Joe Pesci - the villian with the gold tooth in Home Alone, Tommy DeVito in Goodfellas, Vincent in My Cousin Vinny. Most people miss the punchline at the end because it's drowned out by the applause - he says "God bless Joe Pesci... Joe belss you". George and Joe were very good friends and George has said that Joe was one of the funniest people he knew. I believe Joe was at this special.

How does this only have 47 likes as of this reply!? You're speaking so much truth my friend. I grew up in the 90s with my parents originally showing me the magic of this man's comedy. Everything I discovered was just amazing… I feel so lucky I was able to see him in 2008, only a few months before his death on his "it's bad for ya" tour. The best part, it was in my hometown, in a small theater… That made it even more special. My favorite living comedian? Bill Burr without question.

Pretty much on spot there about the Roman Empire. Another reason for Rome's downfall was that Christianity also became at odds with Rome's own past history. Think about it, Rome was a fierce conqueror before Christ, but Christ wasn't preaching anything of the sort. And I don't think Christ was in favor of slavery either. But even so at times the Church did have wars in the name of God/Christianity and recruited people for their armies to wage it as well. The crusades was another thing that the church began and supported, etc.

@@davemick7216 wars have been made to make a place democratic or free in recent years, the idea of religion playing a role in politics in secular societies does not make much sense anymore. Significance or purpose is a construct which we all do in our lives such as atheists gravitating toward richard dawking and christopher hitchen as their own prophets. Its irrelevant to say a religion causes conflict often conflict since the roman empire as been based on threat to elite power structures, also defining every religious doctrines as a new category of "Religion" removes any anaylses of these supposedly conclicts that may be in religion as not all religions share philosphy and even our own atheists philospher are still rooting in christian foundations

That quote is paraphrased. The actual quote is "and no religion too" as a follow up lyric near the end of the second verse of Lennon's song 'Imagine'. Anyway, as a fellow atheist I have to encourage you to not spread facts that aren't so accurate. Most people have died in wars, most of which were for territory, control, greed, expansionist ideals of regimes and power hungry leaders. Many people have died in the name of religion, but when factoring all causes of deaths throughout history, religion was only one factor in the wars that caused the most deaths, it was not the sole factor nor primary factor and it was not the leading factor for the majority of wars nor what caused the majority of them. For the majority of wars, again, it was mainly kingdoms or empires where the regime or leader in power had been power hungry to expand, to take advantage of other people's lands and resources, to enslave (for labour or sexual purposes), and of course, to enrich themselves. For those who were at the helm of these kingdoms, the lives of their people meant little, much less those of foreign people. Instead of spreading misinformation, how about we as positive atheists focus on spreading information that actually IS correct when looking at the statistics, like how most of the more secular countries (ex. Finland, Norway, Denmark, Australia) fare better on a variety of metrics (healthcare, education, economy, overall happiness and other metrics) compared to more religious countries like the USA, Arab countries, and most of Africa.

You may have heard the term "Sunday best" this refers to wearing your best clothes to attend church for Sunday service. Well unfortunately some people still choose to judge people by what they wear rather than what's in their heart. My culture has a similar thing when it comes to criticising someone's wedding you've been invited to. I've never understood it since I was a child but they typically complain about the venue or the food. It's very petty and I've always hated that aspect of my culture.

The going to church to compare clothes rang so true to me. I got baptized when I was 17. I was attending a Catholic school at the time. But I was going to mass at school with other students. You know, people who dressed and looked like me. Then I graduated and found myself having to go to mass at a church. So arrived at 8 am on Sunday and saw all the people in their absolute best suits and dresses. It never occurred to me that I was wearing jeans and a tee shirt. So at mass I literally sat by myself. Not a single person sat within 10 feet of me. That's when I realized that religion and church were bullshit. I left and have not gone back since.

First time watching ur channel, it just random played this video and I enjoyed it. Ya’ll should react/watch “ill mind of hopsin 7.” It’s a song about religion. If you do, I suggest you turn the captions on so u can read the lyrics. The song says exactly how I feel about religion.

I can't remember who said this, and I'm paraphrasing, "If you get rid of religion completely, no trace or records or anything then get rid of everything about science and discoveries and math eventually someone will figure those things out again and science and math will be completely proven and tested and will be exactly the same but all of the religions will be nothing like they were or completely different from the ones that were here."

This is why George is still GOAT! He got water melon sized steel BALLS. And when they tried to shut him down, he took them all the way to the US Supreme court and gave them an ass beatdown they never forget. It's one of the reasons so many comedians today look up to him as an inspiration. As one atheist to another, may you rot in peace, we will never see you again. Thank you for the memories and wisdom.
