Today we dive into legendary English electronic band Depeche Mode. "Before We Drown" is the sixth single from their fifteenth studio album MEMENTO MORI released in March 2023. It marks their first album to be recorded and released as a duo, after the death of co-founder and keyboardist Andy Fletcher.

It's incredible that this is coming out at this point in their career. Their voices and this song in general are magical. I am just loving memento Mori; many songs that I thought were "ok" when I first heard them are becoming top 20 DM favorites. Wonderful reaction.

Hello,thank you for the video!In my point of view, the song and the video is about our life span.The man arrive at the shore,for me its symbolized the last part of he's(our) life,and he heading to the end,fall down and stands up until he's last breath.He goes long as he can,but finally the last moment in time has come for him, and he fall into the oceans of the past,if it's makes sense.Sorry,english is not my native language.best wishes from Hungary
This whole album is a reflection on life and death. Remember, Andy Fletcher unexpectedly died in 2022.

As a big fan of theirs since the beginning, I love the feeling and atmosphere of this song. In the back of my mind I can’t help but think what extra magic Alan Wilder would have brought to this but I appreciate it nonetheless.
