Bro, going into KZread completely blind and making it work? That gives me the confidence to try and make my own goals work. Thanks for not giving up! Love your content. And content we didn't know we wanted is the best way to describe your videos imo. Keep it up.

It’s Josh the Manga Lad
the first question about "what was the dinner table like in your household growing up?", may be one of the most outstanding questions to hear for his guests because I'm sure they've never been asked that before!

I like the lighting. If YT hadn't recommended this, then I wouldn't have known joey came on. And he is 100% right about every thing he said about the anime community (puss-ies!).

The crossover I never would have guessed 😂 glad you had Joey on!!
Was not expecting a crossover with the manga-lad but greatly appreciate this crossing of worlds between two of my favourite creators! Love this new series you've got going!

@@patkay Won't be an issue! They talk more about chill Japan vibes/life than they do anime nowadays. Other than asking what shows you watch they'd be perfectly fine with talking whatever you're comfortable with (career, podcast, etc) They haven't had a photographer as a guest yet, and I would think a lot of that fits within chill vibes, whether technical or compositional.
I couldn't comprehend why this podcast project does not get more attention. This is truly quality conversation with lots of sauce and secret recipes. Love the consistency and keep up the good works, man!

Thank you! Appreciate you watching it.
Some of the comments here are unhinged. Of course you need to make sure you're financially (and mentally) stable for your kids. They deserve a safe and nuturing environment to grow in. It's unfortunate that there are a lot of kids who don't get that. I hope they (+ those who feel the need to shame Joey for having what they didn't) can get to a place where they can heal and grow into their own person.
3 minutes in, As a Kid that used to have always busy parents and whenever i try to connect with them they instead would just ignore or sometimes dump all their frustrations to me from work and i just have to take it cuz if i don't they would either say hurtful things such as that i'm ungrateful and that i wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them. I envy you Joey
Another Beautiful Episode cant wait to watch
The crossover I never expected but well worth, been a fan of you both for years!
Let’s gooooo! I love how much Joey can be his genuine self. Great interview questions
The cross over of interests I never knew I needed but loved SO much. Great episode ❤
This podcast with Joey really put me on your channel. Love the question you ask and definitely gonna check out your other interviews.

Fantastic podcast; love Joey's perspective on things and great questions all around!
The lighting, cameras, and set design are immaculate. Reminds me of Chris Williamson. Great interview! Love Joey's philosophy on success and growing as a content creator. Thanks for the vid :)
I can’t believe they got the Joey manga man on here
Great video! I also really enjoy the quality of the entire set up, well done!
The dinner table question is so cool
first off: I love the set! the mic quality, your interview skills, its amazing. I love it so much esp since you relate your experience to who you interview. It gives so much more cultural perspective I've always looked for(and tend to not get) in interviews like these, especially since im chinese american myself. some interviews just have such bland questions and i want to know the nitty gritty in how they grew up as an immigrant, about their culture/family culture. second, it made me laugh and wish I could go visit australia because how you two described sydney is very similar to how people describe the big cities in the US(NYC/Seattle/SF/LA) because of the diversity. i live in one of those big cities and i forget that being surrounded by people different and similar to you is something a lot of the world isnt like. fuels my want to one day make the long journey to see how its like down under(esp with so many aussie friends) and get to go vacationing, yet experience a different version of the diversity and melting pot of cultures I am so familiar with. weird ramble, but basically, i love what youre doing. has me thinking a lot. keep it up!
this video was beautiful. it made me self reflect a lot. thank you
The set ambience and cinematography is really beautiful
1:52:36 time well spent. Pay your are amazing, Joey you are amazing. Thank you.

Awesome interview guys! Very insightful. Somehow I was engaged through most of it even with my ADHD, haha. That says something.
All these episodes have been great, a few creators I’ve watched before hand I found your channel in late April from when you used the rx100 vii against your friend with a full frame Canon
The answer that joey gave for the first question answers a lot about his Bochi take
Thank you Pat for having Joey on your podcast. I don'thave the "TikTok" brain and watched the 2hrs in one sitting. On top of that I have no clue about Anime but do read people and got a positive vibe from Joey from the get go which made me subb to all channels of his and Trash Taste of course. - I hope your average view time is decent and with that said I send you greetings from Germany ☮

@@patkay I think (if they mean it like I do) it's nice to see more of this side of Joey these days. The person behind the anime discussions.
Seeing that quote in the thumbnail makes me wonder how my 20s would have been if my Asian parents gave me the freedom to at least try first at doing something I'm more passionate about. I'm fortunate enough now where I'm in a career that has a lot of flexibility and allows me to still pursue photography semi-professionally so the dream lives on! Happy to have come across your channel from @TheAnimeMan 😁
camera work is crazy
Hold up, why is Joey here? this is a very unexpected golden collab
Crazy to remember Joey and I are the same age. WIld. It's no wonder I love his taste in anime/manga. They're the same ones I grew up with lol. Also funny since I got into manga after watching anime and realizing there's more source material, and already being a book dragon and loving book adapations due to Narnia, I read those and became hooked in much the same way as Joey. I also got bullied for like Naruto lol. The good ole days eH? Lol. Also I couldn't stop smiling watching this Pat, thanks!
