i read and love Ikezaki Misa's work even though i'm not into yaoi stuff.

There are a lot of things that are said in this video could apply to any artist, much of things Shindo talks about are exploration and trying new things, getting out of your comfort zone is a hard thing and you are always weary of what other people think, but he does it. Mad respect for this guy, makes me want to try harder with my art

I believe Connor when he says he always saw battle scenes and sex scenes as similar. He often read sex scenes in his Yaoi videos as though commentating on a battle, and playing battle music, so completely believable.

As someone who's read a lot of both from various areas of the world, in both instances they're extending a moment that lasts around 30 seconds to 20 minutes to an indefinite number of pages. There's a rise of tension and a climax wherein the bond between participating characters and plot is affected in the long run. It's all just the spectacle of intimacy

Honestly despite what most people think ShindoL is pure degenerate work, I believe that he was able to portray the brutal reality of a lot of abuse victims. Sometimes words are not enough and real images are too personal. He honestly blends the goriness and brutality of SA and other horrific acts while still not resorting to showing straight up images. Honestly he is one of the most interesting guests on the podcast yet.

I loved how Joey and Garnt were so excited and bombarded him with questions, and Connor was just listening and nodding most of the time. Hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣

I was waiting for him to talk about his work on the mobile game Taimanin RPG. Too bad its on the closing segment, not much was said. He nailed most of the character he created especially Fuuma Amane. Hopefully he did more for Action Taimanin. Amane is long overdue to be playable character.

A trash taste special were the Bois make their own doujin. Ngl a more depressing Metamorphosis would probably create a more wholesome Jojo ending, therefore balance as all things should be.

I was listening to this in the background while working on a Transformers model kit of Windblade (a girl Transformer) and I don’t remember the time code but heard yall say there’s a lot of H Dojin based on Transformers… honestly not only can I totally believe that, I’m pretty sure this kit I’m working on was designed by an H artist, because she’s insanely pretty and also has quite a Defined ass for a Transformer. Seriously look it up! Like I wouldn’t necessarily call it a Dumptruck Ass, mostly because she canonically turns into a plane (the model kit does not transform) but it is there and appears to have somewhat realistic Squish (despite the character being made of Metal). Fully official Transformers product, but they clearly commissioned someone Cultured.

Facts.

Having Shindo L on the pod is actually the craziest thing so far. Also the fact that he went and watched your guys's stuff before coming on the podcast is like the most adorable, resepctful thing ever. Awesome guest!

I laughed so hard when they think they have f’ed up tastes in tags only for ShindoL to be like “that’s pretty vanilla to me” to some very unorthodox tags. I think my tastes in tags are also on par with ShindoL as well, because some of the tags that are commonly considered to be messed up (like ugly bastard or NTR) are pretty tame to me. Their talk with him is so cool and I’m very glad they had him as a guest, exploring kinks and seeing how beautiful art in hent@i can be is so fascinating to me.

I read the quadraped one and I forgot ShindoL made it. It was indeed pretty wholesome. Out of all the ShindoL things I've read the cow one stuck with me the most. It's a statement on the meat industry and it's all real and it's like you definitely got to think about what you eat and the ethics of how animals are treated.

Probably my favorite episode in a long time. Just hearing experts talking about things is cool. Also, I'm happy that Shindo brought up the Quadruple amputee one that he did just for Connor's reaction alone. But it really is wholesome, of which not many doujins of that tag would be classified as (if at all), considering how extreme it is. Which hearing how Shindo talked about his process, it makes sense that he'd do such a thing. One of the things that I personally always liked was trauma and scar type stuff (physical or mental) in particular just for that unique satisfaction of seeing the characters overcome them and have a good life despite that. And that's not even specific to the topic of the podcast, but in general really.

They got the man himself on! Trash Taste is truly in a league of its own.

The story he talked about at 50:00 is super wholesome and sweet

As someone who has been researching culture for years. I can confirm that metamorphosis is pretty chill

Shindo talking about his favorite tags. Sydney would have been comedy gold for this episode. Connor, Joey, Garnt would be WTF and Sydney would be smiling and asking for more.

Shindo L's one of the h artists I first discovered. Not a fan of his works but he definitely influenced me to draw h. I've been planning to draw my own doujinshi (I have the idea and some sketches). I just can't seem to get the motivation to start because I get intimidated by anatomy. I can draw girls fine but I struggle with drawing the guy's body

Took me long enough to get through this episode but sheesh this has to be some of the best content in terms of pure enlightenment and bewildering statements hahaha Also the sensei is sooo chill and composed that really add up to his humor. Loved it !

To be honest, I dig his mentality. He really does think of these break out of the box ideas that may seem really odd. But it could relate to a group of people that haven't been represented yet or be this untouched creative gold mine. People like him are the innovator.......but man, does some of those things sound WIIIIIIIILD XD

Hentai roughly translate "weird/unusual/strange - topic/article" You can make whatever with it as long its not common & widely acceptable for norm(aka taboo) and call it as "hen-tai" That's why some erotic manga magazine usually embrace ero-manga abbrevation instead

Honestly, hearing Shindo L grew up in the "bad old days" of New York makes so much sense.

This is, actually and literally and indubitably, the best episode in this entire series so far.

This landed easily in the top 5 TT episodes for me. Such a laugh watching

Connor admitting his mistakes? What timeline are we living in, glad he finally realized he overestimated human beings, there are more shitty ones than good one, my father is a good example, chose to side with the woman he remarried and disowned my sister

I think if there was ever a take for Connor to appropriately backpedal on, it’s this one. It’s immensely naive to believe that it’s uncommon for families to blame or disown their children on claims that they were raped/SA’d by a family member. It happens all the time. And no, not just in third world patriarchal countries and religious fundamentalist families. It happens EVERYWHERE.

I've seen some of his doujins and it's a good balance of "Aww, that's sweet" and "Dude, that's really effed up". There's a nice variety of tags and there's gonna be at least one work of his that's gonna appeal to anyone's kinks. Though to be fair... I've seen even more messed up stuff, so take this with a grain of salt.

I think it's just how the trash taste video performed some times. like the video about japanese hostess, although the guest is very interesting it's for very long time like quite a few months not crossed to one million views, and then for the next few month it's crossed 1,2 million views plus and seeing kevin is not a popular youtuber or popular internet personality compared to others, kevin video is performed quite well.

Yes, I'm so glad they're talking about separating the fantasy from reality. It's very paradoxical, as a feminist who enjoys sub, dubcon, and even sometimes noncon...but only because there are certain conventions to "smut logic" that we can turn our brains of and let the trope play out. It *is* concerning if there are people who still think consent is optional. But... I'm sure people don't go to interviews expecting certain things to happen on a black couch.

That one statement about Uma Musume saying no to doujins explain a lot. I've been always wondering why there's an almost complete lack of one even though the community is thirsty for it

I love how Connor is just out of it most of the time, you can really see it when Shindo L talks about normal anime and manga he likes, he just looks so lost haha.

His calm tone makes anything he says sound normal and casual

This podcast was so good! Like the questions and the way that the boys made shindoL feel comfortable and made it a good conversation... Everything was good! And for me as a fellow comic creator and writer, this was liquid gold for info and knowledge. Once again... Thank you so much guys! I'm making your average hero comic for webtoons, but right now I'm trying to make an exclusive R18 GL with some different story telling and this helped me so much... Thank you sensei!

Working on finishing this episode and while working on the dishes, and hearing about the story interested me, despite knowing the ending. It has many lessons that show cause and effect as well as how one thing changes everything, regarding life.

1 year later i wanna say this was one of the best episodes ever in Trash Taste

I guess my personal fave Shindo L doujin, was the Fate doujin of Boudica, cuz dang it's quite historically accurate. Tho the most wholesome doujin I've seen from him is one where there's a delinquent boy, and a rich girl, they did the do, and the boy becomes her bodyguard. Edit: Also Shindo L's happy end in Metamorphosis is that Saki is actually an actress, and Metamorphosis is actually a movie or series.

This was one of my favourite episodes so far!! Great work I saw it on patreon but I wanna like and say it here again! I love you guys! ShindoL was amazing aswell... It's hard to talk openly about some sort of things thats for sure, but I am at least happy that you guys could talk about a thew themes which where questionable for many people. I am also into a lot of doujin or hentai stuff and it's nice to see that people can explain the view of 'How are you are attracted to stuff like that' and differntiate between RL and just are doujin story!! Thanks for the episode!
